Maybe it's just me, but isn't it uncomfortable to go to sleep when your door is glass? I mean, I would feel like someone would be looking at me. And I wouldn't feel a privacy since you also live with other people.
That's right! I'd put wallpaper on the glass. But maybe she's got there a bathroom of her own as well, so possibly the corridor in front of her room is her own. So no-one can see her in her room. Because she said she had an apartment in the house. Not only a room.
I love your room. I very much love how you use old pieces that your mom bought you and have given to you. Most people use new items and they've bought themselves. Using piece that you've had for years is very neat and sweet.

just a side note, the little cups on the ends of your mantle are for soft boiled eggs. you put the whole egg in there then crack off the top and eat them out of the shell. very fancy. They are so pretty, it's nice to see someone so young who appreciates beautiful things from the past.
I've seen people put a few battery operated pillar candles in their fireplace and it actually looks really pretty and a nice alternative to the empty fireplace

Awww...I've never seen a sweeter room tour video! your room is so chic!! and it's lovely how your mom keeps reminding you of your "floral" name and how precious it is to her, symbolically surrounding you with the lily of the valley cup prints, designs, etc. That is just adorable. :)))

Wow, I have so much in common with you in how you decorate! I love (and also have) venetian mirrors, mirrored and jeweled frames, and white sheers! I love venetian sconces and if you come across some they would look amazing on each side of your bed on each sde of the mantle or door~think about it. Vintage rocks and mirrored stuff is awesome. I like a combo of victorian and shabby chic for the bedroom. A crystal chandelier gives off phenomenal lighting as well. Beautiful Room!

you should try to find some really pretty antique or silver or mirrored picture frames for those lovely little posters! I saw a picture of pretty pictures in pretty frames hung from pretty ribbons on a wall so girly and nice

My dorm room that I lived in last year was a historical building so I didn't live in your typical college dorm. I had a bay window in my room and it was the best thing ever! When spring came around, there was so much natural lighting in my room and it was perfect. Lol. I love your room; it's so beautiful!

Very pretty...for your fireplace,you can buy a variety of different size candles....battery operated ones so no flames. They can be timed to come on when it gets dark or dusk. A lot of comments about your door..just get a piece of sheer fabric and put those command adhesive hooks, so no damage to the door, to give you privacy and add to the vintage look you have going. Good luck with school.
This is the best room tour I've ever seen, no kidding. Instead of saying "Oh here's my LV purse, there's my Chanel bag....blah blah blah", you showed us your own style and personality in your room. It is is very neat and beautiful, that's exactly how I would want my room to be :) I like how you're such an humble girl and how dedicated you are to your family.
