Yep. Hair hair matters a lot. In a world where having pink hair is natural, seeing Seraphine having to dye her hair gives us the idea that she puts *a lot* of effort into her craft. Not only does she have a hand in the development of her gear, but she also changes her hair color for the stage and to solidify her superstar persona.

The Varus' one is pretty important since it helps distingush Seraphine from Sona.
Whereas Sona has the same ability as Jhin, controlling peoples actions and emotions. Seraphine purely hears a persons song but can also hear other voices within Aphelios, Kayn, Yorick, Udyr, and all of the voidborn, etc. LoR fixes not only her lore but also her power.
It would be nice if she was involved in the figth against the void, would give her some solid lore

I agree with what Nicky said, Seraphine was basically a champion designed around a skin.
HOWEVER, Riot took the time to fix her design; and that deserves some praise.

Another thing that Necrit completely missed that peeved me was in the Acoustician's description: _"Once, he'd dreamed of leaving Zaun and traveling the world with a song in his heart. Now, the world was asleep in her room, waiting for the songs tomorrow might bring."_ ; the flavor was telling about his dream to travel the world, but once his daughter was part of the picture, she became his world. But Necrit missed the underlying meaning and interpreted it as him fixing Sera's guitar when she was asleep lol
I like how she doesn't say anything to him, nor him to her back, It's one of the best interactions between video game characters I've seen!

As someone who currently lives in war I would add that her "tiktok" vibes personality is something regular civilian people need. I can't tell you how much all the quirky optimistic songs has helped me to go through the year without losing my mind completely. And they gathered a big audience too, even had concerts in subway stations.
When Seraphine was released I was also kinda disappointed with her character design at first, but now I see it as a more realistic character to live in that area. Not everyone should be a fighter, but giving hope is a huge task as well.
(I'm not talking about her as a appearance in-game, but more of a concept of a optimistic out-of-settings singer living in a very dark place).

Why are people agreeing with him. Seraphine is still lame as hell lol. The story was every kids tv show ever plot line, with some slick designs. It's fine to like seraphine but why is my man defending her, and saying she is cool, tf lol. Seraphine's dad is good person, not "a Chad". I think the brown hair making her seem more realistic is kinda funny considering that Jinx has naturally blue hair and Vi has naturally pink hair. The grown out roots are a cute look though!
that is the point as of now with her hair, helping the "idol" theme and the zaun part of things, as most people in zaun have exotic hair colors
If you notice almost all Zaunite characters have unnaturally colored hair from birth meanwhile piltovian characters have more grounded tones in their hair. So having Seraphin dying her hair to appear more connected with Zaun is a cool touch.

LoR improve Sera by basically expanding and adding in additional tidbits that she lacked in her LoL introduction. Her performing at Zaun, her interactions with her dad, and even her art shows so much like her making her guitar and her hair being dyed. While, i wish we get to see more of her empathetic abilities, hopefully this gets expanded on in Skarner's rework.
Seraphine's new design for me has things that make it WAYY better
-there is not glitter in her clothes, there is no material that would seem out of place for a Piltovan
-she has the same aesthetics as the other champs around her
-it shows us the type of person she is better than her lore
-It ages her a little bit, maybe similar age to Zeri and gives her a unique face(thank u Jesus)

It's cool. They made her alot more similar to her KDA version, ie 'spunky kid working hard and trying to make it' that's naturally gonna make her more relatable than LoL Barbie or whatever they were going for originally.

What I like about this is that the Seraphine in League still plausibly exists with this update, LOR just shows us another side of her.
You couldn't convince people League's Seraphine would go anywhere near Zaun, something even the champion designers seem to agree with judging by the voice interactions of champions released afterwards.
This Sera opens up the idea that Seraphine would cater to different audiences, with different costumes and everything it's great
Yeah it can be like she has outfits to please each audience, when she goes to Piltover she has to get all fancy and in Zaun it's more grounded...
Either that or the LOR version is sort of her "past", with her eventually getting into League form as she grows more popular...

