@@lillyshort8291 how was it offensive? It was a joke. People need to stop being so sensitive. It was not that serious. They're talking about fictional characters for God's sake and when u think about it Lena and Kara are just friends.
@@random.stuff_. was a joke about fictional characters but you don't know how much a lot of people already heard that in real life. When you put in this place, doesn't sounds like a joke!
Nobody wants to be the butt of the joke, especially if the subject is important to you. I'm pretty sure the cast knows how important supocorp is to their fans. Imagine your friends joking and laughing at something you strongly believe in. I don't care if it's two fictional characters. You don't know how nice to have a wlw representation on screen to us. And yes you might say we have sanvers but can't we also dream and hope that we have another representation.
I never said he was homophobic, unprofessional yes. And helping lgbtq doesn't give you a free pass to act like this. Not really supercorp fan more of korrasami. I just felt bad for the fandom because if saychel and janet did something like this I will be completely devastated.
Sofia Moreira yeah it's classy to laugh at what all you guys are upset at others for joining in on and/or laughing at as well but yet somehow she's pure and the savior for doing the same thing
+Brittany Jackson She's literally the only one who DID the right thing and everybody else just keeps screwing up. (not david and odette tho they were quiet)
Katie is either more empathetic or more insightful about LGBTQ fanbases because she is basically the only one who seem to understand in that moment that what was happening would offend the LGBTQ fanbases as well as people who believe that shipping is part of the wonder of fantasy and that it should be okay to interpret characters in anyway. Katie didn't need to be yelled at on Twitter. she just understood the issue and respected the fans. please people on Twitter don't come for her or david. she tried and he was just in the room. I guess if this show stats sinking from all the outrage #freekatiemcgrath2017
whenEVER I rewatch this interview, I laugh so hard at this line. She says undertones just to keep the context of what she was saying going, but my mind always just cuts to her various passionate makeout sessions with women across the various lesbian roles she's played. *mmh hmm yes undertones*
I hated this interview but Katie is still there trying to explain that there is nothing wrong by supporting Supercorp,, she knows how much we care about it. she cares so much about us
fandoms are the literal core of every show though lol. If there weren't any fandoms, views and media widespread rates would decrease in an even pace, if not exponentially.
For all of you new Katie McGrath fans, she's always been this woke. When she was on the show Merlin, and everyone shipped Merthur, she said basically the same thing she says here, that fans can take whatever they want out of it and we shouldn't deny them. This was 6 years ago. She's an angel, and the only reason I will continue watching this show.
People even fail to realise how progressive Katie actually was,she even said Colin and Bradley probably don’t feel the same way as their fans about the romantic side of their relationship but she can totally see it and she was miles ahead of all her cast members even since the beginning
@@blahblah1939 i watched that interviews and is so nicee! (Also Colin and Bradley see it too in my opinion, SPOILER AHEAD!! Colin was like "Merlin never gets a Love interest, and when he does, they kill him" And Bradley says that Arthur sees Merlin as more than a friend!
omg that is disgusting the fact that katie was the only one that tryed to defend the fandom while the others were making jokes about it just make me love her more
So now we know that the Supergirl cast should not be allowed anywhere without Flo and Chy, even though Katie did a good job at trying to save everyone's asses before Chris ruined it again... They didn't even mention Alex or Maggie in the recap, you know the actual/canon lgbtq+ representation on the show...
Well I mean- Jeremy was kind of having to make up lyrics on the spot. That’s a lot of pressure and I’m surprised he managed to remember as many things as he did.
Last year I wrote a comment about them not giving a microphone to the most intelligent and well spoken person in the room (Chyler). This year, they managed to do it again with Katie...
Christine Baik probably because the fanbase is a bunch of millennials who label you as homophobic if you even breathe. That's the only thing this show has going for it, the stupid crap out in to make all the teenage girls happy
RIGHT?! It's like, do these people even realise "teenage girls" are the bloody target audience of these kinds of shows? So why wouldn't they want to make them happy? I don't see the guys complaining when Supernatural or some other shit show like that throws in a hot girl for the sake of fanservice.
Get this through your addlepated head; *_there is nothing between Supergirl/Kara and Lena_* . If you or any other extremist wants to see a lesbian relationship, get up off of your spotty behinds, enroll in a writing course, write your own script for a TV show with said lesbian relationship, get it sold and turned into a TV show, and then come back and tell us what you've learned. Otherwise STFU, and get a life.
Yeah, probably! U know why?! Because Kara is STRAIGHT! So yeah, obviously if she had this chemistry with a male character they’d be more likely to have a ship. Because no matter what you say or how much you want it, you can’t just will a character to be gay. If a character is straight, she’s not going to fall for a female character. There is nothing wrong with that. That being said I do still support the ship, I just respect that it’s not going to happen because of the characters sexuality.
@@hehehehehhe3867, because the moronic bitch I responded to is trying to ship Kara Danvers/Supergirl and Lena Luthor when neither of them is a lesbian, and there's already a lesbian relationship on the show; these people, as I said, need to do as I suggested and get a life, or STFU about this.
lmao some of these people getting so butthurt over the ship, and im over here like: i want more cat grant, and kara and winn to be closer because jeremy jordan lmaooo
Katie is so pure. Bless her soul. To the rest of the cast who were making a fool of themselves, please be educated into the fact that you are public figures and what you say and do creates an impact on a vast majority of the people who support, or did support you.
