It's not that bad, not like GTA for example where every item costs money, shark cards etc. That said, it's just how the world works unfortunately, Capitalism. in the future this might change to big-tech and Corporatism or Corporatocracy.
In a perfect world, devs would create games with passion, putting their soul and creativity into their work without asking money for it at all, but in Capitalism world, angry CEO and publishers set deadlines (crunch culture) or you will get fired.
In GTA u can buy ALL in game items & NEW dlc for IN GAME money, You cannot do that with Destiny 2, You do not need to spend a single penny on gta online. @@trackah123

Breaking the game with new power combos and adding a new faction was the right call. If this is the last major dlc, I'm pretty excited.

I’m far from a Destiny Player, but it is nice to see devs happy about the things they are creating. Also, seeing gameplay be incentivized by art was dope as well. 2:24

Haven’t played since Forsaken. Someone please enlighten me on why Destiny players hate Destiny now?
A lot of people will say different things but ultimately sunsetting(removing previous content) hurt the game a lot. Also almost impossible to get in to the game again solo unless you are willing to watch 100s of guides. While teaching my sister, New player experience has improved but is still terrible to say the least. I still really like the game😅

There is a subclass in Destiny. Playing the game isn't necessary but absolutely coming into every comment section and yelling at people how bad everything is, how you're not allowed to enjoy anything. We're not talking about constructive engaged respectful criticism, it's full on unhinged ranting. It's a special subclass full of joyous people. They generally need a hug and to get out more. However they are easily avoided by actually playing the game as most people that actually play it are just there to enjoy it.
Seeing as you haven't had an answer that covers everything..
Sunsetting: They removed a ton of content people had PAID for, ENTIRE dlcs removed, Weapons removed that people had paid money for skins for, Not including the 1,000's of hours players spent getting rolls they wanted, all removed.
Re-skins: They have re skinned the same activities over & over, re skinned vendors, re skinned enemies, re skinned weapons, even making us RE FARM stuff they previously "sunset". Imagine spending 100's of hours trying to get a certain weapon perk set, then a yr later you cannot use the weapon, Then a yr later they re skin a activity to make you farm for the SAME weapon you already had but cannot use.
New player exp: just as a base line, last time I checked if you want access to ALL content in D2 you will have to spend about £200 in DLC, Then work out how to tackle all of that content, The new player exp is terrible in destiny.
Timegated content: D2 is now filled with time gated content, (people do not like this) it is a way to SPREAD out content to make it last longer.
Hit & miss seasons:
Some seasons in D2 have been terrible, some good, but some of the story DLC has been a complete mess.
Server issues:
Most big updates break the game, cannot log in for 24hrs after a update or if you can get in you get error coded a LOT
PvP:
People are unhappy with the lack of PvP content, they barely add new maps & all game modes are just basic, slightly better re skins of other game modes.
Delays:
Bungie have delayed nearly EVERY DLC/season so far.
In general people have noticed more & more that bungie is a incompetent dev, Everyone's experience will be different but that was some of the reasons people hate bungie.
lol the hilarious honest thing about all these over powered new abilities; You're still gonna get those random team mates that get one shot, etc, leaving you as the last player standing😂

Destiny 2 Lightfall made me return to Warframe and been looking it ever since.

Definitely a perfect game for all players in destiny 2, be sure to pre-order the final shape, but finish playing lightfall and other expansion in d2.

It's a fun game to play but the new player experience is awful and I will never forgive their decision to vault major content. A good game held back by awful decisions.
Unironically Destiny was better off under Activision... which is saying alot

After just a few years away from the game, the verbiage has already become foreign. It’s like I can’t even understand the language they’re using to describe what makes this content interesting. I imagine I’m not alone, and I that this is an endemic problem with perpetual strings of expansion.

@@bobross8585 well i have been looking and hearing these devs talk and play their own game and see how enthusiastic they are about their own game and how much they seem to love it like the little innocent nerdy kid in all of us does. And then I suddenly get this scene from a South Park episode projected in my head where everyone in town likes the smell of their own farts. It's the same vibe i am getting with this, i wonder if they have checked with their player base on what they actually want or expect from the game, i doubt it, feels like these people are just salvaging what is left of the game by letting everyone just go wild and fullfil their personal pet fantasy before the ship sinks anyway.
im pretty sure they are working on a new subclass, but that was planned for next year and are still cooking it, this was probably what they needed the extra months for, + the new enemys.

Mid at best: D2 The Game
i mean, new enemy race, a new exotic system, and a mix and match subclass subclass is pretty cool. i hope it just becomes the norm and this is what subclass are, going forward, like mixing and matching with other light subclasses, like i like the hunter knife but i hate the gernades, and supers... i mean sure we wont have this in the game yet, but i hope they expand on that.. this is coming from someone who hasnt played destiny 2 in 6 months so... im kind of looking forward to this?

Player fall off gonna be worse after this is over😂😂😂. I stopped playing after WitchQueen and had a prior break before then.
I haven’t been back since and no matter what I can’t imagine any ending to this 10 year bloated story that makes no sense at all that will satisfy the remaining player base and fans.
Good luck though folks I would imagine most of you myself included at one point have sunk enough money and time into this game that to not see it through would be ridiculous😅😂😅
