the funniest thing in this route is the fact that nicole was weirded out by the fact emily complimented her even not wanting to have sex with her, but in the end she did want to have sex with her as we see in the message after the ending

It could be referencing this conversation (even though it doesnt seem like theyre in a hallway during that, if this is mentioning another conversation i dont remember lmk) - She also says "idk if thats rape or whatever but if it is sorry lol" in the context of changing in front of each other (if she didnt see her in a sexual way it doesn't make sense to not be sure if it is rape) And even if she wanted a wholesome sex free relationship (which i dont think suits her character anyways) the core of what nicole was wondering is why she would do that without an ulterior motive, and she did have an ulterior motive.

I feel like more adults wouldn't help anything, would probably make it worse. Dude is an incel, his biggest problem is how much he's internalized his weird sex pest misogyny. It's something that every guy character is influenced by in the game, which is kinda the biggest point of it all. How women are conditioned into empathizing with the men who abuse them, and why this leads a lot of girls into adopting this mean girl persona and cynical worldview as a defense mechanism. Literally self protection through emotional detachment, manipulation and calculated cruelty. You can see what happens when Nicole tries to be accommodating, the social pressures put on women to be considerate and open coupled with the danger of making men angry forced her into hostage relationships that ultimately end in disaster because the men are only interested in her body and in possessing her like a trophy for their own fragile egos.
Emily’s insight about writers gave me a slap. As an overthinker, a fan of tragic and dark stories, and the kind of writer who like to project my feelings and thoughts onto lots of my characters, I had somewhat similar thoughts. Ofc it’s not as extreme and fcked up tho. Edit: Anyways, this was so fruity in the most messed up way possible
I love how nicole has an extra connection with any character for a route, she sees the real face of that character more than enough (except jecka because she was showing nicole her true face when they first met)
It’s just funny that Nicole is constantly talking about wanting to kill herself, but when she has a perfect moment to do it in dramatic fashion, she sabotages her own suicide. She likes living more than she’s willing to admit.
As a teenage poetry writer, I think that you can make a poem that seems really deep and mournful, but then give it a twist ending. I can write deep stuff, I can write silly stuff. But I also believe that sometimes, teenagers can be a bit deeper than adults.
The way that Jeffery became a school shooter in one route and ruined Nicole's life by taking a picture of her changing and is still considered remotely healthy proves how batshit insane Class of '09 is

Edit: In all seriousness Jeffery is one of those kids that needed better adults and less bullies in his life. Anyone can say "oh if he wasnt bullied he'd be twice as annoying" but the truth is giving people grace and patience goes alot of ways to help them better socialize, the problem is kids like him lose no matter how hard they try to be personable to the point no one wants to give them a chance. And yeah some people really do fit the lost cause profile but thats relative from case to case. Idk, I just wish the girls would just ignore him full time instead of half the time going out of their way to talk down to him or embarass him (yes, I know he doesn't need help with the latter AND yes I know Jeffery isnt innocent either, in one ending he literally shoots up the school but it doesn't help that Nicole and the others were REALLY kicking the hornets nest with that one)

I feel like more adults wouldn't help anything, would probably make it worse. Dude is an incel, his biggest problem is how much he's internalized his weird sex pest misogyny. It's something that every guy character is influenced by in the game, which is kinda the biggest point of it all. How women are conditioned into empathizing with the men who abuse them, and why this leads a lot of girls into adopting this mean girl persona and cynical worldview as a defense mechanism. Literally self protection through emotional detachment, manipulation and calculated cruelty.
You can see what happens when Nicole tries to be accommodating, the social pressures put on women to be considerate and open coupled with the danger of making men angry forced her into hostage relationships that ultimately end in disaster because the men are only interested in her body and in possessing her like a trophy for their own fragile egos.
Emily’s insight about writers gave me a slap. As an overthinker, a fan of tragic and dark stories, and the kind of writer who like to project my feelings and thoughts onto lots of my characters, I had somewhat similar thoughts. Ofc it’s not as extreme and fcked up tho.

I love how nicole has an extra connection with any character for a route, she sees the real face of that character more than enough (except jecka because she was showing nicole her true face when they first met)

It’s just funny that Nicole is constantly talking about wanting to kill herself, but when she has a perfect moment to do it in dramatic fashion, she sabotages her own suicide. She likes living more than she’s willing to admit.
