I love this album! It's beautiful, fresh, haunting... TMV is a treasure. As we're approaching the end of the world via nuclear holocaust it feels good to have beautiful music like this to listen to.
Thank you guys for transforming my life. Been a fan since 2003 and I’m so grateful for the colors and pictures you guys have gifted us with. I can say with certainty it was TMV that changed my perspective on what music could be. Love you guys. Fuck Danny Masterson I hope you all can heal. ✌️ Welcome back you were dearly missed and right now the world needs your music, your perspective ✌️
This band has gotten me through so much in college and the military, then they went away. I am now in a better place and for them to return is like a life long dream to finally come true. Thank you Cedric and Omar
I highly, highly recommend The Zane Lowe Interview with The Mars Volta that came out about 2 months ago. I hadn't seen Cedric open up like that before. So glad they got back together and made such an amazing album
Couldn’t have said it better myself! I found them after losing a bunch of people randomly and I found purpose in music which led to me having my child. I’ve been waiting 15 years to see them live and next month it’s happening!
I probably racked up as much bandwidth charges streaming it repeatedly as when I finally bought the CD/MP3s. I should just have bought it immediately, lol.
Love TMV through and through. Had the privilege to see them in DC. First concert in over two years, and it was the happiest night in over two years! Danced my ass off!
The same Volta energy is there, but it's being channeled into a form of subtlety; you'll find it in the mix and arrangement. In every section of a song there is something different happening, and if it repeats itself, it sounds different; it's exaggerated, or restrained. Unlike their past albums, every instrument really gets to say something. I'm finding myself coming back to songs for different reasons, like to hear Omar harmonizing with Cedric's lines, or to hear the arrangement open up after the first chorus of Cerulea. This album is full of flow hooks.

YOOO, I am beyond stoked right now, just finding out about the new album after randomly wanting to listen to De-loused on YT and seeing recent uploads. I haven't seen these guys live in 20 years, I would LOVE to see them live again. Been with Cedric since early ATDI. I loved Omar's solo shit, too. Wow, I'm so happy right now.
I absolutely love this track and this whole album in fact! The Toronto show was so electric and I sure as hell hope this is the begging of another chapter for TMV. ❤
Damn, these lyrics feel terrifying... they remind me of a certain someone from a certain "religion" who did terrible things to people and is trying to get away with it. Thank you, Omar & Cedric, and the rest of the crew, for bringing us this great piece of art!
These lyrics are dark. If I tune out the lyrics, I can get lost in the upbeat rhythms. Some how both lyrics and beat go well together. I get the feeling the album is telling a story about an abusive relationship. A third party is trying to aid the victim.
Hard to complain about such a great setlist, but would have loved to hear this or another song from the record. Some more Noctourniquet too. Nitpicking here, but hopefully TMV stay an active band and we get more chances to hear some of these songs live. Long live TMV
@@TheJayofthejungle Yeah its great. I found it a bit weird how cedric was yelling the chorus, but i kinda get that he did it to keep the energy up because its normally a pretty mellow song. I'd have loved to have heard dyslexicon. That song fucks.

Bless TMV. Witnessing them live was a soul transcending experience.
Still riding a high from the two dallas shows my wife and I went too, absolutely magnificent two nights.
Indeed, just caught them in Chicago, & they were incredible . . . Cedric somehow sounds better than ever
@@billepperson2662 right?? Sobriety and peace has done more for his vocal performance than I ever could have imagined.
For real. Saw them in NYC almost 2 weeks ago and still feeling the effects of it.

100% this ❤
So much love for these boys! So happy to have them back with us! 👌🏾🔥🙏💙
I'm still in shock from the Atlanta show, it was really special. Cedric has never sounded better.
Best band of all times
Love this album so much
My 10 year old had the time of her life seeing them in Milwaukee
Can’t thank them enough for what they gave me
Wow, awesome!
I've been stuck on repeat with this album since it came out.
On replay at the gym for me.
I play blank condolences non stop!!! I'm digging this album.

Me too. It was magic
Gracias por haberme salvado la vida ya hace unos cuantos años atrás. Los amo. Saludos desde Argentina
One of the album's best tracks. This track grooves in different directions at the same time.
I think it might be the best next to Equis 3
This is straight up one of their best songs!
this video was perfect paired with a blunt 🔥
welcome back, guys!!!!
Hope they start playing this song.
"But I will erase you
The flash burns from flashbacks
I think I'm comin' undone
He brought the gavel to run
All the crooked, little cities"
Amazing video, amazing song, amazing album.
Amazing experience to see them live here in Denver last night.
New York, Terminal 5, night two: mind blowing experience. Thank you.

What do you mean about the song ceruela?
Couldn't agree more!
Such a beautiful album. What a great Sunday morning album with the classic TMV arrangement complexity.
@@Kal-EL_Volta I meant to say 'hear the mix open up', sorry

The Volta lives
The drums remind me a bit of Deantoni Parks' playing on Noctourniquet. Great song
Gracias por estar de regreso, me sumergiré en aguas oscuras.
Grande The Mars Volta.
Toronto show blew me away. Welcome back TMV.
Beautiful video. Lots of interesting textures. My favorite song from the new album.

Dude, see them if you can. I've seen them three times and back in the day they were great, but now they're just a tight, kickass band.
This and Royal Coda's albums are the only music in my rotation lately. I love it.
Just saw their SF Show, they were amazing to see on stage. Wish I could've met them up close.
I always sing the "flashburns from flashbacks" part too early.
Love this song and video. And TMV. ❤
I love this dad Volta record, & the tour has been an absolute joy - best they’ve sounded in years
This album is pure gold...very emotional and deep...
Ho yes as others said so much love for you guys !!! Your music is one of the best gift on earth !!! ❤
Thank you for everything guys. Been listening for almost 20 years, since I was 14.
I was touched by your passionate beautiful song!!!
I was hoping for them to play more new songs. Their new album is beautiful.
Maybe after they hit the world tour I assume to be following this one.
LOVE the new album MV. Much love to you guys
I love you guys! Por favor vengan al sur!! Necesitamos de su magia en vivo. saludos! 🇧🇴🇦🇷

That's the first TMV song I've heard and holy crap, I haven't heard something so captivating in a looong time.

Que Dios Te Bendiga Mars Volta ❤

The vocals over the music… I think is what the kids would call “layered”.

I think they're saving some songs for later in the tour to keep it interesting for them.

I can't explain it, but this is one of the most disturbing music videos I've ever seen.
the way they play with the sounds and change which instrument is focused really reminds me of Pink Floyd, especially in this track.
war camp vibes, Dante vibes, essential killing, exploitation of native by behemots and sadness vibes
Anybody else happen to be like me as far as the mindfuck when i realize Cedric actually went to study John The Volta Scientology?
