You are welcome. Understanding the meaning of various measurements really helps a sincere Bible reader to make more sense of what the Bible says, such as at 1 Kings 4:22, in which it says: "Solʹo·mon’s food for each day was 30 cor measures of fine flour and 60 cor measures of flour."
So, when a cor measure of 58.1 gallons is multiplied by 30, we can see that Solomon's food of fine flour for each day for the king's household was 1,743 gallons of fine flour, and 3,486 gallons of unrefined flour. That is a lot of flour for each day to turn into a meal for Solomon and all his servants, not to mention "10 fattened cattle, 20 pastured cattle, and 100 sheep, besides some stags, gazelles, roebucks, and fattened cuckoos."(1 Kings 4:23)
Or to realize that the lampstand in the tabernacle that Bezalel was to make, a "talent" of pure gold was to be used, in which this "talent" weighed 1,101 troy ounces, 92 lbs troy, 34.2 kilograms, or about what we say (United States) of about 75 lbs.(Ex 25:39; 37:24)
And to grasp the weight of the socket pedestals of the tabernacle, in which Exodus 38:27 states: "The casting of the socket pedestals of the holy place and the socket pedestals of the curtain amounted to 100 talents; 100 socket pedestals equaled 100 talents, one talent for each socket pedestal", that the combined weight would be about 7,500 lbs.

Most people believe that David picked up 5 stones because he was hesitant to face Goliath, yet he was more than confidant as he actually picked up one stone for each of the giants, incase any of the brother were to attack once Goliath had been slain.

My Holman NKJV Study Bible footnotes say that because of the description of Goliath’s combat gear, it appears that Goliath was around 9 feet 9 inches tall.
It was reported that he was buried under a mound of soil which is still there somewhere. Buried not below ground but covered with soil which is now a small hill. There is a UA-cam video of it floating around somewhere.
Isaac Newton who studied mathematics and specifically the cubit measurement said the sacred cubit was about 25 inches long. Using that measurement these giants were over 11 feet tall. Og King of Bashan's bed was 18 feet long. I think I remember reading in the Bible that the giants also had 6 toes and 6 fingers. Let's just say we disagree . I would believe the "giant found close by " would have been ONE of Many who left fingernail scratch marks on the outside of Noah's Ark . David had the superior weapon. In the hands of a person who has practiced and practiced it can be as deadly as a Saturday night special. Becoming accurate is the hard part. I saw a demo of how accurate and deadly a sling can be. A Man put a wooden shingle on a tree stump. WACK! He cut it in two with a sling. Then his assistant threw the 2 shingle pieces into the air and WACK WACK the man hit the shingles before they hit the ground! You must remember that Shepherds have a lot of time on their hands and the ability to use a sling effectively against predictors could not only protect the Sheep it protected the Shepherd. Too.

David no doubt used the sling against predators in the fields as a shepherd. In David’s stand against Goliath, David had confidence in his skill but even more so in YHVH God who was with him and ensured David’s victory.

There was a huge difference between the tactics of Goliath and David. As a skilled slinger David had already killed large animals like lions and bears. He was a deadly shot with his sling. Slingers can hurl stones with the energy of a bullet. Goliath really had no chance in this encounter. As a melee fighter Goliath was used to getting within arms length of his opponent and crushing them, David simply never got that close to him. Both armies undoubtedly had ranks of slingers it was a well known skilled position within most ancient armies.
While many people consider this an "unfair fight" for the side of Goliath, the truth is it was unfair on the side of David who simply was not an underdog.