It's interesting that Katie says she didn't see an obvious undertone between the two females characters of Lena and Kara, and yet she's the one that when acting as Lena looks intensely at Kara, with the lip-biting and all. Her character doesn't look that intensely at anyone else. But I did like what she had to say in this interview, it was nice.
Jeremy deserves better. The treatment he got for this was unacceptable. He did not need to apologize multiple times for this. This clearly was just a joke. People these days are way too sensitive and need to relax. It was not intentional to hurt anyone.
@@TheFrosty-bb7jz she's trying to maintain a good relationship with her colleagues and friends. im actually serious are people expecting her to storm out of the room or just sit there looking pissed off? no, she let her friends speak their mind, then she stood up for us and contradicted them. i'm a supercorper but if you expect anyone to die on a hill for your ship you're way out of line.

“When a person tells you that you hurt them, you don’t get to decide that you didn’t.” - Louis C.K. For whole two days I am jumping from Tumblr to Twitter to UA-cam to look for comments and reactions on this... I do not understand how the cast that was interacting in the song (minus Katie and Odetta) still have not apologize and just search for excuses for their behavior
Unless you are ultra, hyper sensitive, and have an agenda you are trying to force onto other people. That some of the community's idiots have been fiercely attacking the cast - even making personal threats - is a sign of an imbalanced mind. The community needs to dial it WAY back and take a more realistic look at who they are, their relative size to the public as a whole, and stop being driven into a frenzy every time they perceive a comment or action is not dreamily perfect to their specifications.
I might be one of the rare few, but as a bisexual woman who totally ships Supercorp, I didn't find this offensive at all. They were having fun creating a musical recap of the show, and in their high spirits, might have gotten a bit carried away, but that was all it was for me. And to be honest, I think it's actually good that they're not queer baiting by leading fans on with a "Will they, won't they?" type thing. Melissa and Katie also got more serious about it later on, and when Katie gave that really beautiful and thoughtful answer as people have pointed out, you can hear Melissa verbally agreeing to it with a definitive "Yup." If Chyler and Floriana had been there, they might've also had more to contribute to the subject and kept the conversation more grounded since they're more involved with the LGBTQIA+ community, but unfortunately they weren't. Regardless, anyone who has followed the cast of Supergirl knows that they're all beautiful souls with big hearts and they love their fans, whoever one might choose to ship, so I don't think they deserve all this negativity they're getting over this one interview.
Jamie Zelene Glades I know I’m like 9 months late, but I’m so happy I found a comment like this. Thank you for taking time out of your day just to write this. People should know this. This show isn’t about ships, it’s about the comics and it’s about Supergirl. The show isn’t called Supercorp or Karamel for a reason. It’s based on Kara Zor-El’s life, not really her relationships.
I am obsessed with Katie McGrath. I'm in the LGBTQ+ community and I love that she validates her fans. But to those saying she's the only one, Melissa yells "GIRLFRIENDS" in 1:38. I think Melissa is a silent supporter
1:41 i'm straight but this wasn't nice at all!! like saying once was enough he didn't have to go so hard! bruh sorry the supercorp shippers got slammed :( and laughed at
There is nothing wrong with voicing ur opinion on a ship u don’t like. I BET you if he had been referring to Kara’s good friendship with a male character that ppl shipped her with and he didn’t like nobody would be getting butt hurt. I personally have seen ppl do this all the time with ships they just don’t see and don’t like, and ships they think aren’t good because they characters r just friends. He is allowed to voice his opinion about a ship he does not agree with.
....do these actors not understand what shipping is? Most Supercorp fans KNOW it won't ever happen. thats not the point. some of the most popular fictional pairings aren't canon in the source material. fans don't care. they ship anyway and i admire them for maintaining pairings with little to no content. There's not a huge amount of wlw pairing on tv so sometimes the fans have to imagine there is. can't the cast AT LEAST let them have that??
sorry but I am just being honest and will tell you most actors think the shipping crap is nuts and this is why most refuse to do interviews or talk about ships and stay away from social media. Eg ..Whatever happens they know whoever they like a character to be with they will never with anyone cause there are thousand of fans who will disagree.
but that's not what they're doing? they're not "staying away" from it, they're openly mocking it. couldn't they just decline to talk about it and leave it at that? They're knowingly creating drama just to upset fans and that's just so disgusting to me.
