- Complete resort review of the 5 Star, Adults Only, Shore at Katathani, including things to do, alternative 5 star accomodation in Phuket, and an overall rating of the resort.
The Shore at Katathani on Phuket island is, in my view, one of the best 5 star resorts for total relaxation. A resort that you could stay in your villa for a large portion of your stay without the desire to leave.
Each villa has its own decent sized private pool. You also have the choice of two larger resort pools and the choice of using the adjoining resort pools and facilities also.
Villa shown in the video: Seaview Pool Villa Romance

Very informative! Good video. What room type were you in? Was it Seaview villa or Romance villa?
Thanks for your compliment and question. I just looked up the original reservation and the Villa shown in the video was a Seaview Pool Villa Romance.
Phuket sure has some luxury hotels to boast about these days. Having been to Phi Phi and Krabi, I'd rather spend just a few days in Phuket then take off for the islands or Krabi for most of my holiday. I don't like the beaches on Phuket (the sea is rough) and I despise the traffic. That place sure looks wonderful though.
@@mancunianinlondon I think it also depends on the time of year you visit. When I have visited a number of times in December , January the sea has been very calm and flat both at the Shore and up at Surin. While at the same period over in the gulf of Thailand the waves were up. In August this year in Phuket the surf was up .
Traffic can be terrible but not really a problem if you have seen most of the sites before and just spend time around the resort . The shore is one that I felt you didn’t need to leave much other than a quick run over to Patong to go to the Savoey for dinner etc. you only need to put up with it coming and going to the airport and I try to avoid the Moring and afternoon rush hours.
@@globebug Yes the sea was rough when I went because I went in June and July. I would not get in because it was too risky. The sea in Phi Phi though was very calm and we did lots of snorkelling on PP Leh and PP Don and Bamboo island. Nice videos, lovely to see different hotels
