I am a jet ski owner and love to ride in all water conditions.... the only thing that keeps the ski from beating the h#ll out of you in rougher waters is being able to stand up and avoid the transference of shock through your body. This ski will undoubtedly beat you up in choppy water.
thats why they are letting people test them in a lake, its better for sales. imagine this thing jumping waves 🤕 i would wear a helmet and a safetybelt if i was to jump anything in this.. you are getting the steering wheel right in the face a wheel placed like that in a car can break your arms in a accident,. i think this also could give shock problems other places then in the back/neck if you start treating it like a jetski
I wouldn't say it's really meant for ocean going or hitting waves. Seems more like a lake ripper, kinda like a smaller version of a mini jet boat. Those aren't great on the ocean either but shred lakes and rivers. Literally a go kart of the water. Quick and tight turns
It's not meant for choppy water and would probably be painful. There's a reason why they make PWCs the way they do and not like this. There have been attempts by the big mfgs to make something like this, but it's always failed. That's because there's no shock absorbing in the seat. So when you hit any chop, it hurts your back. You could do damage to your spine if you did a jump in this watercraft. With a normal PWC, you use your legs as the shock absorber when getting air. Look at any fast boat, and it will have a post to lean against or seats that the bottom drops down so you can stand. Race boats have seats with special shock absorbers to take the hit.
@@Jonathan.DI am making mine based on that if it works i will let you know but I am working on the issue and testing it myself in lake Erie not rivers and ponds ,,,real waves that will beat you up ,,,I have good rides in 1/2 foot chop but have new hull design to land softer along with personal features ,, but mine is for speed ,,,,,

he should give you a ride if you ask him, after all this is a great selling point i would suggest to go test some of seadoo´s jetboats in some waves, this wont handle well in waves. they might also provide better acces if that is importent. a little tune up and a seadoo jetboat is a fun toy where you also can bring friend for the fun
If I was younger I'd get one. I live in British Columbia Canada and there are hundreds of lakes which are only 4wheel drive accessible. A regular size boat and trailor is just too big. This hitched on a small 4x4 is heaven! Bit on the noisy side though. The only drawback is that Forestry Department up here is trying to limit the lakes which allow gas powered boats.
I have owned jetskis for many years. Problem 1. It is a one seater. 2. When riding a normal jetski your legs are the suspension. Unless it was a calm day; your back would take an absolute beating. So always solo and must have calm waters; you should not even ride over wake if you cant use your legs to flex and absorb the impact.
This is a really sick little toy, if he can hit 60mph and it doesn’t flip, and handles rougher water, people will be lining up around the corner for them
have you ever tried a jetski in ruff weather (i have tried in a hurricane storm 🤣) this is not made for ruff water, this is for lakes and stuff like that. you would be banging your head to the steering wheel like a headbanger in ruff weather in this one. i would pick a jetski for ruff water over this any day i would use a helmet if i was to have fun in this, even on a smooth surface.. but i would also test it´s limits to the max this is not the first of it´s kind, only the bigger jetboats like seadoo´s makes sense and have sticked around with a little tune up, a seadoo jetboat will do the same and much more like handeling handeling waves and bring friends to enjoy the day or go on longer trips with some kind of gear, and so on
Sitting in this watercraft puts your back in a posture that is more likely to cause injury when riding in rough seas. There's no travel in the seat to cushion the ride. Still, I would love to take it for a ride!
As an ocean jet boat and wet bike driver I can tell you that, although it may be fast and maneuverable on flat water, it would be dangerous physically on the waves where we have our fun. Looks like a back breaker!
He ran through his own turn wake a few times. Looked ok. Judging by the amount of water over the bow, it would submarine in 1’ to 2’ chop. I wouldn’t be running it on water with a long fetch.
That’s what I was going to ask. I remember when Wet Bikes first came out. My brother bought 2 and they were fast. I’d crash and go skipping across the water. They’re the ones that look like a Motorcycle.
The product I want is… once your jetski is old pull the engine and have a system that I can just bolt my engine into. It would be cool to have a seadoo switch type, a CraigCat type, and the one in this video… Something that takes Yamaha jetski engines and seadoo engines… maybe an adapter for one or the other.
Some genius that likes to the van life or survival style situations needs to make something like that that connects to the back of a giant pontoon vehicle with two solar-powered pontoon boats and it could be the big engine for the boat but also disconnects for fun.
The crashes are going to be brutal because your legs are going to get hammered. A jet ski you get thrown off in to the water but that machine it seems like your legs will take a big hit. I love the machine though it looks like a ton of fun.
Fast as defined by whom? One seater under 200 h.p. why should I buy this particular model when there are lots of others available that have been available for years. Bombardier owns Rotax unless it’s been sold recently. 200 horsepower isn’t a lot these days. The price will be what sells it I believe. Not very much information on that website.
200hp on a 17ft boat is pretty nice unless you want to run a 100mph on a boat..so 200hp on this little thing is more than enough..the turbo sxs are just 200 lhp and they will fly..do you race boats professionally or something?
@@JunsworldI was gonna say, ain't no DJI active track that's gonna be that good. All my DJI's would have either smacked those trees and been done, or they would have came to a stop and just froze not knowing what to do. Skydio is king of autonomous drones!
This is much more stable and safer in the turns then a jet ski because of the low CG. What needs to happen is the same thing that happened with one place jet skis. It needs to be two place (at least for now before becoming a tandem 2 by 1 three place) and probably end up with a max hp jet ski engine in order to be a an attraction to the big money people. If this was a side by side or a tandem 2 by 1, and could go 80 mph, people would be standing in line for one.
@@JunsworldI bet an electric version is going to be even faster. People have tried cramming huge gas engines into similar watercraft. With current battery and electric motor technology you could probably get better performance than they can. Plus, it's easier to get batteries down low to keep the CG as low as possible. Have you ever thought about putting speed rails on the bottom of the hull? There was a company back in the 90s that started making them. We put them on a lot of customers boats and it made a noticeable difference. With your PWC it would help with cushioning light chop and make tighter turns. I bet yout could have a custom set 3D printed in no time. I can wait to see the next one! Don't stop innovating!👍
Sorry man. Cool video, but...... It looks like the hull "dives" into the water and drags too much at "high" speeds... Maybe It's too front heavy, or maybe the hull is to sharp towards the rear....... Maybe the drag is the only way to get enough water to the intake grate..? IDK.... Not even my fully loaded 2009 RXT 215 drags that much water..... It "floats" ontop of it, with only the necessary part (the intake grate area) touching the water... My tip: 1. Install a sharper/deeper intake grate......to feed more water to the impeller. 2.