It's like how you surely don't love every straight relationship on tv. Some are boring, have no chemistry, are not interesting individually etc. So few tv couples actually interest you to start with, then imagine that number significantly reduced. Then factor that the lgbt character is usually a side character, and there's your problem. Alex is obviously pretty central but coupling her up has also been a bit of a knock on her characterisation, so not perfect
Most of them yes, but there are some people who take if too far when shipping Supercorp thats all. People are hardcore shippers and i'm cool with it, it just some people are actually saying flat out on instagram that they aren't watching it anymore because of karamel, then were excited that Mon-El had to leave. smh. why can't everyone just get along and be happy for all the characters and ships :/
@@random.stuff_. I seen you in almost every comment😂, do you hate the supercorp ship or something? The whole dynamic of shows these days is being able to ship multiple people and create fandoms, and that fandom just felt offended by the comments of the actors. Some people got offended some didn’t, but that don’t mean people who got offended had no reason to
Jedi Master if you knew anything about Jeremy and things that have happened in his family, you'd know he wasn't a homophobe. This is not a term to throw around. Especially on someone who you don't know.
he might be an ally but even allies can have homophobic moments. also you don't get to decide what I, a member of the community, find to be homophobic or not. homophobia comes in different ways and levels. you can support the lgbt community and still do homophobic things occasionally
As an actual lesbian, I find the hate comments way more insulting than what the cast was saying. Leave the cast alone. If you feel offended, then that’s your issue. I say this because (as hard as us fans wish it) SuperCorp will never happen. It is not canon. Also, the Daxamites know not of their corruption. Hence all the partying. So, can we just call down? The cast was not making fun of lesbians in general. If a fictional non-canon ship offends you when it’s attacked....then you probably need help. Just saying. This show has a cast who works hard. And they’ve gone through so much hate. As a group they experianced death threats. If a cast can stick together through all that shit.....then I’m going to be loyal to their show. Haters will hate. It’s sad but true. But I’m going to stand up for the cast, my LGBT community, and the logic of reality. It’s a show. My show. Their show. If our show offends you, then that really sucks. Because even if it stops making seasons, I’ll still be a fan.
1:you can tell the cast was out of control. 2:katie saved everybody. 3:I can see why people are getting mad and asking for an explanation and I totally understand but I really like this show so don't cancle it this show brings me and my cousin together and we never get to see each other but when we do watch this and it makes us feel empowered and like a supergirl And I love that feeling Please dont cancle #thankskatie
There is this wonderful interview/gif of Mark Hamil responding on a similar situation when a young male fan asked him if Luke Skywalker could be gay. This poor kid was apparently having a very tough time with his sexuality and found something in a character that he thought he could relate to. And Mark's answer to this kid was the epitome of what professionalism and responding to fandom should be about. This mocking, snarky song regarding Supercorp is the exact opposite of professionalism and understanding that Mark displayed. And this SG cast wasn't even prompted to bring up Supercorp at all. Like, they had no reason to even do it, but you can't help but feel like they definitely had an desire to undercut a part of the fandom that sees something in characters that they don't necessarily see. And it doesn't even matter how the actors may personally perceive it, it is how they handle themselves in a public space/fandom space that is very telling about their character.
You have no clue WTF you're talking about. The cast by Sat afternoon was exhausted, after getting pounded by tens of thousands of fans and wanted to let loose a bit. They've also been getting hammered on social media for days, if not weeks about this attempt by a slice of the viewing audience trying to insert their perspective onto the show, and finally reacted. Most people would have been much more direct about it.
So exhaustion and being hungover is an acceptable reason to act unprofessionally and mock a part of the fandom? There are much better ways to address issues, or have their PR address issues, with a very small subset of problematic fandom than to make snarky and blanket statements in retaliation. This is just my opinion and I know they are human, but they have to also understand that they are in a public space representing their employer and will be scrutinized for how they present themselves and the tone and messaging that they are sending out.
Supergirl was a great female superhero show when it was on CBS, and when it moved to the CW I was excited to see crossovers between their other DC TV shows. But then the second season was bittersweet because Kara became a background character in her own show to a misogynistic slave owner, but conversely Sanvers became a thing. Once Mon-El got kicked off of Earth I was really hopeful for Supercorp as well as Kara as a character since it seemed that she was back to her optimistic season one self. But now, not only do I feel less excited with speculation about Mon-El's return, but Floriana's disappearance from the main cast as well as the lack of Sanvers mention in this video angers me. And as a cast of a TV show who is literally only at Comic Con because of their fans, this cast sure does a great job of making them feel awful for having opinions about it. (Except you, Katie. You're doing great, sweetie.) A lot of their viewers came from the existence of LGBT+ representation, and the homophobic mockery, their absence of acknowledgement of the only canon LGBT ship, as well as shaming of such a big portion of fans is so disappointing and unprofessional.
you know what this felt like? sitting at lunch with my group of "friends" and them laughing their asses off because of some mean joke I didn't get and feeling so weird asking myself what the hell was I doing with these people. I swear, all those laughs bring such bad memories.
