- This GoPro Hero 4 Black went down inside a gimbal and between the legs of a quadcopter, yet it managed to take extensive damage. To restore functionality I reconnect a small flat flex cable connector to the main board.

OMG, i made a same soldering to the GoPro 4 Black board 1 year ago. I did not manage to do that 100% well, so MIC is not working, but buttons is ok...
Now, i can do the mic working, coz i found your video and a picture of trace that i ripped off..

Thanks for the video! i repaired my gopro4. Additionally, to replace the motherboard, you do not have to remove the LCD screen.

I Have a Provlem with my GoPro as well.
I think it has somehow been overcharged by my powerbank,
thus it won't turn on anymore.
Tried everything on the internet:
Leave out battery, cross checked battery (OK), multiple button combinations to reset,
plug into PC.
Nothing works, do you have an idea if there is some kind of fuse somewhere on the board?
