My pin wasn’t pushed back it had just melted the end off. Forget melting the plastic and trying to pull the pin. Just order a new light board / socket for £30. Edit- thanks for your upload mate. You helped me find the fault I couldn’t figure out for months 💪
Thanks a lot, I own a 2018 X2, you the only video in the whole internet that gives an explanation to what my car might be going through. In my case: it’s only the rear blinkers and tail light of both sides not working, yet the computer only reads “left signal malfunction”, I couldn’t find the fuse for them, since the manual nor the small paper by the fuse box are clear on what’s what! Thanks for the video 😎👍🏼
Hi great video this has massively helped. Looks like I need a new connector too as mine has melted shut. Do you have any videos on how to replace this ? Would be greatly appreciated
Hi mate thank you for your great video just had this problem on my 1 series 2013 unfortunately the pin had snapped off in the plug so think I’m gonna need a new bulb holder and a new plug are the plugs easy to change any help and advice would be much appreciated cheers
not too bad a job but you will need a terminal removal tool like amzn.to/3aLhJqw , you use it by pressing the probe into the back of the terminal to remove wire from the connector block, Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠
Rear fog light fault on mine. On dash. But is working. Cluster does not seam as bright as the other side.. Driving lights only. Can you advise please. Thanks Andy
Hi, thanks for the video. This might not be strictly related, but I have a broken F20 rear lights, part for the plastic was cracked and I am having a hard time separate the plastic part from the circuit. See if you could help! thanks a lot!
Sorry I've got a question, you didnt repair it, you put it back like it was before... How do u know it won't happen again? This is more like a temporary fix no?
Hello mate, I have a 2011 1 series e87. Both of the reverse lights didn’t work when I bought the vehicle, I bought 2 socket holders as they were damaged. I have now replaced them and the drivers side reverse light stays on and won’t turn off and the passenger side doesn’t work at all. Just wondering if you could help me? Thanks
hey mate i have a bmw 118i 2005 model and my left rear light is not working is it possible that its the fuse indicator works fine thou, if it is the fuse any idea which fuse it is?thanks
Hiya mate seem like a top man keep up the videos, only recently found you on UA-cam watching your Toyota Aygo videos as I have a Citroen c1! Really helpful videos, would love to see a video on the apex springs! If you could get in touch with me I understand you’re busy but I have some questions if you could answer! Keep up the good work mate!
I have problem with parking light, i change the bulb and still don.t work and error is still there, might be from fuse box? ( only parking light don.t work... another light from left side work normal) . If somebody know please reply here :) thanks
It is possible a fuse could be faulty but more likely the body control module is where the bulb control comes from , like I said in my previous comment it’s worth checking for a fault code resetting the EOBD or even disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes and then reconnecting it’s surprising how these faults can be cured this way Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠
