We got what we deserved today. No attempt to play football, just happy to give it to the keeper and let him launch it up to two big but ineffective guys up front. It really is terrible football. As a result nobody really wants the ball or moves to receive it. Any half-decent coach wouldn’t tolerate this, but Dyche and his crew probably think we played well and deserved something out of the game.

Major fire in Liverpool City Centre. Was hoping it was the new stadium. Sick and tired of supporting this team. Shit show again.
Same old problem we cant pass the ball and retain possession in the opposing half. Lost count of the times we had chances to play an easy ball into space and either hit one of their players, overhit the ball or just plain passed it to one of them. Another habit that infuriates me is all the little flicks and taps they try to play giving the ball away usually as a result of 3 or 4 players all ending up in the same patch of pitch. Incidentally I have seen training sessions of them doing exactly this. Someone needs to fine them for every time they play one. If you cant pass the ball, protect it and retain possession with patience then you going to lose more games than you win especially when you resort to long balls to your forwards more often than not turning the ball over.

Think you're wrong about not blaming the manager. I know we've got a load of dross on the pitch but in my opinion the best managers just "connect " on a pysoclogical with their players. Look at the best managers in the business, past and present, they get inside the players heads and make them believe! In the modern (shite) game you dont need a coach you have coaches on your staff which cover everything, even diving and sqealing like a stuck pig coaches! The managers job is to make the players BELIEVE!! they dont even need a proper footy background. Look at Ted Lasso😂

Hey Ped, awful performance & result unfortunately but I just wanted to say I enjoy the pre match walk to the ground you have started doing it's great to "experience" it albeit virtually for this exiled Toffee.. although all being well I will get to experience in person for the first time ever in April for the Burnley as long as it's not moved like the Palace game was. Despite our predicament I still can't wait to be there & experience it.

Think you're giving Dyche a pass there, the previous league game proved 4-4-2 doesn't work against Luton. He had Danjuma as option from the start, would have been best way to try break them down rather than pointless hoofing

Everton have been my team for over 65yrs and always will be - but it’s so bloody hard supporting them at the moment!! Another poor performance today against another poor team in Luton. Toothless up front and our passing/set plays were once again dire! Some will say we don’t need an FA Cup run given our situation - however this defeat is physiologically damaging! I know he hasn’t played many games but Beto has already got a huge question mark over him and as for DCL he will never be a striker that will get 15/20+ goals a season . I fear for our future - if we manage to survive this season it will be more of the same again next season - players who can fetch money will be sold and we will do are shopping in the bargain basement/loan market yet again! Everton are seriously damaging my mental health - but they are my team - onwards and upwards - I hope !!!🤞 COYB💙
