first off great video, I'm wondering why you got so much noise each time you recorded with the 710? I own both of these preamps and the 710 never sounds that bad. please note I'm not a 710 glory boy, because I'm not. just wondering out there was a fan or something was on while the 710 was being tested? bad cable, etc?
It could be that they are passing through the API Lunchbox. Don't usually get as much noise. It was happening with both 710s that I have, though... both of which are routed through the API Lunchbox. Cheers -Ryan
@@Crypticmaskguitar to be honest I have the 710, and it sounds the same as your unit . It's a good pre amp , but I've actually decided to sell as I'm rarely using it at the moment.
I've got the ISA ONE ... hands down the best, NEVE is all you need to know - it's basically built as a single channel from a NEVE desk ... say no more.
It's a good preamp, that's for sure! One of the main selling points is the ISA 110 function on the ISA One, which is one of the few things that Rupert Neve had a hand in before he sold out of Focusrite. Cheers -Ryan
Got an ISA 1 and never used it Yet. I don’t have any doubts now That it was a Good choice and know what to expect. I like that cleaner smooth sound On your guitar. For recording I would use that over the 710 in this demo. Thanks🎷
The noise floor on the UA twinfinity is out of control - not sure you could use this preamp on a serious recording. The Focusrite ISA was dead quiet though and let the guitar shine through. Easy win for the Focusrite ISA.
I'm tired of watching the ISA outperforming more expensive pre's.. It never had the coloration of neve 1073, but it has a wide,musical,bold,useful,"record-like" sound with just this touch of color from the lundahl input transformer.. Thx for the video Ryan! I've been watching your videos since the cowcar days! (that's how I learned about ISA) Btw, what's ur opinion on the Focusrite Red 1 500series?? Besides the Lundahl input, it has a Carnhill custop output transformer. By what I've read or heard, it is said it sounds clean but expensive, but I guess it has more coloration and weight than the ISA,due to the output transformer
Thanks for watching... for a long time haha! The Red 500 series used to be on my radar for my Lunchbox. But I haven't heard a sound sample of it (just read reviews) and it is never in stock anywhere where I live. Cheers -Ryan
the ua are more bass sound an very very very very noiseless uffff its the sound of early '70, but the isa win the soun are more plane and more more quiet
The Focusrite ISA One sounds 5000% better. Bet most of you probably don't even know Rupert Neve founded & owns Focusrite huh? Yeah he does, & that's why Focusrite products have those high end sounds to them.
That's the Key Selling point to this Preamp. it's the Preamp from the Forte Console designed by Rupert Neve in the late 80s.... that's why their logo was the two f's for a bit... Focusrite Forte. HOWEVER... Rupert SOLD Focusrite like 30 years ago. like many of his ventures Rupert sold Focusrite and moved on. You'll notice now that Rupert Neve is involved with SE Electronics and Rupert Neve Designs. Heads up Rupert Neve doesn't even own NEVE anymore that is why they are AMS NEVE. Cheers -Ryan
Wow if the 710 hisses that bad I'm shocked they are even able to sell any of those.
yeah I was thinking about a 710 instead of avalon v5, but the one 710 has to much noise and it's not just this video, it's loud on other videos also

@@Ansell417 They're the same except the two has two pres instead of one. I use it everyday to track my bass in the studio.
I love my isa one too 💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿
the twinfinitys noise level was loud af

August Leo I own 4710d this should not be an issue - not sure what went wrong
ISA ONE mucho más silenciosa . Mejor ISA ONE 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Is it possible that Focusrite isa One has much less noise / hum than the Universal Audio ?
yes
universal are '60 sound noise!!!, the isa one sound better
ISA wins

The best isa !!!!! kkkkkkkkkkk
How’s this in comparison to grace design m101?
could definitely hear that noise floor on the twinfinity. using Ultrasone pro 750 to listen.
Bro can u suggest best budget preamp for home studio

that guitar is badass. I thought the UA sounded better on most settings. the focusrite also sounded very good
Very Good my bro
