It turned out superb & spongy. The most uncomplicated and tastiest recipe ever. This was my first attempt at cake and family loved it. Thanks so much👌👍i used 1/2 tbs baking soda and 1 tbs lemon juice instead of eno and a normal steel tin.

Hey lill chef, I tried this cake today and it came out very well.. I made it in regular cooker and I had to steam it for about 35 minutes, I guess that's because normal stainless steel cooker takes more time to get heated, but no complaints.. It was super easy and I dont like too much sweetness, so this was perfect.. Thank you!

Hey this is the second time I am using a receipe of ur channel...my mother also follow ur channel....nd i tried this cake....but instead of using a steamer i heated up a tawa on the flame for 10 min then slow down the flame nd put a container with cake batter on the tawa for 25-30 min....though the height of the cake wasn't that high but taste was good.

Fact Check : You don't need to add any acids like vinegar or lemon juice to baking powder, because it already has an acid called "cream of tartar" mixed in. You need to add acidic ingredients only if you're using baking *Soda*, and not baking *Powder*. That's why you can use either Eno or baking powder just fine for this recipe. Just make sure you don't add water to the recipe when using Eno, or else it will react & lose its power before baking even begins.

Hey this is the second time I am using a receipe of ur channel...my mother also follow ur channel....nd i tried this cake....but instead of using a steamer i heated up a tawa on the flame for 10 min then slow down the flame nd put a container with cake batter on the tawa for 25-30 min....though the height of the cake wasn't that high but taste was good.

Fact Check : You don't need to add any acids like vinegar or lemon juice to baking powder, because it already has an acid called "cream of tartar" mixed in. You need to add acidic ingredients only if you're using baking *Soda*, and not baking *Powder*.
That's why you can use either Eno or baking powder just fine for this recipe. Just make sure you don't add water to the recipe when using Eno, or else it will react & lose its power before baking even begins.
