i think it's a fortuitously intelligent step to take... a way to stall the craft without overpowering the engine, accept the perspective, wait to come back to orbit, if at all... i think david bowie, or hunter s thompson might be good parallels of establishing a persona that didn't just implode to a snivelling mess... you get that celluloid bubble of people around you and your sense of motivation can become delimited like richard pryor on fire or charlie sheen's episode... in living color, "alright then", over the top jim carrey deserves a slow exhale... that sort of antics-based comedy is such a long shot of lasting staying power, but once it does...... rambling i guess, just after robin williams, the spotlight has to feel overwhelmingly visceral for him... i know robin williams was really close to jonathon winters, but i always wanted to see him and jim express a public cohesion and affinity... sigh, fuckn rambling

Lennert Olsen Exactly. When hes looking at the crowd & you remember the CULMINATION of his work, Dumb & Dumber, Bruce Almighty, Ave Ventura, Me Myself & Irene, Liar Liar...then in that moment hes much older, with a beard, and he seems happy just drinking it all in as if saying "I made it, ive done it all". wish i knew the song.
This guy understands life and embraces it. He is amusing and we can thank him for relieving us from our concerns, if just for a moment, over and over. But to see the REAL Jim Carrey come out, is nothing short of amazing.
Everything Jim Carrey does becomes memorable. He has SO many good movies. Some actors get famous for a specific role, e.g Daniel Radcliffe in Harry Potter. But Jim Carrey is Ace Ventura, Truman Burbank, Lloyd, The Grinch, Bruce Nolan etc..
Broken TV Games yes, ofcourse! And his role in You, me and Irene is also worth mentioning..I think my favorite comedy movie of his is Ace Ventura and drama The Truman show
Many people think this man is going nuts but honestly... He's not. Jim Carrey, from what i get, is just tired of this whole hollywood stuff.. He stood there with a face (as i said, from what i get.. ive seen other videos and he has the same facial expression towards the audience) of disbelief. He doesnt understand why those people treat him like a king, or a God. Everyone thinks he jokes when he speaks but he's telling the truth. 100% truth. He isnt Jim Carrey anymore. He gave that role up. That persona. The "person" that everyone wanted that gave him many opportunities is no more.
That's the consequence of going into the abyss of comedy and never expanding career paths. Jim had enough time to detach himself from comedies but couldn't stop himself in time. A few dramas aren't enough, he needed something more and it's too late.

*Everyone cheering* What’s going through his mind: all these people are just atoms and energy and will all eventually be dead and the universe is infinitely divine.
Roze yeah exactly. The desire of having no desire is still a desire. Even if Jim reaches a state of higher concsiousness, there will always be an ego there to tell him what to think
If one tries to lose their ego it is an ego trip. If one opens themself to the reality that it never existed, mourns and accepts that, then the ego is transcended.
Honestly, this makes me happier than sad. While I’m really sad that Jim Carrey is leaving the stage, I know this will probably also usher in a new age for actors, in which many will try to be as great as him, and many more will see him as a unreachable goal.

i think it's a fortuitously intelligent step to take... a way to stall the craft without overpowering the engine, accept the perspective, wait to come back to orbit, if at all... i think david bowie, or hunter s thompson might be good parallels of establishing a persona that didn't just implode to a snivelling mess... you get that celluloid bubble of people around you and your sense of motivation can become delimited like richard pryor on fire or charlie sheen's episode... in living color, "alright then", over the top jim carrey deserves a slow exhale... that sort of antics-based comedy is such a long shot of lasting staying power, but once it does...... rambling i guess, just after robin williams, the spotlight has to feel overwhelmingly visceral for him... i know robin williams was really close to jonathon winters, but i always wanted to see him and jim express a public cohesion and affinity... sigh, fuckn rambling
Search for "Jim Carrey Eckhart Tolle".
*Jim says something profound and serious .
*audience HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
@alisa dark I expect the audience to actually react to what he's saying not just laugh on que like programmed robots lol I don't think he was actually trying to be funny at times!
MrMongoose221 Well he did talk about shaving his balls, it’s not like he’s not funny any longer.
MrMongoose221 he’s not cloned, not dead.. this is really him, nor do I believe he’s part of the MK Ultra group. It’s the same premise behind Dave Chapelle, but unfortunately in that circumstance he sold his soul to the satanic Illuminati and is now a clone.
Jim Carrey saying something profound is the joke though.
They're programmed to laugh....
That's scares me
The applause is definitely well deserved
Grew up watching Jim Carrey
Hello
He plays it off as a joke but when he looked into the crowd, he had real love in his eyes
Ugh 🙄
True. ❤️❤️❤️
I think the scariest thing is not knowing what is truly going on in someones head. Like many have pointed out, its always the funny people, the ones that love making others laugh that are the saddest on the inside. Robin Williams, i never wouldve seen that coming. Knowing Jims past history with depression, I along with everyone on here i believe can say that we wish you Jim, all the happiness in the world, along with all of lifes blessings. Truly deserves it, and he is a true legend.
End of music is right, he's actually happier than ever. He's friends with eckhart tolle and feels free for the first time in his life from what he has learned

