    Not to be the safety Sally but as someone who lives in a full body harness for work, hooking the line into the hip rings is going to mess you up way worse if you do actually fall. D-ring by the shoulder blades is the preferred standard.

    3 wood work, metal work & automotive! Lunch was12:00-12:30 then shop till 3:30 ! We made our own jack stands, 3 brass hammers and all kinds of things! Our teachers were great because they offered after school classes till 5:30 every school day & Saturdays for extra credits you came in and did an 8 hour day! Christmas break, spring break and summer break they were there 8 hours a day!They were dedicated to making sure we would be ready for the reality of the world!

    For an east coast JKU rock crawler what would you say is the best axle width for 40s to 43s. Fusion does 70 and 72" or custom to what ever you want.

    • @gearheadfabworks
      @gearheadfabworks 2 місяці тому

      I'd recommend 72" 💯. A lot of people have really found the 05+ super duty width to be a good size. That's exactly how I setup my racecar and how I built my custom Fab9 axles. From Michigan, btw🤘

    • @bleepinjeep
      @bleepinjeep  2 місяці тому +3

      Well, wider is great especially with rear steer and it offers stability. but it can mess you up at the same time when going through narrow V notches and tight trees. So either way has its pros and cons. Don't forget wheel offset makes a difference too.

    • @gearheadfabworks
      @gearheadfabworks 2 місяці тому

      @@bleepinjeep I'd agree that wheel offset makes a difference. What I would add to my preference is having a relatively high backspacing to keep wheels tight to axles and wider axles to keep a good width. Helps a ton with on and offroad characteristics, due to scrub radius reduction and less environmental input to steering.

    • @nicholassbardella6045

      @@gearheadfabworksif it’s a rock crawler tho the scrub radius helps you climb better. You don’t want it too tucked in

    • @gearheadfabworks
      @gearheadfabworks 2 місяці тому

      @@nicholassbardella6045 certainly a give and take. For a tube chassis crawler that is doing highly technical trails, that's a conversation worth having. A JKU, doesn't usually scream pure rock crawler. Most drivers would need a couple years of practice to understand how to use larger scrub radius to their advantage.

    Why are all the videos now having music that is 4 times the volume as the speaking volume. These videos make you jump to turn the volume up and down just so we can hear the speaking portions. Do better when editing to make the volume of the music the same so there isn't a massive jump in volume. It really kills us who are limited on volume when trying to view and support these channels.