@@kylie3112 lmfaooo nah facts, they saying it’s just a joke but to me that Jeremy guy seemed like he was FEEENING to say that they never gonna get together 😂😂😂 like he was waiting his whole life to emphasize that they just friends, and I can see why people were getting offended. Me personally, I just started watching the show this year so all the seasons are up on Netflix Exocet 6 so I’m not really attached to any of the ships like that so I don’t really mind who supergirl gets with, but everyone’s ships do matter and I feel they were being unprofessional
darthman vader my comment stands. mocking a f/f ship (canon or not) the way they did is a lack of respect for all lgbt fans of the show regardless of ship.
darthman vader Imo, Sanvers is rather shallow in terms of development and screen time. I wasn't much of a fan and preferred SC. Mostly because it reminded me of Buffy and Faith / Xena and Gabrielle. I'm not exactly happy about this stupid song but what really killed my excitement for season 3 is Kara questioning "Kara Danvers". If I wanted SuperBrood, I'd watch BvS Ultimate Edition again
let's get her in a show with a lovely supportive cast, fully well-rounded characters, and writers that don't flip flop on the message of the show. i'm thinking Wynonna Earp
I'm ready to see her front and center on a show. I don't count Slasher because that was...not great to put it politely. I think if given the right material with the right directors, producers, cast etc., Katie would shine in a show of her own.
yeah. she would.! was she the only person in the room who was not drunk beside odette btw Everyone seemed a bit more over the top goofy ball than cute goofy ball like usually...
istg if the made supercorp canon their ratings would go 📈📈📈 because a lot of people stopped watching cuz they keep forcing kara into relationships that have no chemistry.
The thing that bothers me about these comments is some people trying to brush off the people who speak out about the things that were disrespectful in this, you may not agree but listen to your argument, some people are trying to say things like "you're ignoring that they already have lgbt representation" as if we should excuse everything they do because they gave us one couple, as if we shouldn't complain because they gave us something, as if it's weird to ask for more, we got one couple that has been confirmed that next season, one half of the couple won't even be a season regular anymore I'm just disturbed that people are using this attitude of YOU'VE ALREADY GOT SOMETHING, STOP TRYING TO GET MORE as if we haven't had to deal with every hetero pairing they could fit in with always a possibility of more to come, also having to deal with the fact that even though we've accepted that there's a low chance of it actually happening(becoming canon), we're still not happy with what the show has done, most of us plainly don't like Mon-El as a character and would be perfectly content with Kara and James (which not to forget that they built that up to throw him to the side for a disrespectful white guy who got a pass for every bad thing he's ever said or did since "he's learning")(also add that little fact to the whole J'onn/M'gann thing where they built up something that would be great and then sent M'gann away) And to address the other excuse(the actors have all been attacked by supercorp fans): Stop assuming this entire fanbase is toxic, we're not, we can't help that there's terrible people in the fandom who blatantly disrespect the actors, most of us generally avoid those people (there's a whole group of people who are plain disrespectful who most of us do our best to avoid) and we don't support their behavior, stop thinking the majority is toxic, because actually a lot of them are just nice people providing to a fandom who support something they know have a low chance of actually becoming canon and they're really cool people and most of the toxic part of our fandom only shows through because of toxic karamel fans who rile them up and sometimes they can't just sit back and listen to people disregarding/disrespecting them (like some of the cast in this video) and then others use that to represent all of us, sorry for ranting, this subject just bothers me in how people think our fandom is toxic and don't even point out how other parts of the supergirl fandom are just as bad and sometimes worse, we just want to live in our fantasy world in peace instead of being put down by actors we looked up to, that's all, just take into consideration how you'd feel if people you looked up to made fun of something you were passionate about knowing that many people, not just you, love it, it hurts...
Dasia Zientek Amazing explanation, Preach 👏 Its like we need a poll and percentages of the Supercorp fandom to see how many of us ACTUALLY comment the extreme negativity to show that we aren't all toxic, smh.
This really was very embarrassing and felt insulting to watch. It isnt about them not being headcanon or anything. It was more about the way they mocked over it in that song. And the also how Mel was laughing so hard over it & Win singing it harshly. Its fine it not being a canon, the shippers have accepted it & are living in their fics and imagination. But such mature & talented actors, acting so childish. Really feeling disappointed and disheartened. Didn't expect so low from them here. Loved Katie, she is a pure sunshine ❤️

What if a little gay kid that loves supergirl and the cast and Lena and kara, and they see this video of their idols screaming about how Lena and kara is invalid and the rest are laughing at it. Edit: I'm NOT saying that the show has NO representation. I'm talking about the way the actors behave. Different people have different reactions and sensitivity to the actions of others, just cause you aren't affected does not mean that the person beside you is the same. What I'm talking about is the behaviour of actual, living people and not what the show represents.
Cabello Jauregui But you ARE represented on the show. Hello.. We're just gonna act like the beautiful story of Sanvers didn't happen? But still this doesn't excuse their behavior though.
You don't want to get it, do you? Have a little empathy! It's not abt the show here, but abt how the actors behave. They mock a gay fandom. Grown ups can maybe handle that, but for teens who just look for support, validation & representation it's like being laughed at in school for being gay. And if you think gays aren't allowed to ship a pair they like just bc there is a canon one, then that's just arrogant. You have at least 2 or more ships on every show you can ship. So if one is not your cup of tea you just ship another. Nothing is wrong with shipping a subtext ship. LGBT ppl did this for ages, bc there was nothing else to relate too.
Says the I suppose straight person who has lots of ships on every show to choose from. What would you do, if you only had one & you can't relate to those ppl? You are clearly not used to ship subtext ships. Gays do that since ages. And it's ok to do so. And no one acts like Sanvers didn't happen. Except the cast who left them out of their recap ;)
I don’t see the problem with what The song was saying. Jeremy was just staying how they are friends, not that he’s against lesbians. You can still believe this ship if you want, he was just stating what happened in the show. I honestly love Jeremy and I realize how people can get mad if they shipped Supercorp but still, he didn’t do anything, really, that wrong.
