it's a good sentiment! your point of view, however, is not applicable. words do matter, especially in the sanskrit language, and even more specifically in the context of the vedas and everything else they entail. the universe does not and cannot sense our thoughts as much as it can sense the energy from the words we chant, which is why using the right words is important. it is the right way to get the attention of the universal pervasive force.

Peace belongs to everyone- and I feel although I don't share that same house of worship that Jesus and other learning figures would have loved to have listened and met the hearts of others... some folks say listening to other cultures, while keeping our own, allows us to be like that- and engaging in music is a language that speaks peace for itself. I think you are right on track from what I remember.