2:26 Necrit, is the piece of paper you're talking about, the "flyer" in the story? It's the flyer for the music duel, which was his silent way of showing her he knows where she goes "in secret", and he approves of her.
Her having a good dad was such a nice touch to her character
I think the reason why LOR has such good lore building is because none of it is fully cannon. It gives the developers the freedom to go wild and without delays. I just hope that whoever is in charge of the lore in Riot considers their lore ideas seriously.
the luckiest part for me is that since all the pieces of media under the lol ip are disconnected lore-wise on diff. levels of canon/reality, you can just as easily enjoy the lor project as the be-all for worldbuilding since tbh nothing else has come close to its level of development.
How to fix Seraphine's lore for good:
Make Skarner's story move forward (cyborg Skarner concept).
Have Mecha-Skarner raid Piltover to save his people.
Make him meet Seraphine and have her read his mind to learn the truth about Hextech.
Turn Seraphine into a protest singer, questioning Camille's ways and exposing her to the public.
Make Seraphine challenge Camille to a rap battle (optional).

In fact, I'm surprised that he left out the interaction he has with Varus, where he can not only "hear" but also "silence" someone, in this case the souls of Valmar and Kai. That was a pretty wild interaction I think.

Honestly I am of the opinion that Seraphine could very easily be fixed if they literally just put her into a good story.
That’s the case for most problematic characters in League, frankly. Just give them good stories to flesh them out. Good execution can redeem almost any concept.
Let her interact with Ekko, or Zeri or the other Zaun kids. Maybe explore how they feel about her - Zeri for one seems to be less than impressed with her. That’s grounds for interesting conflict.
Have her interact with Skarner, or Zac who has similar empathic abilities. There’s a ton of different routes to take her character down if Riot is willing to just explore them.
The Zaun kids just see her as yet another idealistic Piltovan with no idea how their city works. I don't think she could have much of a comeback to them. If anything I would love to see what other Piltover characters think of her, since they would be the ones against any kind of peace.
Yep, after the fixes to her initial bio, Seraphine has always been a character with a lot of lore potential. Contrary to the biases many people had against her character, they'd make you think that her character was irredeemable without a retcon or rewrite of some kind and the fact that LoR does not contradict anything from her current bio disproved those biases.

Ever since that Seraphine card came out I was thinking how cool would it be if seraphine came out with 2 default skins. One same as the default and one similar to the lvl up card.
It would make it more obvious that she changes her appearance based on where she's performing, with Piltover being all about looks and greatness and Zaun being more grounded
That picture could also be of Seraphine's Zaunite mother. Seraphine's choice of colour could be her way of keeping the memory of her mother (who was probably a singer herself) alive.
She still needs a lot of work lorewise but seems Riot is heading in the right direction. I know they are willing to fix stuff but it just takes them forever.
Yup, they are doing VGU and reworks which are nice. But I also notice that they are probably focusing on Project L (fighting game), their MMO and Arcane season 2. But hopefully they still fix and flesh out some champs

it would be cool if seraphine's mom is a psychic, possible connected to targon. a lunari who escaped from the massacre and one day stumbled upon piltover, who she met seraphine's dad. that explains seraphine's powers and the hex crystals she tinkered with enhances her abilities that's why she can hear even higher being's voices
now I have such high hopes for her to make an appearance on the next season of Arcane

This really speaks to the ability of the Runeterra team. This is so them though, they've really elevated and fleshed out so much of League lore, and it's the same brilliance that made Arcane so good.

God finally, I love Seraphine with all my heart but Riot put so much effort on his KDA backstory that they forgot she had to fit in Runaterra after Worlds 2020. All this lore is incredible and I hope they don't miss the chance to expand the fact that she can hear Brakers inside hextech gems when Skarner rework is released.

