Should the big leaves from the bottom of the root be removed? For the plant to grow bigger? We planted cauliflower this year in the garden, but the max size was as a fist. And some of them separated and became flowers with lots of leaves. Please advice. Thanks!
I just watched this video and it was perfect! It contained all the info I was looking for in a quick and concise manner. Thank you and I will be looking for more garden videos from you! 😊
Thanks for the video. It is really helpful. Am growing cauliflower for the first time and was trying to figure out when to harvest it. Glad I came across your video.
Thanks for the video mate, it was very informative. This is my first season growing cauliflower in Australia. I planted 4 in total and unfortunately I lost both of my white ones. My two purple cauliflowers are growing fantastic. I keep looking at them thinking "is it ready to be picked?" but after watching your video, I think it can wait another 4 to 7 days. I germinated another 8 purple Sicily seeds but now I'm thinking the weather will heat up too much for them to grow properly :( but at least I now know for next season!

Hi2, we have good sunny days here from September to march in these days cauliflower plants grow best here, In home garden best thing you can do to prevent worms is watch out for butterflies, don't let them on your plants by using net, or watch the backside of leaves regularly and look for butterflies eggs, don't let the larva sprout from egg, take out the leave part on which you see eggs, Butterfly eggs are usually yellow color, most dangerous butterfly is commen white butterfly, No butterfly means no eggs No eggs mean no worms
Hello! VERY informative thank you! I have a question; when you cut the plant away from the stalk, do you then dig the stalk/roots out? Could you just pull the whole plant and cut it away from the stalk after? Thank you!
This is my first year in the vegetable garden. I have some cauliflowers growing. If I want seeds for planting next year, can you tell me how to collect the seeds if I let one of my plants go to seed? Thank you for the video. I learned a lot.
Seeds buds will come on them after flowering when they start to dry cut them and keep them for few days when they are fully dry , crush them ,take out the small seeds
14 inch container 1 plant is recommended as you can see plants grow big, more space a plant has bigger size cauliflower will grow on it, for pots bigger than 14 inches you can try 2 plants, but i think 14 inch pot and 1 plant is best combination
Hi..very nice video..plz tell how many days it takes from the appearance of cauliflower head/curd to being fully mature. Mine started with head formation around 16 days back and they are still not very big. Plz reply.
@@HappyPlantsEnglish Thanks for the reply... The cauliflower heads started separating before they could be big enough. So, i had to pick them. I bought good seeds and sown the seeds in season... What could be the problem sir...thanks again.
My cauliflower started to have problem. And it started to separate too soon. I think they were is stress. What can I do to prevent cauliflower going bad?
Cauliflower time from seed to harvest, depends on variety, most open pollinated varieties take 3 months, while hybrid ones can get ready in 75 days, when cauliflower is ready it will give you a week to harvest then it start to overripe,

Sir some things different between the cauliflower and cabbage flowers,? Pleas answer me.
Cabbage is like lettuce. It will stay like a ball till it splits then flowers. Cauliflower that you eat is the flower.
I have watched and I like it.
Nice video...
Thanks

Yes, if it is an open pollinated variety, flowers will come on cauliflower and then seeds will develop in pods
