Imagine what this guy could do if he actually owned a keyboard rather than just practice in music stores.
Samuel Betes yeah I know. It was a joke.😀
@@samuelbetes3474 r wooooooosh
Maybe he could go on to feature in some prog rock band or two.
Yeah.. he can play n practice keyboard in ma house
Damn this guy is talented, he should join a band or something
that smile after each keyboard just means, "can't help it man.. can't help being awesome"
Hi
tell me please the title song minute 2:28
I appreciate how Jordan shreds insanely for 30 secs on a random keyboard then look at the camera and simply smiles
The shop owner can write "This keyboard had been played by Jordan Rudes", put it in, and increase the price. 🤣
Unfortunately he doesn't know him. 😂
I would do the same. It will be on collectors edition
lol
Exactly@@Svasprod
Jordan walking around making non-professional musicians reconsider their piano career. This is what this video is.
Celari Laughed hard at this!! hahaha : - D
Celari Or getting inspired to be like him. That's more likely.
@@JohanBrodd yeah that's more what a Profesional would do.
bacot
Yes, crushing hopes and dreams since 1999
you know you're good when even asian people are impressed by your keyboard skills
asian people "aahhh this guy reminds me of my 5 yo daughter"
The only reason the band it's not called Dorimu Fitta it's because western audiences would have problem to understand
Jordan Rudess after playing anything: "hehe"
problem of almost any musician, when you see a music store you always wanna go in there and buy everything but usually you only have money for picks :/
Alex Suxiashvili bahaha
Hahahahahahahahaha it's true
😭😭😭
Relate much. Hahahahaha. Damn!
Sometimes I get a little over-enthousiast and I buy a set of strings. Uhu.
I have been a firm believer that when he isn't touring or recording in the studio, he just roams the world looking for keyboards to play in public
Every store owner is looking at Mr. Rudess playing and thinking to themselves, "Buy something, you bastard!"
So happy for the guy of the photo in middle of the street :) once in a lifetime feeling :)
Max Cioffi same here
I love seeing these videos so much.
That bright smile he gives whenever he finishes playing on a keyboard, just beautiful.
Jordan Rudess is one of my inspiration to continue my keyboard learning despite being lazy on practice.
Imagine being able to wake up every day as Jordan Rudess...I'm jealous
I'm so happy to know that I'm not the only one who loves playing Tarkus on the Organ settings at the keyboard section!
Every instruments have been played by Rudess should have its price raised.
Yes
What a treat to walk into a store and find this magician!
I'm confident this guy is sitting near the top of improvisational artists today, as far as sheer practice volume and technical ingenuinity. He seems completely unprecedented and unique, yet his influence is ubiquitous.
I love how he just graces everyone in the store so nonchalantly and then the guy filmed him after Jordan being in the store for about 15 seconds
I died when Jordan played Tarkus
What, so you haven't checked his cover album with the Drummer from Dixie Dregs?
RIP
that's the best moment! Rudess is Emerson fan for sure
1:41 and 1:58
GMGuitar I think he plays Benny the Bouncer around 2:13
it would be funny if the guys from dream theater walked past a store playing their music and everyone saw them.
Frew concert i guess... Hahahaha
@@grzegorzbrzeczyszczykiewic563 yep
i love how at 2:34 he plays over the price tag and still does a good job :D

Rage Over Lost a Penny of Beethoven
I just luv going into musical instrument shops and playing all the keyborads
did they realized a god just visiting around the shop? lol
***** With my thumb in my anus I can do more true music than Jordan Rudess with any instrument. They guy is super overrated cause hes not a real musician, just a keyboard technical nerd.
You'll think twice if you just go listen to his work.
*****
Are you saying that listening to him live will be a different experience than listening him playing on youtube ?
I just don't understand how you think his piano skills can't compare to your thumb in your ass. He's really good, while you might not love the type of music he creates, he's still plays fast and steady and knows his music better than anyone else I've seen. Don't call him shit considering where he's gone with his talent.
*****
"he plays fast and steady" SEE ??? you know shit about music. Sorry but youre wasting my time.
Okay, so Tokyo just has 6 or 7 music stores on every other street.
They have it going on.
Jordan is such a cool dude!
1:41 don't worry Jordan, I didn't miss your little Tarkus homage ;)
Just love the smile he does after playing.
very inspiring is Jordan's playing. I'm new to the keyboard. can't wait to get playing :)
Seems like a very gracious man. I enjoyed this snippet.
I miss 48th Street in NYC as well. I can't remember if it was Sam Ash or Manny's but I was there on a weekday afternoon in the late 1980's or early 1990's when an entire entourage came into the store. Of course it drew everyone's attention and we all realized that Stevie Wonder had come in to try out some new keyboards. Amazing!
Damn that must have been amazing to witness
I love these types of videos.
Awesome keyboard player..his addition to DT was like Neil Peart to Rush. Major Upgrade
Wise words
From a technical perspective Jordan definitely outshines Moore and Sherinian. But there's something to be said about that classic Dream Theater sound. Sound sampling, neo-classical shred, and a more avant-garde approach. Now they're just another run-of-the-mill symphonic metal band, like Dimmu Borgir or Symphony X.
