its not over powered at all.... its a single shot gun that has to reload after every bullet.... its only useful in the hands of a beast
maybe, I've got over 3000 kills with it on console and I personally think the aim assist on console with it should be toned back a bit, with snipers generally really, regardless extremely powerful for me
Well scoped snipers on console feel a lot like if you were playing on pc because i think theres no aim assis
I have the most kills with this gun than anything else in bf1 and once I got the hang of it I felt like an utter fucking god. Haha

The martini henry is the only gun in any FPS game that works for me like this. This is literally the ONLY Stodeh video where i feel i actually play like this in the right server. Good shooting, i loved the first clip!

Ravic's bf4 gameplay is the best though. He gets in the middle of all the chaos in the world and still comes out on top in some miraculous way, and his response is usually something like "huh." Not as good of a sniper as stodeh I would say, but overall about the most aware and generally skilled player I've ever seen.

What's the science/strategy behind flicking away from your target after shooting? Is it a PC thing? Also if I had to guess with my limited knowledge I would say that you do that so you don't lose your target, since you've already acquired your target and fired you don't want to have to follow your target more than you have to

Breath FPS games in general are easier on PC with mouse and keyboard, but you need to actually get used to it, takes some practice.
Easier isn't the word I'd use, but you certainly have more control over your aim and movement.

Does supression work when using the martini? I find that even if a support player starts shooting at from range(60m away) i am still able to land my first shot

you wanna talk of over powered weapons the hellrisgal 60 round mag with little to no recoil.
The martini henry "fix", nerf or whatever makes me really sad. Today it's really the headshot that will get you the ohk. Hitting the exact spot in the chest while the dude is running is whatnot impossible with iron sights.
I really think the should patch platforms differently. I don't know how the martini was on pc, but on xbox it was fine. They could've just toned down the aim assist for those who still use it instead of completly change the way martini works. /Butthurt ex-martini lover
Addressing the Martini nerf:
The martini 1 hit killed on ANY part of the body before the patch in sweet spot range. That was overpowered.
After the nerf, you rarely hit a 1 shot even on the upper torso (because the arms hitbox block the chest a lot of the time).
I believe it should be a 1 shot kill to the upper torso AND the arms to make it balanced.

I feel like it's balanced... i do fine with every sniper rifle but the martini. The thing is so incredibly slow in bullet velocity and fire rate. It also has terrible sights.

No Name I would be so fucking pissed, it's the best PTFO sniper weapon and is in no way OP, single shot with a 2+ second reload and a 440m/s velocity. (Half of the Gewher 98) It hits for the lowest damage past that point (70) of all scout rifles. People who complain about the Henry being OP are about as dumb as the people who say the 10a hunter isn't overpowered because it's "realistic."

It's an excellent sidearm to the Kolibri.
I also love running with iron sights with the scout class a lot more than with scopes. it's much more satisfying. This gun is not over powered how others might say. It has a lot of disadvantages. I found that running with the infantry variant of the SMLE can be a little more effective.

Sure, a single .450 or .577 round should knock the hell out of you. But I think its too accurate in the game, which is far from reality. Those rounds where not that accurate. The devs should work with this subject soon. Its crazy OP.

Jack ripper Yep, I know that feeling. I'm not a bad scout player in the game and due to the sweet spots I like the Martini and SMLE the most. But I ended up almost not using the Martini at all because my aim with these iron sights is incredible bad. It might sound like crying but I'm sure that the hitreg of iron sights is less precise than the scope hitreg, since I sometimes failed shots that should have hit. I just hope they release a gun with similar stats and a scope or simply a scope version of the Martini in a DLC.

Stodeh you can lock the frames to 144 with rivatuner statistics server very easily if you usually get around 144 fps. this will make the experience alot smoother since it won't jump from 144 to 200 which can seem nice but will actually feel bad on the screen. Awesome clips as usual!

dude i got so call of duty'd yesterday lol. I died trying to cap the objective, my teammates took out the guy on the flag and there was no enemies around. Because they take so much time to reload one charcoal round, that before they fire again, they're sprayed in the face to let them know I took it personal.
i play scout and i mostly snipe standing up and swaying from left to right, i love countersniping the snipers who lay down. It really helped me get my order of the sniper medal yesterday when i needed a bunch of headshots

What makes me mad. It's not even a sniper gun. Artillery used it. When the bad guys got close. It shot 1 big round, wasn't very accurate.. it's going to get nerfed. Everybody's grandmother uses it and it's getting old. I have it also. Don't use it at all. It's is OP. I enjoy the hard guns trying to get good with them
Idk why they nerfed it, had to use iron sites, 1 shot per reload, it took skill to use it, if anything nerf reload speed. Now its boring since it doesnt 1 shot arms but some rifles do.

Stod's sensitivity is the default windows sensitivity with 800 DPI, and 7% ingame :D

love the vids, but after playing PC for 10 years, now strictly console gaming for 2 yrs, this just doesn't seem that impressive anymore.
The COD kids are funny. If a weapon does what it did in the war/blow stuff up and kill people, it's OP. If it's OP, why is it when I shot you 10 meters you still have 10% health? Because they already nerfed it thanks to COD cry babies. MF, SOB, FM.
I laugh every time someone complains about how OP the henry is.......um people pretty sure if you were to shoot someone in real life with a sniper...OR ANY GUN OF THAT MATTER you could kill them with one shot. Some people are just fuckin stupid.

I think this gun's balance is near-perfect at the moment. Yes, you do have a very large sweet spot range for one shot kills, but at ranges closer than ~ 40m and farther than ~ 80m, this gun is practically useless, and every other scout gun (except the M1903 Experimental) will be at least as good, if not better in those circumstances. Also, the rate of fire is absolutely abysmal, you only get one shot at a time, the time it takes to re-chamber a round is fairly long, you only have access to iron sights, you don't get a bipod, and refilling ammo for this gun by standing near an ammo box takes forever, you literally refill one round at a time. I think all those trade-offs and weaknesses balance the gun out well enough, and I really hope DICE doesn't nerf this gun into oblivion.
