My A1C use to stay between 8-9 and now it stays from 4,8-5.1 and all I did was take 2 Tablespoons of Apple Cider Vinegar with (Mothers) in about 8 ounces of distilled water every morning and the Doctor tried to put me on Metformin,But the ACV has done the job for over 8 yrs now
My father was diagnosed as Type II in his mid-fifties. In his mid-sixties they first removed his big toe, then half his foot, then his entire foot, then his leg from just above the knee. He died before 70. Yet, for most of his life he was quite fit.
I was never full blown diabetic but I reversed my borderline diabetes twice by changing my diet.. Apples, salads, lemon water, oatmeal, blueberries and whole food.. I am now at a comfortable 5.1 a1c

Diabetics don't need to lose their vision, kidney function or their legs. I've been a Type 1 diabetic for well over 50 years. I was diagnosed back in 1968. I've had some great doctors and I have devoted a lot of time and energy learning about the disease and controlling my blood glucose levels using a combination of insulin and diet. And, guess what? I still have my vision, kidney function and my legs. It takes a lot of time and effort but if you manage the disease you can live into your late 70s like me. Good luck.
Yay! Glad to see this. Have you heard of the Glucose Goddess? She goes a step further and suggests to eat the fibrous veggies first, then the protein and fat, and then the carb/sugar last, and that will prevent insulin spikes. Apparently there are studies of people eating exactly the same foods but one group eating in that order and the other group eating however they want, and the ones eating the veggies first and carbs last have the least insulin spikes. The fibrous veggies sort of create a layer that buffers the sugars from entering the system too fast. (My layperson description😅) Like you, she also says to have protein or fiber with the carbs (if you can't separate them), or do a little mini salad first. And another trick is to mix 1T apple cider vinegar into a glass of water 20 minutes before the meal... I forget what the action of the ACV is, but anyway... When I heard this concept, it made so much sense to me because for years, I've had a problem where I get what I call a carb/ adrenaline rush if I have certain carbs on an empty stomach. It often snowballed into an anxiety attack, which sucks. My A1C is creeping up so I need to keep up these habits and exercise more, and work on my sweet tooth. Thanks for the great tips, doc!
Thanks for all the information, Dr. Adam. I really appreciate all the time you put into these videos. I really listen when you are talking. Healthy blood sugar is really important. Again, thanks for everything you do.
This is what most doctors did years ago. Perhaps having too many patients leads to more prescriptions. I would rather deal with certain health issues minus medication. Watched my mom get three meds for her asthma followed by several inhalers. After being on the asthma meds she had to take another med. Another doctor put her on two BP meds, but then had to put her on potassium because of f
I was always at 7.+ . I got tired of it and the doctor not doing anything. Them hospital diabetes education was all about the American Diabetes Association diet. I did my own research and testing and I went on a carnivore diet and limited myself to 20grams of carbs per meal. The hospital diet had me on 72 grams per meal. As a result I dropped my A1C to 5.2 all vitals including cholesterol were in the green. Currently I am a mix of low carb veggies and meats and maintaining my levels. Never felt better. I also found that a protein shake would cause a reverse spike and maintain my low levels in the event I ate something Iwas not aware would spike me while out with friends.
Thank you. Both my brother and I diagnosed type2. We both say we figure stuff ourselves. No idea about how to pricking finger. What to eat not. So many different meds. Now my dr now says I want you to see endocrinologist . I guess i asked too many questions. I lost 30lbs due to covid. Prior my a1c was 12. Now I am at 8. Still working to go lower. I am 60. Got diagnosed about 10 years ago.
My story so far. Over three months into the carnivore diet with daily intermittent fasting, and the results are life-changing! Here are my numbers: * Weight: Down 30 pounds * Blood Pressure: Improved from 139/90 to 117/73 * Fasting Glucose Levels: Dropped from 123 mg/dL to 79-86 mg/dL on average. * Ketones: Now at 2.7 mmol/L * GKI (Glucose Ketone Index): 1.7 This combination has truly transformed my health and my life!
