Congrats on the 1 year of UA-cam!!! It's a slow roll building a UA-cam channel and persistence is key! Also goodonya for starting a new business. It takes a lot of guts to just jump into a new business, but after running one for the last 20 years I can tell you it is so worth it.
Totally agree with you on the Black Hills. That place is just amazing. There are so many things to do in the area and it's just beautiful. If you are going to stay on the East Coast for the summer can we suggest taking a run up to Maine? We fell in love with that place last summer. Then on your way back west hit the Finger Lakes region of New York. That place is magical as well.
Our advice for full timing is to remember wherever you are, you can always come back! So don't exhaust yourself trying to see everything.
Only question we have is... When are we gonna meet up on the road for beer!!!
Thanks.. UA-cam definitely has been interesting to say the least. At this point we are just doing what we enjoy and hope to meet like minded people along the way 😊
Starting the business has definitely been stressful and at times making us question what we are doing but in the end we want to travel, see new places, meet new people and if we can help people along the way then it's worth the stress.
We have talked about hitting Maine this year, we have been there before (our son went to college there) but haven't had a chance to really explore yet. The finger lakes are also on the radar this year but it really will depend on how much Gate Guarding we will pick up in Texas.
But like you said we can always visit these places so if we don't make it this year we will eventually 😊
I know that is our biggest question as well... We definitely are looking forward to meeting up with you guys... But until then cheers 🍻
@@thisisouradventure You have 100% the right attitude on the YouTune thing. You can drive yourself crazy trying to chase the algorithm! Honestly we have changed this, changed that, and no matter what we do we seem to grow at the same pace as we always do. Produce what you like producing and those that like it will gravitate to it, like we did.

@@thisisouradventure We are retired Army and are currently in the 1st phase of our downsizing ( selling the Florida winter home first) and then getting our Michigan home ready to see this summer. We’re also contemplating starting to record our downsizing and using youtube to vlog and record our adventures ( still trying to come up with a catchy name lol). Have you always used the go pro 11, or have you tried different equipment? Thanks again!
@@Jim-f5u we have only used the GoPro 11 and our phones. We have found between those cameras we can get most of the video shots we need. Good luck on your downsizing safe travels.
Great video, You should try to incorporate BoonDocker's welcome. Save you a lot of money traveling. I'm sure you as a RV tech your business will grow. maybe record some jobs and post them on this channel also. Thanks Don

Are you being affected by the recent law changes in SD, like are you still able to vote, etc? Any issues with that fact you’re still working like Our Road Less Traveled experienced?
We don't vote for anything local because we don't want to affect the locals that do live there full time. As for the issue that they had, it really doesn't affect us as our business is established in South Dakota . Now if that changes then obviously we will have to reevaluate our situation.

A house or a RV it's the same to me just its hard to find parts on the road ' we were at tt Orlando my wife got free delivery from Walmart the delivery driver did not know English so she takes are food too there post-office and it costs me $ 5.00 to get it. 🤬
It can definitely be frustrating getting deliveries and TT is the worst. We will try to do Amazon lockers if we can help it and pick up from stores.

Gate guarding isn’t that attractive after you figure in the pay per hour and also being paid as 1099 you have to withhold all your taxes.
We are looking at it as an experience and extra $ to put back in our savings so we aren't looking to get rich by doing it. As for 1099 it is no different than putting back our taxes since we own our business.
