I never felt like I could get the hang of Rakan. Maybe with more practise I’d see results but it always seemed like when I played him I’d just get bullied and out traded in lane by more useful supports and adcs. Maybe I’m just not properly utilising him as these pros do, but it always seemed like more tanky engage supports got more consistent results. Rakan doesn’t really have as much tank to him.
rakan is much like bard in skill expression/ceiling/game knowledge, he definitely excels in higher ranks because of the way his kit is designed. His E is not just for his ADC but also for himself to get in and get Q and W poke off without having to commit to something vs a hooker such as thresh or blitz. he survives long lane phase by healing himself and his ad with Q and keeps engage champs off his teammates with W. it takes a lot of practice to get out of the all or nothing mindset for early poke champs like rakan
that j4 at the end of game 2 was running for his life.
