      Should the big leaves from the bottom of the root be removed? For the plant to grow bigger?
      We planted cauliflower this year in the garden, but the max size was as a fist. And some of them separated and became flowers with lots of leaves.
      Please advice.
      Thanks!

    Thanks for the video mate, it was very informative. This is my first season growing cauliflower in Australia. I planted 4 in total and unfortunately I lost both of my white ones. My two purple cauliflowers are growing fantastic. I keep looking at them thinking "is it ready to be picked?" but after watching your video, I think it can wait another 4 to 7 days.
    I germinated another 8 purple Sicily seeds but now I'm thinking the weather will heat up too much for them to grow properly :( but at least I now know for next season!

    Hi. Your cauliflower looks so healthy. What do you do? But most important, how do you keep the bugs and green worms that eat the leafs away?

    • @HappyPlantsEnglish
      @HappyPlantsEnglish  Рік тому

      Hi2, we have good sunny days here from September to march in these days cauliflower plants grow best here,
      In home garden best thing you can do to prevent worms is watch out for butterflies, don't let them on your plants by using net, or watch the backside of leaves regularly and look for butterflies eggs, don't let the larva sprout from egg, take out the leave part on which you see eggs,
      Butterfly eggs are usually yellow color, most dangerous butterfly is commen white butterfly,
      No butterfly means no eggs
      No eggs mean no worms

    I planted 2 cauliflower plants in a large container. Is that OK?

    • @HappyPlantsEnglish
      @HappyPlantsEnglish  2 роки тому +1

      14 inch container 1 plant is recommended as you can see plants grow big, more space a plant has bigger size cauliflower will grow on it, for pots bigger than 14 inches you can try 2 plants, but i think 14 inch pot and 1 plant is best combination

    Hie,if I may ask when the head start to grow to show up,about how many days or month from cauliflower?

    • @HappyPlantsEnglish
      @HappyPlantsEnglish  4 роки тому +1

      Cauliflower time from seed to harvest, depends on variety, most open pollinated varieties take 3 months, while hybrid ones can get ready in 75 days, when cauliflower is ready it will give you a week to harvest then it start to overripe,
