this was insanely helpful. thank you! ive played maplestory on and off for around a year only playing xenon, though ive invested more time into it recently. i just love the power fantasy of being a robot that can throw out huge lasers and such, and i cant really bring myself to enjoy any other classes as much as i do xenon haha i had no idea about the trick with omega blaster and beam dance. will definitely have to learn how to pull that off!
This is the most up to date, accurate, digestible and overall in-depth Xenon guide I have ever watched in all my years playing ^O^ thankyou so much for putting in so much effort to really teach others about our class. Video guide was really well formatted. I just had an additional note or two for the tips n tricks to add to your amazing guide ^O^ Currently there is another way to pre-charge your Omega Blaster in addition to the node swapping trick: After fully charging, use a transformation potion ^^. Just remember to summon manifest projection again after you right click to cancel the transformation potion because the potion will have cancelled that (I use this method only if I'm outside the boss because it counts as a pot consumption, and I have a permanent pink bean transformation potion lying round from a few PB events ago haha). Important to note however; please make sure after pre-charging your laser to NOT change channels afterwards. If you do this on purpose or accidentally (e.g. grabbing home buff then you get auto cced randomly) you will LOSE that pre-charged laser haha. Particularly important for party bossing when you move around/wait a lot/get distracted, make sure to ONLY pre-charge your omega blaster right before entering the boss to prevent making this mistake XD. Other than that, it may be added that due to the 120 lines of damage a fully max aimed photon ray can deal in 2 seconds, advanced xenons have the added complexity of syncing our burst with the special node fatal strike, so we attempt to release the photon ray as you said in the last 3s or so of our burst buffs but also immediately when fatal strike procs. This is of course due to its 2s of 100% dmg which scales crazily alongside all our other insane burst buffs (same deal goes for our mini burst outside the omega blaster burst -> photon ray + hypogram fusion + last resort + fatal strike syncing). Once again, love the guide, I agree with absolutely everything you have mentioned with regards to progression, funding, bossing, burst and dpm, strengths and weaknesses. You just gained +1 sub from me
the burst part of the video is so well done in terms of laying it out for the viewer, honestly bravo. gonna take some practice but it made what seems complicated, into a fairly simple array of tasks.
tyty! I might make a new video once New Age hits since the addition of our 6th job skill does change our burst setup by a bit, and also cause this video's over a years old and would probably need an update
Noted: the faster pace was deliberate since my previous guide was so incredibly slow. It was also a little hard to gauge the speed since my reading speed is outrageously slow. Might start adding Text2Speech with my commentary in future videos, which in theory may help
More choice for keep blast charging is transform potion at fully charge and right click the icon to cancel the transform. It's really easy for me while using in bossing.
you can get it from the shop NPC in Veritas, which can be accessed in Aquarium. Think you might need to complete the story to get the gold hybrid heart but I'm not entirely sure about that part
