I thank my grandfather for this, even though he has been gone for almost forty years now and never knew his grandson would grow up to regard some of his possessions as cherished heirlooms. His pens, his chair, his tools and tool chest, even his classical guitar which I just finished playing mere hours ago. I will do videos on some of these things eventually. Thanks for commenting and hanging out at my channel:)
Best imitation of a train whistle by any wind that I have ever heard! Without background music not relaxing but the video has done one thing to me...kept me from watching myself filling and writing with one of me favourite pens!
Probably just the wind. Funny you should say train though. It does sound like a train but the only tracks around this old deserted place are about a half mile alway and havn't been used since the big early-morning accident 75 years ago. Must be the way the wind hits my house. Funny how I only hear it at 1:47AM and only on Thursdays. Anyhow, thanks for watching:)
Oooooooo. What nice pens you have and what a lovely cabinet. I love making lists, sometimes I make them because it's calming to know all my ducks are in a row.
I don't know why, but I don't find ASMR relaxing, I find it annoying. Maybe there's something wrong with me, or maybe it's just not for everybody. Either way, I put it on mute and play music in the background when I come across your vids - love the pens and handwriting!
Not everyone experiences the feeling, but ASMR is a physical feeling...so if you don’t like it just means simply you don’t feel the affects of it. Asmr vids is just saying it can trigger a sensation...it’s not a genre.
@@ekoado3373 I think you're right, but my problem is that I feel very, very bad when I find myself doing something like watching an ASMR video when I could be working, which for me means writing.
Its so hard to pick one of your videos when i want to relax, they are all equally great :) keep up the great work, you really do have a special talent, oh and i like your handwriting :)
Wow.. your videos always have the best visuals... good quality video and content. I'm not even normally interested in these things, but I can't stop watching your videos! (P.S. You may take it for granted, but it's quite a feat when you can inspire mass amounts of people on UA-cam to leave grammatically correct comments. That's when you know they respect you.)
well i think it sounds a bit spooky, but also cool. if it always happens at that time, it kinda gives your house a bit of character. and on a side note, you should do a video on your collection of pens if you haven't already, you did a collection video for your music, your diecast cars, just thought it would make some sense, and thanks for the video i thoroughly enjoyed it : )
Nice video. I really enjoyed watching you write. You seem to know your way around vintage pens and I need some advice. I seem to remember reading a comment on a video where someone was using a Waterman 55, and it said something about not pushing the pen too hard. Now I already know that too much pressure would be certain death for my pen, but I need to know if that might also have referred to not writing with the pen for too long or too much. I'm about to pull the trigger on a Waterman 52 and one of the uses I have in mind for the pen (besides sitting down and writing because I like doing that) is for writing long essays. Are there any drawbacks or dangers to writing 16 to 18 pages with a pen from the 1920's? Any advice would be appreciated.
Hi. The Waterman 55 has a very soft nib. It does not take much pressure to cause the tines of the nib to spread. They are however, designed to spread, especially on a down stroke. The more a nib can spread and still lay down a nice line of ink, the more pleasing handwriting appears, because of the line variation in thickness. This is why it's a much sought after pen. However, you must take care not to "push" down too hard on those downstrokes or you'll end up splaying the tines of the nib. Essentially, they won't spring back into position if you push so hard that you end up bending them. Hope this helps.
Would you believe that the Edison Collier Antique Marble is what I too have been wanting? Great looking pen! More than once I have came so close to ordering it:)
I REALLY wanted to continue watching this video, the beginning was GREAT... But I totally got freaked out by the train noises, and mentioning to dashdog101 saying the tracks haven't been used "since the big early-morning accident 75 years". I'm home alone, I live near a train station, I'm freaking out man. D:
I'm just an humble hot sauce connoisseur here on UA-cam, but we actually share a few hobbies from what I have seen of your videos. I have been thinking about picking up a fountain pen. Any idea where I should start?
This is not a train? I can't believe it! I'm hearing the sound of a train along the video, from minute 6:00 more or less.... It's very creepy!! Hughs from Spain. I love your videos.

Nashvillain thanks!

There isn't anything wrong with you. My own wife finds ASMR annoying:)

Wow, amazing pen collection! Love the sound of the fountain pen.
That's nice but I need to know why the 2s in 1-2-12 are different than all of your other 2s following the first line?
Ihave just noticed that 😅
Really why??

Very nice pen. I also have a Parker Vacumatic, but mine is a 51 and isn't nearly as nice as yours.
Yo dawg, we heard you like video lists, so we put a video list video in your video list so you can list while you video!
I'm just an humble hot sauce connoisseur here on UA-cam, but we actually share a few hobbies from what I have seen of your videos. I have been thinking about picking up a fountain pen. Any idea where I should start?
