Best line: "But he's trying to find something else ......... again".
True, but with Garcia, you really never do know. :-) It seems like it's frequently hero or zero on those type shots. He either pulls the rabbit out of the hat, so to speak, or sells out to some degree or another
I was surprised to see Filler miss two relatively easy shots (for him anyway), doesn't happen very often. He truly is the killer.
These games may have been a little crazy at times, but loads of fun to watch. Seemed like Filler let the 11 get in his head a bit on that 12 bank, so easy to do. Hard to tell on camera, but it looked like he was too long to even make it off the rail if it were clear, or at least close to that. In any case, on a bank shot, it was pretty tight, but not obstructing, from my dubious take, given that angles on camera are often quite deceiving.
Great job Frosty, as always. You add SO much value to these broadcasts. "Almost looks like a drill". Yup, my thought was that it looked like a VERY good 8 ball break, with hard 8 kick, at that point, for either set of bals. That was a nutty table. The first one that scores is almost certainly done, in this game, and done already if they were playing 8.
Boy, they were working the crap out of that wedge on the upper table, which I noticed about 1:13 (actually a bit later, and backed up to watch it). It went on for about ten minutes.
Those couple of really close bank misses on tougher shots were brutal near the end, when he was on seven.

Were there so many mistakes because it was the first round on an unfamiliar table?

Can't Rail Birds afford some more cameras? Impossible to see what's going on.

    Scott Frost,
sir....at 11:25 as the balls lay and with the count, PLUS if I may FACTOR Filler's offensive skill,
    HERE GOES,
for the sake of advancing one pocket theory, my question to you is,
(and I believe i am potentially or productively correct here when I say)
WHY is taking a foul here, not considered when the question itself imo begs to be heard and thus reasonably seen or at least answered if I am OR not... factually mistaken.
....i think my point either way is legit in terms of being addressed if you so choose with a simple yes or no being sufficient enough for me or of course.... however you wish to.
I know this spot, you know it better than i, but we both know or have to admit, the suggested shot outcome to follow next, doesn't put us in a reasonably secure position when there are other options of taking a foul in creative theory... potentially does secure our position of dilemma....opponent needing ONE and it's prospective theory of best optionality im sure you agree with and that is:
NOT LEAVING A SHOT, rather than baiting or hoping a low percentage DEATH BLOW remains that can still favor our opponent with some risk management due to his own skill and or fractional angular degree that happens to materialize as a result of us not being inch perfect and or (and here is the point again) conceding to a supposed fate of having to accept our dilemma and whatever else comes with it as far as perceived limited optionality remains in reality.
I can agree that a player being a horse or "runner" can as a game theory, limit is distance when considering the marathon a tournament is and the fact that the risk of ruin in this case makes it only 1-0 going to 3 and of course HARDLY OVER.
BUT, it is a tournament match structure just the same where every game counts as well, even though it's possible that extending these dilemma situations can arguably tire a runner out as well.... theoretically shooting one's self in the foot ....if I may say that im sure you understand but im not sure if that is a reasonable enough factor because nick varner as we also know, didnt ever seem to mind or be effected by what we know in that....he will take whatever optionality that secures a game win of any stage if he can and distance itself not being a problem although obviously not preferred by him or anybody for that matter.
Im talking or asking strictly from a tournament strategy game theory i repeat.... because I know even Nick to a certain lesser extent than you yourself....WILL roll the dice on a educated game theory decision when it comes to time vs dollar cost Management when it comes to a money game especially when it is a monetary amount per game ie; WE WILL MAKE more money per hour if we roll the dice and shorten up the distance BECAUSE OF THE FACT i....me myself knowing....NICK, theoretically never GAMBLES when it comes to risk of losing MONEY vs games when time itself is the profitable Factor.
....not to mention as well, I myself on the other end of the equation, is not tickled pink in those prospects when he decides to ever roll those bones.... LoL, or arguably any world champion because and no doubt my rhetorical philosophical saying of:
"NEVER DOUBT A WORLD CHAMPION.... you WILL come out the loser...REAL BAD and with a quickness for real mane"
    With all due respect,
thank you....Mr. SCOTT FROST world champion.