Janis Farhat he's a freak
The intro music complimented his beard & his facial expression so much
Ryan_n its agree!! do u know the name of it ??
khalid rami Not sure dude, but its probably just a cover of another song they did. sounds good tho!
Ryan_n Yes! Not only complimenting, also the combination of the heartfelt tones and his calm focused entrance attitude gave me chills, somehow he showed a feeling. What a moment
It's let's be still by the head and the heart
Actually quite moving when jim walks out to it
This man put many smiles on my face so many times all these years .
Thank you Jim❤❤❤
This guy understands life and embraces it. He is amusing and we can thank him for relieving us from our concerns, if just for a moment, over and over.
But to see the REAL Jim Carrey come out, is nothing short of amazing.
Jim didn't lose his mind. He ascended to a higher level of consciousness.
I agree
With a great beard comes great responsibility.
And lots of triming and maintainance.
Note to Jim. Stay away from strange boardgames like Jumanji
Mark Porter Don't I know it
And you wear it well my friend!
MarkPorter,
And even greater ass stubble.
He is remembering what that sound means. He know he brought joy to many lives for decades.😊
Also the legend that is Stanley Ipkiss/The Mask
Broken TV Games yes, ofcourse! And his role in You, me and Irene is also worth mentioning..I think my favorite comedy movie of his is Ace Ventura and drama The Truman show
hheebbaa1993 It was Me Myself and Irene😂😂
Myztik Jestaa oh yeah haha. My mistake.. I thought of You, me and Dupree 😂😂😂
+hheebbaa1993 dumb and dumber

@@vickys.love00 he’s 60 in January I think
@@freyabird ;) right age
You have no idea.
Soul never dies it just changes body..
The "person" that everyone wanted that gave him many opportunities is no more.
chrisrowsales F'real someone understands
chrisrowsales fun fact before he became famous he was a high school janitor
chrisrowsales his gf or something also committed suicide a while back
chrisrowsales Little "g" Peter, little "g".
That's the consequence of going into the abyss of comedy and never expanding career paths.
Jim had enough time to detach himself from comedies but couldn't stop himself in time.
A few dramas aren't enough, he needed something more and it's too late.
Jim Carrey has been a legend and he brings joy and hope to everyone
Right bro ❣️
Why does it look like Jim Carrey exactly knows when humanity will end
Your name is Mohammed, therefore, I do not like what you just said because it does not make sense, as it is in-appropriate.

The funniest people are often the most disturbed and depressed.
Because nobody can make them laugh like they do !
Meow Tow I wouldnt say Jim is. He just seems tired of the facade of Hollywood and its admirers.
I find I pretty astounding that people consider finding themselves as depressed. This man has simply found what so many search for in the wrong places, happiness. You can't buy it, steal it or fake it. True happiness is developed within the mind of an individual and nobody can guide you there but yourself.
Brian Shedd probably a lot easier when you're a millionaire actor with no worries of sleeping on the streets if you get fired tomorrow
Why does he have to be depressed?
jim carrey always legend.... he makes laugh everybody through his movies
He knows being a celebrity is stupid. Thats why he doesn’t take selfies with fans anymore.
Its not stupid. He makes people happy. What stupid about that?
There is no stupid profession. If there is demand for that that means world needs you.
It’s not stupid, it’s a profession. It’s entertainment. I think stupid is your way of expressing that thought.
Both of you missed the point, and thats why you wont understand the behaviour and obsession with materialistic things. Yes, idolising another human being just because they are a celebrity is stupid, I feel sorry for those who don’t see that. No one said anything about his profession as an actor or ability to entertain.
Antonio Breaux acting is a profession not ‘celebrity’ which is a title created purely to attract the masses with illusion that this is something to be desired.
It is really amazing to see how a “famous” man realize that nothing of that fame and fortune it’s what really matters in life but to evolve in ourselves and connect with the universe and the people that surround us.
😂
@@hernanmurillo8925 what is wrong with you

when jimmy said “how’s it going?” and jim said “good” and turned back and smiled was what got me crying
He’s truly an actor. Just standing and staring at the audience and letting whatever happens happen. So cool.
He's an absolute legend
The only place he's a legend is in his own wacked-out mind (what there is of it.
You mean bell end.
legend not mocking illuminati this time?
There was a time I would have watched this and thought Jim lost his mind but now I'm seeing this separated from this fake reality and think Jims found a way out. He seems so real and genuine.
He went out and just stood. He just stood and watched and listened. What a beautiful moment.
His acting is superb .
What a lot of people missed in this show is how he makes eye contact with as many as he could so that he can see whether he deserves it and thus making a eye contact would be a personal thank you.. There is something about those eyes of him which seem like they have so much wisdom in them already. Jim Carrey has got some of the very best of us..

Roze yeah exactly. The desire of having no desire is still a desire. Even if Jim reaches a state of higher concsiousness, there will always be an ego there to tell him what to think
@Rahul Bhuyan noone car
