Wow, I’ve been struggling with oil stains for ages, and the baking soda trick is genius! You’ve just saved me a lot of time and frustration. Looking forward to more creative ideas from you!

Baking soda and dish washing liquid might help to remove old oil stains. If it doesn’t work, Spray the affected area with a water displacement lubricant like WD-40® to reactivate the stain. Let sit for 15-30 minutes. Then treat again with baking soda and dish washing liquid. I hope it will be helpful for you. 😊
7:04 is interesting. I really like 7:15. So obvious and yet, everyone I know (including me) is trying to put sweets inside the container. So awkward! It make sense to place it on the lid Thank you !🌷

My mom taught me the baking soda/burnt pot trick 30 yrs ago. Yes, it doesn’t smell great, but it works (we didn’t use lime or other acid, though). I forgot about the upside down container method for cake, lasagna, pie, anything solid. Thank you for the reminder.
That’s wonderful! Baking soda is such a classic trick that never fails. Glad the container method brought back memories-simple yet effective! Do you have any other kitchen hacks that have stood the test of time?
My mom taught me how to microwave pasta at that time. Just make sure there’s enough water, cover tightly with plastic wrap, and nuke on high for ten mins. (She learned this trick from a chef in her work cafeteria.)
Thank you Linda home! These are so much easier than my methods. Especially for garlic, I use a great deal in cooking now I will be able to use it with much less waste and frustration! P!ease continue your ideas I will watch ! 😸

When I was in college (mid-70s), I wanted to use the baking soda idea on a glass pan that had burnt-on food. I put it on the stove top. Guess you know where this is going. Yup, the glass broke (thankfully, it did not explode, which would have sent glass shards all over the kitchen, and me!). Lesson learned.