No, she’s just the only one not really doing anything other than keeping to herself. She’s showing no personality. She may have one but it doesn’t show here nor many other interviews. The ones singing and playing around would be fun to spend a day with though.
This was amazing and hilarious and they did nothing wrong. They literally just said that Kara and Lena are just friends, which is a canon fact. They didn't say lesbian relationships suck or that they're not valid. They didn't say the LGBT community is stupid or not valid. They didn't say anything disrespectful at all. People have blown this up out of proportion because they're mad that the show hasn't given them what they want. These are the same people that have spent the last year sending hate to the writers for not giving them what they want. These are the same people that conveniently forget that SG already has a beautiful f/f relationship, which for sure would've been talked about more if Chyler had been able to come (she had family commitments btw). These are the same people that throw around the word "abusive" like it's candy, further diluting that word for those that have experienced abuse in real life. These are the same people that have mocked Chris Wood for his appearance for months. These are the same people that made wild assumptions about Melissa's personal life when they don't know her at all. These are the same people that literally encouraged others to act disrespectfully towards Chris at SDCC, one even going as far as saying that they wanted someone to kill him at SDCC. These are now the people playing the victim by taking what they "supposedly" knew already (that Kara and Lena are just friends) and twisting that to make it look like the cast somehow disrespected and invalidated the entire LGBT community. Talk about first world problems. There are LGBT people in the world that are literally getting beheaded for being LGBT, but sure, let's get offended over a line in a silly song stating that two women are just friends. I am disgusted. Please put down your phones and go out in the world and educate yourself. Witness the absolute horrors that others have to go through every single day while you sit in your comfortable home bitching about a TV show. Entertainment is a PRIVILEGE, not a right. You're not entitled to anything. If you want a story to be a certain way, then by all means enroll yourself in film school and make your own shows and movies exactly how you want and make all the characters LGBT. Otherwise, it's not your story to tell. We've gotten to the point where we cannot appreciate other people's work for what it is - their view, their idea, their perspective - because we feel the need to take it and control it, and twist it so that it's OUR view, OUR idea, OUR perspective. What is the point then?? Anyways I'm going to keep on loving and supporting this show and cast. It's heartwarming and a beautiful story about growing up and changing for the better and inspiring people. ✌
Why are people working so hard to start drama. When Jeremy said they are only friends, she started hysterically laughing. She wasn’t awkward about it. Everyone is trying to start drama and it’s ridiculous. Let the cast joke around and have fun
This was just disgusting to see, mostly because of that song, but props to Katie (you know, the one who was actually being professional here) for what she said and for remaining respectful
if you love chris wood, be glad he didn't laugh for most of it when the rest were laughing about supercorp. i mean he laughed until he stated about the sexuality thing and then stated it was sarcasm. and katie was trying to not be rude and stuff. damn i stanned katie ever since merlin man
Okay, supergirl fandom: GET OFF YOUR HIGH HORSE! I'm bisexual. But I realize that the writers of the show don't owe us ANYTHING. Kara is STRAIGHT. It was literally established from the very FIRST episode when she told Winn "I'm not gay." I don't have an issue with people shipping supercorp. Do what you want to do. But when you start acting like it's disrespectful to add a love interest like Mon El, who is a flawed character, and has a character ark where he has to learn how to adjust to earth, much unlike the lifestyle he lived on daxam. If you don't like his character, okay. But again, saying it's misogynistic for the writers to add his character as a love interest is honestly just ignorant as to how writing works. They wanted a character who would be inferior to Kara in many ways so that she could make the transition of new rookie in season 1 to an experienced hero in season 2. Their romance forms through her mentorship of him. Thoughts on the video: THEY HAD FUN, OKAY! They decided to poke a little fun at the big phenomenon of supercorp shippers. It was a JOKE. I'm bisexual, again, I don't take any offense to this. Y'all seriously do need to take a joke about your own community and see your faults lol. I see people commenting on Chris Wood's Instagram to: "go choke and die" This is getting toxic if it were or already. In general, the supergirl fandom needs to learn that writers of tv shows don't owe them anything. They don't need to change a straight character gay. That would be a terrible storyline and terrible writing and would be unfortunate since Maggie and Alex's story has been handled so well. I love this show, and instead of fighting over trivial things that the actors said in a goofy interview, we should be sharing our love of the show.
