- This video demonstrates how to program a new key for Toyota Yaris 2001-2005.
Pre-requisites:
1. You should have at least one working key.
2. The new key should have a 4C immobilizer chip inside it.
Process Steps:
1. Insert the original key to the ignition switch.
2. Press 5 times the acceleration pedal within 15 seconds.
3. Press 6 times the brake pedal within 20 seconds.
4. Pull out the original key from the ignition switch.
5. Press the acceleration pedal once within 10 seconds.
6. The SECURITY light on the dashboard should blink for one minute, wait for it the turn off.
7. Pull out the key from the ignitino switch and press the brake pedal once within 10 seconds.
Just tried it again and it works 🤝🤝 Thank you brother
top work for the poster now i can see why mine does not work, for those that might be having probs just like me, cos when you have done all the pedal things, you can tell if it will work or not cos when you take original key out then put your new key in the led immobilizer starts flashing again before you have done anything regarding the gas pedal to press once
So what's the conclusion? Why doesn't it work? Bad chip type or delay in between the pedal pressing steps or what? Did you managed to teach your new key anyway?
i am in the uk and going by the autodata details if you have got a yaris 1.0l or 1.3l car from 1999-2006 this should work for you if it does not just like mine i assume its because you have not got the original master key unless someone knows different
I have a 2001 japan built 1.5 T-Sport. I have the original master key. I think maybe I have a problem with the new key's chip type.
according to autodata that is the correct way for a toyota yaris 99-06 1.5 2001-06 with engine code 1NZ-FE
What if it is a 66 chips inside? How will program a Spare key?
What if you dont have the original key?
You need to remove the ECU (which is located under the glove box) and flash you new transponder value on the EEPROM using a dedicated equipment.
Hi where can I find the touch screen please.and what is the name please
do you know the steps for the stick version of this car? Cause this only works for the automatic.
are you sure thats the case cos i thought you have to have the original master key for this way to work, only asking cos this way wont work on mine as its a stick shift, thought the reason being i did not have the original master key
@@braziltoomes1925 I have the original master key my friend. Yes, it doesn’t work.
i have a yaris 2003 1ltr manual i am in uk and after looking at the auto data details it says this is the way to do it for a yaris 1ltr and 1.3 ltr 1999-2006 does not work for me so i am assuming i have not got the master key,1 other way to do it is first press brake and gas pedal at same time then release them both, then put original key in and then try this way good luck
Thank you for this great video.
Could you give me the link to the key you bought on Aliexpress please?

@@bmelad Thanks a lot.
Thanks!
Does this work for Toyota corolla 2003
Does this only work with a brand new "blank key" or, if I purchase a used key, will the car learn the used key's transponder chip just like in your video? I want to make up for a remote key fob for my Yaris because the original is lost and if I can purchase a used remote key fob, it will have a transponder chip inside already. Thanks for your response!
As long as your chip is suitable for that car it should work (In this specific vehicle the type is 4C).
@@bmelad Thank you! My car is a 2001 T-Sport Yaris (Japan built). I'm trying to find a Japan TOKAI RIKA MDL B01SA key (on purouse of the central lock electronics too), but it's a bit difficult. Altough you you gave me hope now :-). Thank you for yuor response!
Loved the video! I see you have some good Aliexpress links for the Yaris mk1. Do you have any link to an aliexpress link for all the things that you can do to this car? When I search "Toyota Yaris" I always get useless products
For better sound & reversing experience you might upgrade your multimedia system and install a rear-view camera.
If you want to tweak the external appearance you can get a body kit and change your headlights to angel eyes style.
There are also arm rests fitted to that model for more comfortability while driving.
@@bmelad are there pre made led headlights? (not just led bulb) or I can make it just by buying an angel eye led bulb and spraying the inside of the headlight black?

@@bmelad Thank you
@@bmelad what about if original key doesn’t work what do I do
Does anyone know how the upper panel with the on-board computer works with a non-factory radio? Does the volume knob work? The display shows information from the radio?
The display shows the time & temperature, not the radio station.
This original volume knob is not working, but you might order a steering-wheel-controls set like this: s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_Dk8U8Ft and get a better experience.
Hey! Where did you buy the frame for the double din radio? :)

can i buy new key less romote with new module
If your car is not originally equipped with a remote - you can easily install an aftermarket keyless entry system.
Does this programme the remote central locking?
No.
the later model (2006-2011) i cannot see a security LED. How do you do it with this model?
try this way - enter the car close door after 10 seconds enter an already key into ignition - the security light should now be off - remove and insert the already programmed key 4 times within 10 seconds into ignition - then open and close drivers door 6 times within 20 secs - then remove the already registered key - then within 10 secs insert key to be programmed - leave key in for 60 secs the security light will start flashing after 60 secs the light will stop flashing - your new key has now been programmed
security light you say...... @@braziltoomes1925
Is it possible to do it without having any key at all? Lost mine.
Unfortunately not, if you lost all your keys you need to reprogram you eeprom chip inside the ECU with a professional equipment.
I need to try on 2001 g Corolla single button remote , it doesn’t work kindly guide me please
What type of transponder chip do you have in your original key?
@bmelad, my key fob dead will this stuff work how u did this in the video to get the key fob working with the new key ?
@bmelad how do I program key fob please
Only 4c original chip .or super chip work or not
Yes, VVDI super chip will do the job for you - don't forget to generate it as a 4C one.
Thanks you sir
What if.. if the original key missing.. how we gonna reprogram
In this case you'll need to program your new key directly to the EEPROM chip inside the ECU which is located under your glove box, this operation requires professional equipment.
@@bmeladWhat if the key contains a 66 chip instead of a 4C Chip with all keys lost, will the same procedure work?
@@babatundebolaji4553
I've never saw a 66 transponder chip in this car (ID66 transponder chips used mostly in Suzuki vehicles), but you are welcome to try and let us know if it worked for you.
Is this for European or us ?
European
Thanks I have 2005
I and trying to reprogram the new key and unable to get this any idea please
