You made so many excellent points about this brand. I hope someone from Lancôme listens to this video! By the way, I love your channel. Your voice and the way you describe the blends are exceptional!
I completely agree!! I have become very frustrated with this line. I'm not sure if the American site has the same problem, but the Canadian site almost never has more than two of the Maison Lancome fragrances in stock (on top of discontinuing them almost as fast as they introduce them). A lot of Designer and luxury brands are starting to behave like fast fashion. They introduce and discontinue a scent in the same year.
Thank you for another amazing video with a much needed discussion about the brand. Your channel always brings something new to the table and I really appreciate you share your unfiltered opinions. I would love to know your recommendations for fragrances with violet as a dominant note 🙏🙏🙏
This is a line that saddens me with what they discontinue. This comes off as greed and impatience. It's like they decided if the perfume doesn't sell like Oud Bouquet or Jasmins Marzipan, then it's discontinued in a year. I would even prefer them to bring discontinued fragrances back over creating new ones. It would bring me such joy to have fragrances like Lavandes Trianon, tuberouse castane, Parfait de Roses back. I'm hesitant to make any of their fragrances my signature scent for fear of it being discontinued.
I second bringing discontinued fragrances back. And I completely agree with the annoyance with them discontinuing just about everything. There is no real need for it, it definitely is discouraging
Nice review! I agree the suede/leather note is very dominant on me and I did not expect that. I’m still not sure how I feel about it. I think this smells better on paper than it does on me.
They changed the packaging and reformulated Jasmins Marzipan. I want an old bottle. The new one is very weak. I'll do another skin test tonight but It is not the same.
Good timing, Macy's is having a decent sale on Maison Lancome right now with Magnolia Rosae on sale. Agree with you overall that when they chose to upgrade the premier line with the bigger bottles, things got kind of similar and less challenging followed with a discontinuation kick. Personally Lavande Trianon was close enough to Mon Guerlain, got latter. Found Parfait de Roses and Roses Berberanza, really different and chose the latter. I have the original Oud Bouquet and didn't agree with the expensive upgrade bottle. I just wish they'd bring back Mille et Une Roses. As I don't have the budget to be a collector, in the future, Maison Lancome is going to be strictly travel size only. Rather spend money on smaller indie houses that use more natural ingredients, more bang for the buck. Beautiful bottles and premier lines just don't do it as much for me anymore.
A few years back, just a few month after it's launch, I tried to buy Magnolia Rosae on Lancome's website. But there was only the small bottle left, and soon after, this fragrance was discontinued. Like you said, I think they are over curating their fragrances. They seems to enter one new fragrance and cancel three for the occasion. 😒
I love Jasmine Marzipan and Lavander Trianon, OUD Bouquet it’s all right not my favorite and I have a few of there other fragrances., They Charge a Arm & Leg for these fragrances and I think it’s Ridiculous 6-21-2021👍🏽👍🏽❤️❤️
I couldn't agree with you enough about this line. Although I don't love all the older realises, I still appreciate and respect the uniqueness of every single creatioin. I kind of lose intereste in the new releases. The creation is getting boring, the performance is getting weaker, the prices are getting higher, and the packagings are not as beautiful as they used to be. I'm even considering hunting a 3rd backup bottle for my beloved Roses Berberanza...

I agree! I don’t understand why companies discontinue good fragrances to make room for newer ones.
I can see the need for editing from time to time, but the rate that Lancome discontinues fragrances in their Maison Lancome lineup is ridiculous
Thanks for your honesty and for calling out Lancome and other premier lines with their policies on discontinuation / rehashing the same scents.
Love the Lancôme upper tier line, really nice quality
It really is!
Just bought Magnolia Rosae. It's available online at Saks.

What type of violet? Powdery, Fruity/sweet, aromatic?
@@BeautyMeow maybe you can do one or two for each category? It would be great to see your pick since I haven’t seen a lot of videos about this note

Yea. When I woke up, nothing.
dissappointing!
I also agree with you about this house. I love Parfait de Roses and it’s no longer available 😒 I rarely use my bottle because I’m afraid to use it up
Thats how I feel about the discontinued ones I own. I rarely touch them, which is sad

I feel a lot of the premier lines are getting super lazy.
My favourite love is Fique& Agrumes💖💖💖
Thank you! Best review ever!
Sounds sophisticated and complex!

They are very pricey