Thank you for sharing those two real life stories, I hope your current patient gets his blood sugar levels under control with change in diet and some regular exercise.
I’m going to do myself a test. My next annual is in 3 mos, which is about the time I believe it would take to adjust your A1C. I am sitting at about the same number as this video. I believe last year my doctor said I was at 6.0 and he ” wasn’t worried about this number”. Thank you for sharing. I am now on a mission and will get back to this video in about 3 mos.
@ approximately 3 months, I got the diagnosis and 3 months later on my next appointment everything was normal, including my blood pressure, and it’s been that way for the last 4 years.
I'm not a doc, don't have any in our family, but was glad you did go to bat for them and what they/y'all are up against, too. Where I am (rural TX), people are great but so oftentimes they just don't want to change whatever they're doing. I'm struggling with not wanting to change some things I do! 🤣 (I will though.) SO GLAD to hear this. Not one of my problems YET, but hey. Better start now. THANK YOU.
I was strict keto for 5 years before it was a fad. As a result I developed slightly high fasting glucose. Low testosterone and my competitive running suffered. I looked like I lived in a concentration camp. I changed to 250 grams of healthy carbs. 200 grams of protein and 30 grams of fat. Very low sat fat. After going to higher carbs everything improved greatly. And I now enjoy food again.
Allulose is a great alternative to sugar. Allulose actually helps control blood sugar when you drink it in water, especially when you first wake up due to the dawn effect. I use it every day in water especially before a meal. It is not meant to be used in place of medication, but it does help control my blood sugar. By the way my fasting glucose most of the time isn't in the 77 to 99 range. My fasting glucose can range between 99 and 118 but my A1C is perfect. Other good tests to have taken are fasting insulin and C- peptide. Better markers than fasting glucose or A1C. John in Ohio
Even my naturopathic dr at 1 time suggested I go in Metformin- I declined - N said also can affect your kidneys as well as not drinking enough water with electrolytes, thank you for this information!!
Thank you Dr. Story! I learned many years ago, as a young child, from my grandfather the importance of taking a nice walk after meals Even just 10 to 15 minutes... small things add up! 😊
Excellent explanation Doc!!! Sick care is horrible!!!! Thank you so much ❤ You are amazing and helping so many people !! Honey, throw away the Snickers 😂😂😂
First thing would be to find out why it's blocked, could be an infection, allergies, or swimmer's ear, there are natural topical antibiotics you could try if it is an infection, but if it is recurring you really should see a specialist.

I disagree. Diabetes is caused by long term consumption of wheat. Stay away from bread even if its wholemeal bread. The gluten and gliadin in wheat slowly destroys the beta cells in your pancreas over time to cause diabetes. I have been a Type 2 diabetic for the past 27 years and all of the 7 siblings including my parents became diabetic as they were consuming the Indian Chapatti bread made from wheat. Besides sugar, wheat is one of the worst foods to put in your mouth. The problem is that the wheat plant has been hybridized. The original wheat plant has 4 grams of gluten but the hybridized one has 20 grams of gluten. Its a joke that the scientist who hybridized wheat was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. Bread also causes one to lose teeth. There are 5 types of fungus in wheat with the black fungus being deadly and daily consumption of wheat even causes the sickness schizophrenia. A diabetic who has lost a leg and still consumes bread will lose the other leg and may have to undergo kidney dialysis, become blind and be bound to the wheelchair for the rest of his life. Stay away from a high carbohydrate diet, rice, sugar and exercise daily to be healthy. I am surviving on a 80% carnivore and 20% food from lentils, nuts and seeds which have been soaked overnight to remove the phytic acid and pressure cooked. A diabetic must avoid fruits as the sugar fructose in fruits will cause affect the mitochondria and cause inflammation in the body.
