- Sold out event. So much vintage equipment. Good thing I was just there to video the event. Would have been in big trouble returning with a load of boat Anchors. Believe me, I was tempted. Really had a great time. Ham radio isn't only for old guys. There are many facets to this hobby, Shortwave listening, modern SDR, Vintage tube, QRP (Low power) digital, (PC controlled), Video, Good old Morse code, experimenting with circuits and antennas, could go on forever. It's believed that this is a dying art. I do not see it ending, just evolving. Sit back & enjoy the show!

Terry, I stumbled across your channel last night and it has been like 20 some years since I ran into you at a swap. So, I'm enjoying watching these swap videos taking me down memory lane. My station is currently in boxes, waiting to get set up in a permanent home when I retire. Hoping to get well enough to attend swaps again. 73 de N8IWS.
Fully enjoyed your video....Living in the North Woods of Eagle River, Wisconsin, we don't get to many ham shows....if we do, they're small.

I attended the Hudsonville hamfest Saturday. Not nearly as big as Chelsea, but close to home and I got what I wanted - a Grundig Majestic radio to restore. Next year I may make the trip to Chelsea.

A lot of transoceanics available because unfortunately there's just not a lot to listen to on shortwave anymore without a bfo. Used to be fun to listen to the shortwave broadcasters but now it's either a political nut jobs, people wanting to sell you gold, religious broadcasting, brother stair the last day cult leader of God, and a few utilities such as CHU or WWV. I've got one and never turn the shortwave bands on listen to FM. Really sad.
Brother stair died in April 2021 are they still playing his tapes?
Yeah to hear interesting stuff you need a radio with SSB to hear HAM radio guys talking
