I usually say people who disagree with me just have a different opinion and/or point of view and that's okay. But I'm gonna put in question the taste of that person who says Horizons is a 0/10 and poorly written. Horizons' writing is great. Not perfect, but still great. Next they're gonna tell us Journeys was flawless and perfect.
lol yea idk if they were trolling or not the but the plot is 100x better than Journeys
@@UmbreonxUmbreon Agreed. Also the characters. There's so much missed potential with Chloe, and Ash is good character... but not in Journeys. He was so poorly written I found him annoying.
I question the decision of letting THIS be his last season and never have him meeting Nemona. I'm not the biggest Ash fan but even I can see that this is a huge missed opportunity.
But oh well we have a great introverted protagonist which I appreciate more since she's relatable.

@@coldshock5181 Yeah they even made him regress in Journeys. Like, he keeps trying to touch wild Pokémon, and every time they attack him. They're wild Pokémon, a trainer of his level should know not to do that, it's pretty basic knowledge.
It's simply way above the series with Ash that was gioing nowhere most of the time.
Everytime im talking about how good pokemon horizons was (not perfect but still good) i got attacked by those toxics ash worshipper, and when im countering them they start play victim saying that we are not pokemon anime fans, like seriously they claim to be poke anime fans but skip episode without ash in it (i watch all pokemon anime with or without ash)
Bad animation? Even if horizons had same animation quality as XYZ (the fact they have action director who work for XYZ to work on Horizons) they will not accept it
Also pokemon horizons have reached 44 episode and its balanced, Cap is not always save the day which people always complain about (if it was ash pikachu they not gonna complain because of Nostalgia)
Hopefully the Ash worship fades as time goes on, it’s just annoying atp, bad animation? 😭 it’s on par if not better than XYZ so I don’t get that one but yea it’s good to see Cap not coming in saving the day so much and letting Liko and Roy handle things

Just because they got lot of money that doesnt mean its infinite, also working on animation studio is not easy as its look
Also dont forget about how ash losing kalos league and release his greninja, the toxic level is soooo high
In my experience, people don't differentiate between animation and art style 🙄
@@spinotikus1518 art style is for the character design, while animation style is how they animated like CGI animation Style or Hand Draw, Frame to frame animation style and Sprite Animation Style
HZ'S writing is so good!! Ofc not perfect but its really good, well thought-out and lore/story heavy. What people expect from the pokemon animes is action action action. They don't expect lore to be heavy. Pokemon animes are usually pretty simplistic with them all following some sort of structure. This anime is very different in that regard, so people don't want it. Also, the Ash stuff.
I just didn’t expect ppl to be so, No Battles? No Ash? I’m Out… but their loss Horizons is amazing
New protagonist was long overdue. The writers clearly had no idea what to do with his character after Sinnoh ended.
to be honest i think the should of replaced ash after diamond and pearl i think black and white was good i just don't think ash was a good part of it but thats just me

They should do that since SM enspecially with the change of their artstyle animation

Horizons is statistically doing better than the last 3 generations lmao, these people lost their minds.
Pokemon horizons is if not one of the best pokemon animes out there. It's a breath of fresh air from ash and pikachu, pokemon is all about exploring the lands and discovering new things, and that is exactly what horizons nails perfectly. It gives you that feeling of adventure that ash didnt had. The writing is phenomenal, they give side characters enough screen time to be evolved in the story.
Its in the top 10 most wanted tv series per week in japan.

I know it’s not in any of the tweets mentioned here, but if I could bring another one to the table. I’ve unironically seen people straight up say Liko is a Mary Sue for owning the MacGuffin Pendant(Yugioh protags around the world are quivering), and NEVER SHUTTING UP(Legit Spamming the same two messages and the same two gifs for almost a whole year) about a single take, that Roy Has to fight Nemona and Geeta. The Ash Copium is so strong, they tryna mold Roy into little more than a Bootleg Ash
(Also, “He got one of the best Sendoffs in anime” Agree to Disagree. I Hate MPM with every ounce of my fiber, and will stand by that opinion till the day I die)
I've seen those Mary Sue tweets from a known troll in the community so I don't take those seriously. With the new arc just announced I could see him taking on Nemona and Geeta tho but I don't like the “molding” of anybody those ppl should seek help. What's MPM btw?
He did though. Only argument I've ever seen is people hating that Ash isn't a s41f-ins4rt character and didn't blow up the planet at the end of the series lol

I just started when the dub came to Netflix and am now binging the sub online. Imo its been better than Journeys, aside from the Masters 8. Horizons is probably the most plot-focused Pokemon has been since the XYZ. Overall, I say Horizons has better plot, but Journeys had better battles. The only reason why I didn't watch Horizons earlier is because is simply wasn't as accessible as previous seasons. I kinda stepped back and waited for there to be a decent amount of episodes before catching up. No regrets on that decision

I will just say that until the end, Masters 8 was not good in my opinion. The Alain and Diantha fights were so poorly executed just so they could elevate Leon. They can’t do my boy Alain like this

Horizon only has 12 episodes on netflix so far. Its going to take time for people to break the Ash nostalgia. We need more amazing make me want to watch like the black rayquaza.

The problem is that the fad for Pokemon passed over 20 years ago and those fans that the show kept over that time, fell off slowly as time went on, newer fans picked up the show but it was never going to be as big as its hayday and then they ended the show when they retired Ash and decided to go on a new direction which is gonna cause even more fans to drop off with even less new fans picking it up.
They're not able to recreate the same hype that existed around this product 20-25 years ago, so they need to rely on good storytelling and unfortunately, theres only so much good storytelling you can do on a show aimed at under 18 year olds.
I love this take, the fall off is def bigger than ever now, and the younger crowd from what I’ve seen do appreciate the writing surprisingly. I figure if they can get that target audience now(with solid plot and character development) the nostalgia is gonna be crazy down the line looking back on the Liko/Roy era but we’ll see
Horizons isn't going to flop, all those people who say horizons is trash are just as brain dead as ash was in the beginning of the anime

I kinda fell off pokemon anime during x&y because ash was too big of a dumbass ater i actually played the games and learned how types work.

One reason why I won't be watching horizons is because of when I was watching Ash Ketchum.
I was sort of growing up with him and since hes gone, there's no need for me to watch the anime no more.

My opinion is that they replaced Ash, just for the sake of replacing him with a HER. And with femenists sprawlin around on 2024 and beyond(not a vad thing), it makes sense to appeal to them more.
Also I think this anime is geared more for girls than to boys.
There's truth in that, but i think it was more of creating a character that was the polar opposite because anything remotelty close to Ash would be too comparable. So a female was the natural and best option(IMO) to go.

@@justinelim1719 Not a valid reason to hate on liko, she's a fantastic character, she is insecure, she has problems, she embraces her problems but also looks for a way to solve it, she tries her best to understand and discover everything at her own pace.
She's a way better character than ash was with just ''oh there is a gym let me battle you'' now that i look back, ash is a selfish bastard that barely does anything else than train- battle-win--train-battle-win.
