wow, such an old video. i remember seeing this 7 years ago aswell. i was very new to agario, but i found this video when something similar happened to me. there were like 20 players at first but no new players were coming in, and as people died, they left aswell, i was in a top 2 situation when the other 2 guys started teaming up on me but i overpowered them somehow, and i could still play for a while alone. it was a fun experience. nowadays agario is full of teamers and bot users. solo play is barely possible

If you've seen in Wun Wun's coming back video, he states that Agar.io is no longer as fun anymore, that can hint that he isn't enjoying making videos anymore, and that it's not the right thing for him, and then when he comes to his comments he doesn't want to talk about it, because he himself knows how crazy leaving a UA-cam channel like his is. He never really uploaded very consistently before as well, it seems as though this UA-cam channel was more dedicated to showing off skill than anything else, so maybe it didn't have such vast intentions as to get to where it's at today.
