Mega Man V on Gameboy deserved an honorable mention. It has original bosses, story and for once Wily is not the final-final boss. Definately a better game than Dr Wily's Revenge.

To be fair, Bass has fin-like things on his helmet.
I imagine in an alternate continuity, where the robots are kids and go to school, bass gets picked on alot, which is the reason why he's and embittered piece.

What's wrong with the Megaman Starforce series? It's not a bad series.
Nothing, it's just underrated, It actually has an incredible amount of depth in it's story and characters, and people unfortunately either write it off as a BN game or criticize it for not actually being a BN game, but rather something else, shame because when you take the time to get into the new mechanics and systems it's a lot of fun, it's lightning fast paced and was a lot more accessible than it's predecessor.
The 3rd game was brilliant.
Megaman Zero is underrated. Fantastic series...
i cant understand how they put megaman 9 and 10 in the list, but dont even mention zero 4, or x8. they also went with megaman bn 2 instead of the even better 3. i wont even talk about how wrongthey were in choosing zx advent instead of the original zx in the HM segment.
I agree to all except the fact that ZX Advent is better than ZX.
I like zero 3,bn 5 and legends 2 better. But that's in my opinion, everyone has their own opinions.

They're either too clueless to be doing a Megaman top 10, or they're trolling.
Probably more likely that they're clueless. Another mistake that they made was saying that Zero was playable in the MMX remake for PSP. He wasn't. It's like the only experience they have with that game is watching a few seconds of gameplay on UA-cam.

Star Force just came out at the wrong time, and kinda became a scapegoat unfortunately, sad because the trilogy is very well made, especially Star Force 3, that game is easily my favorite Mega Man ever alongside Powered-Up and X4, too bad little people played it.

@Thetechoasis Yeah, they fucked his name up in Mega Man 8. He is not named after a fish. His name is a musical reference, as is Treble's. Therefore, it would pronouced like "Base". The people who dubbed it just didn't know what they were doing.

Both versions of "bass" are spelled the exact same, so it is a bit up to interpretation. However, bass as the instrument follows the music naming theme of Rock and Roll.

X8 in my opinion is not as great as people say it is because of the retry chips and the level design. Zero 3 is definitely my favorite in the zero series.
X8's new remaster makes it pretty fucking epic if you ask me. Before Legacy Collection 1&2 last week I have never played X4-8 and now I can say 8 is amazing!

As a die-hard Mega Man Classic fan, I question why Mega Man and Bass is on the list... AND AT 5. It has poor level design, a cheap, unfair difficulty, has the abomination known as Dynamo Man, and just because you can play as Bass doesn't mean it deserves a number 5 spot. Disagree if ya want, but that's just my opinion.
Yeah, that was overkill! Completely agree with you, I was just about to say the same thing. I've beaten it once, though completely legit, no save states and I didn't run out of ammo for any important weapon in King's Fortress.
mrnoodleknight as a hardcore megaman fan as well I think megaman bass is still an amazing game ye it's hard as hell it's the hardest in the classic series it's still worth playing however I suggest playing it om the wiiu Virtual Console so you can use save states

@@fatherpucci1675 Well, it is still unchanged in the MM Legacy collection so it's official. They did change the Nazi salute in the Megaman X collection so they are certainly able to change stuff, but did not change the pronunciation of BASS. So it is officially bass like the fish
@@andree1991 That's a good point, but in the megaman x legacy collection, they leave Zero's swearing in X4 unedited, unlike in Megaman 7 with Bass' swearing. So it could've been a mistake. It also could be due to not wanting to redo an animated cutscene and find new voice actors.

Megaman 8 and Megaman Legends 2 were the only Megaman games that I had when I was a kid. I truly enjoyed those games.

Lord Tepes I do have the age to realize the importance of MM2. I have not played all the MM games (only 1 to 3 and x1 to 4), but despite my age, in my humble opinion I do agree with futuremet91 that x1 is better than 2

MM Zero 3 is my favorite followed by BN3. Zero 2 is up there as well.This video reminded of how much I miss this series. I hope the success of him in Smash prompts some future installment. I personally think we need a completely new series whether it be in the style of the original, zero/zx/x, or even an RPG. I forgot about mighty number 9 but idk how that will fare

Forget the research. Why are these guys making top 10 lists without having played through the games? Half the time you can tell they haven't played the titles they're giving takes on. They get a "reviewer" to come in and read a script another person wrote, and the person who wrote it didn't even play all the games that made the list. Which begs the question, how do they come up with their lists and rankings? 100% they read other online reviews, watch a few UA-cam videos from other channels and off they go making a "top 10". The bigger these channels or gaming sites become, the more credibility they lose. Typically. Too big to bother anymore. Big company now. Genuine gaming opinions and passion go out the window and are replaced by paid reviews, and little tricks and scams to pump out more video content and get more views. I guarantee this video was thrown together in under two days, and that the people doing the ranking have very little experience with Mega Man games, and in all likelihood haven't played 90% of the games in the series. That's credibility for ya.

For me personally the best MegaMan game is MegaMan3. The gameplay, the bosses, the length of the game, the slide, Rush, music and the fact that it was my first MagaMan game, that I played in my childhood :P makes me thing its the best out of all of them :))

x4 should have definitely been higher! It had an awesome twist at the end and had endless replay-ability. It was also the first megaman x game to have the black x armor! I also enjoyed X5, which was Inafune's last game with Megaman, and was supposed to bring about the stories natural end and then progression into the Megaman Zero franchise. It had some faults, such as the count down system and the parts system based on it, but it was a genuinely enjoyable game with memorable enemies.

+Video_MAN despite X4 clearly being the peak of the series, with lazy voice acting being the only thing worth criticizing. X1 wins, cause it was there first.
"Peak of the series" is quite a stretch. I'm not complaining about MMX being at the top, just saying how obvious it is.
I personally loved the Starforce series.
Mega Man 2 was great. But for me Mega Man X is the best. It took all of the great elements from the original series and added new elements and took the substance deeper. I think the X series was the peak of the Mega Man franchise. Here's helplessly hoping to a serious Blue Bomber revival in the next few years.
2 is seriously overrated, the main reason why people "love" that game, is the fact that the metal blade is so overpowered.

I had to have been like 10 when my mom got it for me on sale. That game was my shit.
my personal favorite is megaman zero four. im biased though, because that was the first megaman game i had ever played and its what got me into the series. it has a special place in my heart and although i agree the zero series has ended and there probably shouldnt be any more additions to that series, i still hope for more additions to other megaman series such as zx or x.

My favorite magaman game has to be a bundle of games, all of the battle network games, they were the best to me and got me to love mega man, just a different magaman than other old heads

I think ZXA might be my favorite, but I think I replay X-X3 the most. I also really like BN2-5 (haven't played 6 yet)
