- In this video, I am going to make glycerin soap by using only four ingredients. I have used hot process for the making a soap. By using this soap base, you can make different types of organic soap by using natural ingredients at your home.
What we needed?
Distilled water - 100 ml
Caustic soda/lye - 10 g
Coconut oil - 50 mL
Glycerin - 5 mL
Convert grams of oil into milliliter through dividing it by density of that oil.
milliliter of oil = grams of oil / density of oil

If ur using coconut oil their is a specific soapnification value i.e 100gm of coconut oil *0.183=18.3gms of lye should b used

Yes, you can but you should have experience to make it at less quantity.

@@rowdydoll You better test the PH of this soap. Someone else made it and it had a PH of 12 which can be dangerous to use on your skin. It should be no higher than 7. It's never tested in this video.

What is lye
I made it just like her using sunflower oil. It didn't hold together. Separated and ph is super alkaline at 12ph. I think it needs to be blended. Will try again

I would suggest try it with small scale and then go for the 1 kg.

yes, 30 to 35 days.
Your method is wrong.
Lye solution is very weak, supposed to be 30% caustic soda and 70% water
Most important thing is don't cook it in direct fire.

I want to tell you honestly that I have tried this method so many times. I want to suggest you that don't take 100 ml of water because it might be the reason for the soap to be liquified at room temperature.
Also, when you were heating oil and lye solution, they will make extra foams than the showed in the video. Please be careful because this is also a trial-and-error method for me too.
Ye without caustic soda k nahi ban sakta .caustic to khatarnak hota hai skin k liye. Pears wale without caustic k soap kaise banate hai
Yes, caustic soda is harmful for the skin but when it combine with the oil then it changes it's composition and then it is not at all harmful for the skin. Only thing you need to care is that you have to use proper proportion of caustic soda and oil. And without caustic soda any soaps can't be made, so it is a necessary component of the soap making process.
Pears is a syndet bar (synthetic). They add other chemicals to make it. You can't make natural soap without Caustic Soda.

The 5ml/ 1 tablespoon is throwing me off. 5ml is 1tsp. 15ml is one tablespoon. Looks like you're using a tablespoon so I guess its 15ml

Amount of water. If it is remaining liquid then decrease the amount of water in the initial ingrediencies. Also, temperature maintenance matters through out whole making process. @@drrpparmar
