“It’s written in the stars” then it pans to Rachel’s smile turning into a small sudden reaction I think was a recall to Finn. Finn did say “When you look up, I’ll always be looking down” On top of that the two people singing were literally some of Finns closest friends, it was a small moment but man it spoke volumes
I'm with Santana here, I too really like this pairing. It seems like Puck and Quinn have always been soulmates, because they're very alike if you think of it. Both can be really difficult and unpleasant people at first glance, but underneath all that, they are both strong-willed individuals who are ready to go out of their way, to do whatever it takes to get what they want and to be there for the person they really care about.

The amazing thing about this peformance to me is the fact that this is literally the only instance where a song written for a tenor and mezzo-soprano is rearranged to fit a baritone and an alto YET remains as good as the original in its delivery because of the very clever alterations. Glee song directors and mixers are something else I swear

yeah. not to mention that the softness they added in this version (mostly because of dianna’s also very soft voice) matches perfectly with the plot that's going on. it's not meant to be an angsty break up song, but a “we're getting back together" song and it's amazing on its own