This is the seraphine I wanted in the game. Not some preppy, egotistical, under-the-surface "I'm better than you" pop-star, but a down-to-earth musician who just wants to make a difference in the world. Her character in-game makes me think of "woke" celebrities that try to "share the plight" of the less fortunate while never actually walking in their shoes. Especially since she literally never even sets foot on the rift. Makes it feel like she couldn't even bother to get her shoes wet.
In-game=/=in universe... Why would you want a character who never says anything but nice things in game lol.

With how dry on content League PC has been it's a shame a lot of people won't try LoR just because it's a card game, especially up and coming content creators who have to choose between actually growing but having to play nothing but soloqueue, or having fun messing around with different decks but having a very limited audience.
The piece of paper mentioned in her first splash was just the flyer for the event that it mentions, the musical duel she thought he wouldn't her to participate in.
if only this was one of seraphine original skin , but we got stuck with the sona re skin , just imagine seraphene walking and viving kind of like annie walking animation but tall and with a guitar that shoots music , much more rock guitar hero and less pop star.
If the core universe is giving us the Ruination and LoR is giving us Seraphine's dad then I think we all know which one should be taking charge of the lore

I really enjoy hearing Necrit lose his lore-loving ass over this. It's really enjoyable and put quite a smile on my face.
Also I really do agree that this change to her in LoR is very cool. Kind of hope they make a future skin for her where when she ults, she pulls out the guitar and she starts jamming, with the length of jamming lasting as long as her ult travels. With the flame on her guitar going too.

The Legends of Runeterra champion designs are just incredible. Jax, Zilean and Master Yi got similarly excellent glow-ups and I prefer LoR's Udyr design over his LoL rework appearance.
So while I agree with most all the points, the one thing I never agreed with is Seraphine's hair. Look at Jinx, Vi, and Zeri, all from Zaun, all with their hair these unnatural colors, especially Zeri basically being neon green. I always thought her pink hair made her seem a little bit more like she was from Zaun for that reason alone.

Riot needs to give Sona some justice too. Seraphine always seemed like a Sona Rework in tearms of theme, kit and aesthetics. Not lore obviously. The first musician need some love...
I have no idea how Sona will work in Demacia for LoR, but I know she'll have fantastic flavor lol
Theme is different, Seraphine is moreso on the idol thematic while Sona is on the instrumental thematic
Kit is different too, Sona plays on the traditional Ministrel support skills (debuffing and buffing) in MMORPGs while Seraphine plays around a bard's destructive kit mixed with an enchanter role (only her W : Surround sound)
Aesthetics are heavily different just from the design alone. And to be honest, the only reason that she gets compared to Sona is because of their powers being literally Music.
Gameplay wise, they play differently as well.
Sona is more on Sustain and buffing
While Seraphine is more on making sets.
Sure Sona can do sets with her Ult, But Seraphine is moreso inclined with it due to her E, Which doesnt have a unit cap as well as combos with previous afflicted debuff on a champion
Plus, You gotta admit, Sona is basically Riot's poor attempt on making a ripoff of Hatsune miku playable in game
And dont even try to tell me that just cause she has twin tails doesnt mean she's Miku, Cuz She literally IS fashioned to be Miku - Blue hair, Music themed, and Long twin tails with bangs, Which is ngl, kinda eh...

A "flyer" is an advertisement, also known as a "handbill;" a printed paper with promotion info, often for an event. It's not a blueprint. Presumably it was an advertisement for the Zaun musical event mentioned in the text, indicating that her father knew about it and approved.

It really gives me an uneasy feeling to see all that content they added for her... without changing her story slightly. Like, LoR really made her into an actual character, and given actual depht to her, but they unfortunely don't have real control on the direction of the lore. That makes an abysmal difference when you compare it to her actual motivations and character.
Considering that LoR is always the best sorce of lore for quite some time now (even though some of the stuff they bring up is kinda... too much in terms of going against the stablished lore... looking at you, Galio expansion), im kinda afraid of League just putting up shitty lore to champions hoping that LoR will just magically make it better, when they don't really have the control of everything.
Haven't finished but did you forget that her lor look is DIRECTLY INSPIRED by your videos and artists on twitter hating her league look?