Thank you, Kate, for being the only person with more than two functional brain cells in this video. Thanks for talking about a gay ship like any straight ship and not treat it as something weird . I appreciate you ❤
ok it has nothing to do with sexuality, they aren't homophobic, just bc a ship is queer doesnt make it true or a good relationship. Actually treacting it like any other relationshiop is recognizing that its possible that its not there
Everyone's saying that Katie was uncomfortable and stuff when they said that Supercorp were only friends, but she was also laughing like the rest of the cast so everyone needs to just calm down
my thoughts: - most people knew that it was a non-canon ship that wasn't going to happen - BUT, that doesn't give actors the right to completely mock that ship - i understand that this was a joke, but it was really going too far - odette, david & katie seemed really uncomfortable throughout the song and it's obvious that they were trying to save the situation, but awkwardly laughed in the moment - katie is such a classy lady, i love her so much - i wish chy was here to tone this shit down, because chyler worked for almost a year to get that representation on screen, but when she's not there; it's all fun and games and the cast just begins to make fun of a non-canon wlw ship
Applez Beez they are all fictional characters. Both haters AND the cast are in the wrong. You guys, for sending hate and taking it too seriously, and the cast because yeah, it hurt fans. Sure. BUT THEY ARE FICTIONAL CHARACTERS.

I don't think he was trying to be rude, he just either not thinking it through or was swinging for funny and didn't land for lots of people...idk
we knew it was never gonna be canon but to drag it this hard? jeez well thats overdoing it like its a good ship let us ship in our corner of tumblr with our fanfics and fan art you don't have to fucking yell
heelee fill in blank to proceed Not even to mention it is THE biggest ship for the show at the current moment. Most of the fan ads are LGBTQ+ members and I have a feeling that they lost at least half of those viewers
yeah i get shipping non canon ships bc i have follow posts on that ship but honestly some people ship then way too much like one tumblr account called mon el racist(why tho) but no all only some
Ok but how is this disrespectful? They're just saying it won't happen in a fun, entertaining way. Not once did they say anything bad about the LGBT community.
It was disrepectful because it was so out of context, abrupt, and unnecessary. It was not homophobic, but yelling about a ship that people feel for passionately, especially an lgbtq one that most fans already know won't happen, just feels like a punch in the gut. Even if it wasn't directly harmful and ultimately a joke, getting screamed at about something you feel passionate about that isn't hurting anybody doesn't feel good, and it was certainly unprofessional. Nonetheless, everyone is entitled to their feelings.
@@kylie3112 They never said the fandom can’t ship them, they just said it won’t be canon because canonically they’re just friends. Jeremy didn’t somehow take away your ability to write or draw, make some fanart or write a fanfic of Supercorp if you want.
“Daxam, Daxam! We live in a cool place. You wanna have a good time? Come on over to my place!” Because slaves, misogyny and oppression is so much fun! This was disgusting. Don't even get me started with all the homophobia in that song and in these comments..... Edit: I find it hilarious that there are heterosexuals who will never experience homophobia or be able to fully understand how harmful this song was, telling me that my gay ass whom is currently living in a homophobic environment; doesn't have the right to say what is and isn't homophobic. There has quite literally been thousands of people from the LGBTQ+ community who aren't even fans of the show or supercorp shippers speaking up about how wrong the part about Kara and Lena is. News flash to you heterosexuals attacking me; if thousands of gay people are saying something is homophobic; IT. IS. HOMOPHOBIC. There are also people trying to justify Daxam and the song about it, but I'm honestly too disgusted to write about how wrong it is to be slave owner apologists
"""Homophobia""" -- because the cast doesn't like your crackship? Alex and Maggie are there, and very canon. Kara isn't gay. her sister is. Neither of those things is bad. And neither of those things will change. You can choose not to tune in, since people sending death threats to the actors didn't make them pursue SC.
blissinchains *HOMOPHOBIA* -- because the cast shouldn't talk about what people ship and make fun of it. I'm in 454343 fandons and many of them ship gay couples and I never saw something so disrepectfull like this. *HOMOPHOBIA* because they are laughing of a gay couple but it would be okay if they were talking about a straight couple.
The actors don't need to like it. NO ONE said that, but just be respectful instead of mocking & laughing abt the fans & ship. I'm so tired of these sorts of derailing. NO ONE expects Supercorp to become canon! Believe me, gays know that very well, they are used to shipping fanon ships which they know will never happen on TV. Just bc there IS one canon couple now, ppl don't have to ship them. I guess you wouldn't like it if ppl told you to like a special ship just bc it's the only one you canonically get. Yeah, we are so ungrateful if we didn't take what's given us! (Don't get me wrong I like Sanvers a lot - this is just a general statement) Nothing wrong with doing what we did since ages - shipping crack ships.... who inspire us. And this is not about whether or not Supercorp happens on the show. This is solely abt the way the actors reacted here. Death threads are horrible & also normally only done by the bad apples of fandoms. This again has nothing to do with the real issue here & the generalization is stigmatising a whole fandom. Thanks for that. And lastly: "Don't like, don't watch" is just such a cheap killer argument to block any discussions!
He literally just said: "They're only friends, they're not gonna get together, they're only friends?", and suddenly that's homophobic? Geez, people call everything homophobic these days.
I watched this to see what all the outrage was about. Seriously? This is what has you all up in arms? " They're only friends "? And Jeremy Jordan is suddenly a raging homophobe who deserves to be fired, and already has several fanfics depicting Winn's horrible death???
