      The funniest thing about it was the USAPL guy who investigated the complaint and concluded that the real issue was that Inzer was actually 7mm stiff neoprene while Iron Rebel and others were deceiving the audiences by actually only having 3mm.

    • @snorlaxcom
      @snorlaxcom Рік тому +4

      Yes that backfired in his face. 😂 Inzer was ruled as just the superior product and complainers didn't know what they were talking about when saying there was rubber in the sleeve. Neoprene is a type of rubber.😂 Looked like 🤡 after that.

    Thanks for the video. I'm planning on doing something similar but add in a few you didn't cover (Hansu, Cerberus, AUG, Pioneer) and prob not hit on the Helix or VHiI. From what I've found personally is there are 2 main shapes (Ergo & Cone) and a few outliers (A7 & Oni). Other than that what it comes down to for best sleeve is leg shape and sizing. A lot of similiarly shaped sleeves are just so different in sizing that I think people end up preferring one over the other without being properly fit. For example a comp fit for me in the Inzer is a size small, large in A7, XL in pioneer, XXL in cerberus, etc... Right now for me, based off my leg shape and sizing, I've found the XL Pioneers to be my preferred (they're also the most dense weight wise) of the sleeves I've used.

    • @TheSwolefessor
      @TheSwolefessor  Рік тому +5

      Looking forward to seeing your video, especially as you’ll be covering some of the brands that I didn’t! It 100% comes down to preference for sure at the end of the day, and you’re exactly right when it comes to the sizing. I keep expressing to people to take the time to actually measure and go off the sizing charts rather than guessing what to get based on what they wear in a different brand.

    • @BasementBrandon

      @@TheSwolefessor Agreed, I've been telling everyone to use the size chart for that particular brand and not to size down. We're so programmed from the last gen of sleeves to go down a size or two. Too much of a gamble these days and sizing is all over the place as you've shown here in the video.

    • @BasementBrandon
      @BasementBrandon Рік тому +2

      @@winterizcold8605 I prob won't unless they send me some. Spent way too much already lol.As Marcellus mentioned in another post, they look to be just like Inzers, which would confirm to my basic shape and sizing comments above. Personally the Inzer shape don't work well for my leg b/c of the lower flares.

    • @prospect_joe9813
      @prospect_joe9813 Рік тому

      Do (or Marcellus if you see this) reckon that there's *really* much variance in the quality of the neoprene across brands? Surely there aren't that many neoprene suppliers. The variance should (imo) come from shape, size, and construction methods. I have 3 year old A7's that work fine, but the seams cut me on longer workouts and are meh. I was planning on seeing if anything in this video swayed me and then choosing between Hansu, Pioneer, and Ceberus based on price and seam design lol

    This was a really good video. I'm one of the few that do see knee sleeves dropping left and right and I'm just like damm do I need to upgrade but learning how in-depth it gets reassures that I'm good where I'm at for now. I would just be adjusting for the sake of it as opposed to needing it. Appreciate all the time and effort that went into this! I can only imagine the amount of time that went into this.

      The technology is continuing to develop and quality control is becoming more consistent across the board, so taking your time in picking up next gen neoprene isn't a bad idea since they are expensive. The Iron Rebels are definitely mislabeled on sizes, not sure why they chose to label them that way. I wear mediums in my Stoics and had to go 2XL on the Iron Rebels. The first couple of times to get them on almost made me regret using them at all. However, what I found out with any of these stiff sleeves was to if you like to wear compression pants then that makes putting these on a ton easier in training (no kidding, 10x easier to put with the use of wrist straps as well). I love them now that I have used them more, they feel great if I get them above the chunky part on my calf.

      Hey man! So what happened in that situation was tragic, but that being said it’s not a usual occurrence. You want to make sure you have good spotters and that they KNOW how to properly spot you. You can even just UA-cam “how to spot someone on a squat.” You also typically want side spots vs just one back spotter (all three are ideal).
      As the lifter, you want to have the safety bar set up if you have access to them if you don’t have any spotters. Assuming you don’t have spotters then you can always bail out on the squat as well if you feel the need to. You can also watch videos on how to do that as well.

It sucks bc they were super easy to get on and off compared to my inzer ergo pros. I’m going to try the strength shop inferno pros next. I’d try the helix but their size chart doesn’t accommodate for anything over 16 inches. My calves are almost 17 inches. Did you get the Infernos? I wouldn't buy them again. I got 2xl pair in the summer, it took 12 sessions before I tore them (what was most surprising it wasn't in the stitching). Strength shop support is nice, I got them replaced for a pair of XL but today it was my 9th session in the sleeves (I was injured for some time and then ill for more than a month and I use 'em only for heavy sessions) and I can already see small tears in the material again. So I'm considering buying new sleeves and TKS seems like a best performanc sleeve but if they are also easy to tear I might go for another brand... Btw how stiff are TKS vs inferno pros?