Jay MacDonnell
Portnoy s Exit changed the band Mangini is great drummer but Portnoy was the essence
of that band was his baby he's very happy now with the success of the Winery Dog's that's for sure it's what he wanted guess 25 years of prog was enough he accomplished much in his career youngest drummer to be inducted into the Drummers Hall Of Fame that alone is something though I think Marco Minnerman
should have got that gig he clearly had the chemistry with the band
shame would have been a different sound for sure with him behind the kit
We're talking about Rudess not Portnoy. Portnoy's influence is undeniable. He founded the band. Rudess coming in 14 years after DT started is a little different. He's a symphonic, classic prog guy, influenced by groups like Genesis, ELP, King Krimson, Deep Purple and of course his own classical Julliard background. DT is and always has been a group with the heaviness of Metallica and the creative, technicality of Rush. So incorporating Jordan's style was a gradual process.

Yes this is true guy is amazing keyboard player and those influences you mentioned are evident
I don't know how this guy gets up every day, sees his beard in the mirror and thinks "yeah, that looks great"
because
He's a celeb.. whatever celebs do it's fashion.. if we do the same thing..then it's ugly
wizard of beards, ops, keyboards.
I'm more curious about how he gets up and realize he's one of keyboard god in universe. That probably the best feeling ever.
HAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHA
I have so much respect for this man
I remember a small music instrument shop in Bremerton, WA. I stopped there the first time and playing a few keyboards and pianos and the owner came out to talk to me, and even meeting me the first time, he gave me an acoustic piano, even delivered to my place that was outside of town on the other side of the sound. Told me all I had to do was do a gig with him. Was sad to hear the store isn't around anymore.
He should be in a band
😂😂
Maybe he should audition for Dream Theatre 🤔
hes like a sunshine in one's day, always smiling!
1:04 The lick.... in tripple time :D
Justin Hombach WHAT SCALE IS THAT HES IMPROVISING OVER?!? Is that even a scale ....?
Gerron Marquel he's using many scales not just one
It's you!
Esse cara é de outro planeta!
toca muito!!
Dude doesn't just tickle the ivories. He has them side splitting in laughter and hysteria.
BEST 'VLOG' I EVER WATCHED
Its amazing how many keyboards are in this little hallway, meanwhile massive Sam Ash's and Guitar Centers and don't even have as many here in The States...
this guy should be the sole music creator for all of gaming.
Chow de inteligencia..e tecnologia..parabens..eu admiro muito suas musicas seus videos..RUDES VOCE É UM TOM MUSICAL..
Legend has it...when Jordan left the store , they doubled the price 4 all the keyboards he played
Jordan looks like a wizard walking on the streets 😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 I laughed so hard when I read your comment lol
Gandalf the BEARD😂😂😂😂
I would be Star Struck if I saw this
happening at my local music! 😎
Me too
i just love this guy!!!!!
Now you're just showing off..... DECADES of practice. This is what Absolute Mastery looks like, folks.
Nice composer and pianist! Legend!!!
4:05 Jordan gives me a "my human vessel is starting to decay" kinda feel...
For some reason he reminds me of Mr. Rogers... And that's awesome!
すっげー日本に魔法使いが舞い降りた!!
お遊びの試し弾きがエグすぎるw
"It's all about the levels". Perfect! :-)
That's cool Jordan gets recognized randomly on the streets of Japan.
Seems like a chill guy some one I would like to hang out with. :)
He was walking on the street like a sensei Master of keyboard xD
Esse cara é SHOW!
I'd love to visit Japan some day.
*Imagine some bald guy in a goatee walks in a keyboard store and plays like he made all of those*
1:57 Tarkus ostinato but with his right hand
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻always great Jordan 🙏
It must be a great feeling to know that probalby every owner of a keyboard store knows your face and name :D
おー凄い!自分もよく行くこの街にジョーダンルーデスが遊びに来てたとは!
Welcome to Japan,Mr.WIZARD!!
Wow! The God came in our music town!! Amazing!
I wish I took my piano lessons way back when seriously.
what a legend a true star!
love your sunglasses Jordan!
I spent the most awkward eye contact with this guy during his keytar solo when the opened for Maiden years ago. They were so out of place and they all knew it as we in the pit just stared...
Great Jordan Blessed man
Keyboards: come on man touch me make me alive
今度の来日のときにまた来ないかな笑笑
会いてええええええ!!!
WOW.... AMAZING JORDAN (Y)
The amount of times I’ve walked where he’s walking is insane to me
If I encountered Jordan in music store I definitely buy a keyboard and get some autograph 😅😅😅
Love the ELP tributes....
amazing musician
modern day Mozart! it's like keyboard is already a part of jordan's body, just amazing..
Mymy Jordan has the perfect Hollywood Smile!
Music God Jordan Rudess!🤘💯💯💯
Amazing
Someone needs to make a spoof of this titled "What someone screwing around with the keyboards in a music store ACTUALLY sounds like" and just have someone making obnoxious sounds on all of them, lmao.
Geniooooo !!!
Wow...
It's great !
Imagine randomly encountering Jordan rides playing Emerson lake and Palmer in a random music shop on Tokyo that would be insane
El fin de semana de todos, absolutamente todos: ...
Mi fin de semana: Acá paseando con Jordan en la Colón viendo casas de instrumentos musicales.