I honestly didn't want to address this, but this has gotten way out of hand. As a black lesbian woman, I have been blatantly disrespected whether it has been behind my back or right to my face for something I cannot control, no matter how hard I tried. But people are taken what happened way out of hand. First and for most, as someone who has followed this cast since it started, anyone with half a brain would realize this was not meant to offend anyone. If this has hurt you I am deeply sorry, but leaving hate on anyone's IG pages or Twitter because they are "hurt", has never been okay. I have read comments where fans talk about being disrespected and yet tell another human being to kill themselves and how their career is ended. Are you serious right now? Being a part of the LGBTQ+ community should have showed you that words hurt. Honestly, if you didn't like what happened, you can tell them, but being disrespectful will not help our situation or make it better. I disagree with most of you and I hope that you get thicker skin because this is ridiculous. P.S. Why would anyone apologize after receiving hate from thousands of people for just saying the truth? Yeah, I know I wouldn't. By the way I fucking LIVE for Supercorp, but I realize that it will never be canon, so I read fanfics all day. I suggest you do the same. I however will mention that people make mistakes and that what was said shouldn't have been said, but sometimes people not in our community don't realize how hurtful shit like this can be...
@@TheFrosty-bb7jz we're bullies? really? I've been called stupid and the d word for shipping supercorp and I simply just said that I think Kara and Lena would make a cute couple, that's it, never insulted anyone nor said anything offensive and for it I get dragged
Lmao I was told in my face every freaking day for three years that faberry would never be canon and I never not once defamed the lead actress for saying they were only friends.People have blown this out of proportion, Mel has stated before that if it makes you happy then ship it! literally no one is telling you DON'T SHIP THEM they're just telling you that's not the direction the show is going to take. This is ridiculous and disgusting all this nonsense and hate on social media has to stop.
I just wanted to say, before I went into this video I was expecting fun banter between the cast of one of my favourite shows. I am 15 years old and part of the LGBT+ community (somewhere, not entirely sure where yet) and this video crushed me. I love Sanvers (I cried when Alex came out) and I've always shipped supercorp, and to see these people who I admired laughing and making fun of fans, fans like me, who understand that a show on a channel like the CW obviously isn't going to have more than one f/f relationship, is just horrible. So thank you cast of Supergirl, for making fun of me and blatantly ignoring our struggle for representation.
Mikayla Toyne They weren't making fun of you as an individual or ANY LGBT+ human being. They were simply stating that Supercorp is not and will not happen. They weren't mean or demeaning. They were laughing and playing around with things that did and did NOT happen in season 2. If one of them were to say supercorp is "ridiculous" or "pathetic" THAT would be different. That would be insensitive! That would be wrong! They did not. You can ship whoever you want. That's great, in fact I would love a little supercorp action myself. (: BUT If you want to pick through every little thing a bunch of HUMAN BEINGS say who are apart of an amazing and beautiful show, then do it. Do you. You're just seriously over complicating a situation that was full of laughs and love.
I know it's 3 years later but sending you virtual hugs and love. This moment was messed up and you were valid in how you felt I'm sorry the asshat that replied tried to make you feel like you weren't. Much love 💜
@@bimar469 they were stating their opinion not a fact. The cast never made fun of any fans. I’m also a part of the LGBTQ community and never shipped supercorp. I mean I’d be fine if it did happen but was ok that it didn’t as well. That’s my opinion just like the original commentor had their opinion. But the cast absolutely did not make fun or disrespect any fans. I mean it’s not like they wrote the show.
Standing ovation for Katie McGrath for her speech about we can ship whoever we want to ship. I respect supercorp shippers because one, I have non canon ships too, and two, they just don't deserve anything less than that. I just have a problem with shippers spreading angst all around them, insulting actors and so on. I think if they're not really into supercorp it's because of the negativity it created.
Chris is right, Kara isn't gay just because fans want to project a sexuality onto her. Frankly, it is offensive to say she should change who she is based on outside perception. Haven't we spent a long time as a society trying to establish a baseline understanding that one's sexuality is part of who they are and shouldn't be changed through outside forces? And saying a non-canon relationship isn't going to happen isn't homophobic just because some fans of the non-canon ship have tied their sexuality to a non-existent storyline and then bullied the cast and crew trying to get characters to change who they are to suit their fantasies. Assuming all bothersome Supercorp shippers are young gay women is just that an assumption. A lot of Destiel shippers were female and many straight. The cast's comments weren't filtered through the lens of many of those offended who assumed the cast was renouncing their fantasies on a personal level, that's not how people work. The cast's comments come from their life experience (including interacting with fans who can't understand their own personal sexuality or private boundaries or can't accept that a storyline that doesn't fit the show isn't going to happen), not their audiences' life experiences which they have no prior knowledge of. This overreaction needs to stop. And people need to start looking at other people's point of view. Jordan did. Now can the internet trolls try to follow an adult's lead?
its like they were trying to over compensate for the fact that chyler wasnt there. the energy or something felt...shifted or idk. Katie and odette barely spoke it felt like David seemed half way between bored and amused and everyone seemed little drunk honestly...
It's ok for supercorp fans to send death threats to Chris 24/7, to disrespect him constantly but as soon as y'all hear supercorp ain't never gonna happen then they are homophobic. They owe you NOTHING! The show WILL continue without you guys. I'm sorry but threatening someone's life trumps a ship not happening. You wouldn't be crying if it was Karamel they were singing about. There are so many REAL LBGT issues in this world we should be addressing not bitching about characters on a show. Super girl is one of the CW shows that was fortunate enough to have a gay couple, we should be celebrating that. As a gay black woman I'm saying SUPERCORP is not happening!! Grow up and dueces to the people who don't like what I have to say or are not sticking around for Season 3. This show will survive without you.... Fandom wars have gotten way to out of control, and that's what this is a bunch of shippers taking a opening and using it for their own personal gain to try and make a unrealistic ship happen. As you can tell I'm pissed you guys have seriously crossed the line with the homophobic accusations over a ship. Bring it back to the real world and focus on the people out here who really need that support.
Amelia not every person that is a shipper does that , only desperated people maybye , and it's not okay to loop in other people because of it and blame it on the whole fandom
The thing that impressed me the most out of this interview is how Jeremy did it with the full knowledge that the "joke" was offensive and would "get destroyed" for "debunking Supercorp" to then turn around and issue an "apology" about how hurtful the LGBT community is being to him when he did it by "accident". Brotha, you knew exactly what you were doing, and to turn it around on the fandom and say they are the hurtful ones because they are making you feel bad on purpose is so low that I honestly can't care about your entire career as an LGBT "ally". Today you were not an ally, your actions of the past do not erase the amount of anger and mockery that you put behind your words during that musical recap and your apology is nothing but you putting the blame on the community for reacting exactly as you expected them to. I am beyond disappointed with this cast. You all should be ashamed of yourselves.
Jeremy Jordan did not say a single word that was homophobic in this entire interview. Saying that two characters were not in a relationship is not being homophobic. He did not say that being gay was bad. He did not say that shipping was wrong. He did absolutely nothing wrong. If you could point out a single moment where Jeremy was being intentionally disrespectful towards the LGBTQA+ community, then I'd change my opinion. But from what I can see, he said nothing wrong. Besides, may I point out that Jeremy works in Musical Theatre, a workplace in which it is very hard to be homophobic, as you are practically surrounded by people part of the LGBTQA+ community. From the way I see it, Jeremy Jordan did not say a single word that could be offensive in anyway.

There's already Maggie & Alex; why should Kara and Lena have to be lovers too? Both ladies are straight.
Katie is to pure
They forgot Alex existed as a character in the song... rude.
Because it was a serious recap
katie sweetie i am SO sorry
No Jeremy is the one that need the apology
@@random.stuff_. I seen you in almost every comment😂, do you hate the supercorp ship or something? The whole dynamic of shows these days is being able to ship multiple people and create fandoms, and that fandom just felt offended by the comments of the actors. Some people got offended some didn’t, but that don’t mean people who got offended had no reason to
7:01 if u wanna skip to Katie!!
Thankssss
Nope I'd rather see the whole thing cause Jeremy is speaking facts and it's all reality 💯
gotta love that homophobia. bless katie for being the only open minded educated person there
Jedi Master sure and she was laughing at all the song:) this fandom is so hypocrite
Jedi Master if you knew anything about Jeremy and things that have happened in his family, you'd know he wasn't a homophobe. This is not a term to throw around. Especially on someone who you don't know.
you don't tell a lgbt person what is considered homophobia and what is not
she literally defended and validated fans afterwards so shush
he might be an ally but even allies can have homophobic moments. also you don't get to decide what I, a member of the community, find to be homophobic or not. homophobia comes in different ways and levels. you can support the lgbt community and still do homophobic things occasionally
It has nothing more to say after your comment. At least there are still sensible people in the world. Congrats.
1:you can tell the cast was out of control.
2:katie saved everybody.
3:I can see why people are getting mad and asking for an explanation and I totally understand but I really like this show so don't cancle it this show brings me and my cousin together and we never get to see each other but when we do watch this and it makes us feel empowered and like a supergirl
And I love that feeling
Please dont cancle #thankskatie
welp. at least I have Katie and Chyler
That's good cause the rest of the cast here is still awesome and have a sense of humor 😀
Oh c'mon, it's funny!
This confirms Katie is our SuperCorp wingwoman or something
Okay but did anyone else hear mel singing "a girlfriend!" around 1:39? Just noticed it and I'm dead lmao.
From this video, we can differentiate the boys from men...
you know what this felt like? sitting at lunch with my group of "friends" and them laughing their asses off because of some mean joke I didn't get and feeling so weird asking myself what the hell was I doing with these people. I swear, all those laughs bring such bad memories.
It was just a joke
Here three years later to apologize for the two assholes that responded.
Why are they talking about sexuality when they're all straight.... big silence
nathanp2007 they're straight 💀
you have literally no way to know that they are all straight.
Elizabeth R yeah i do. Only straight people are that stupid
wow
Ju Jasmin so you're hating on them because they supposedly are "bashing on the lgbt community" when you just called all straight people stupid? 🤔
Can we just free Katie like just let her be free let's not drag her down with this shit storm

KAY _XX Let's put her on Wynonna Earp or Legends of Tomorrow.
Miranda Miller, make her the Supergirl member of the Legends team, that would be so fucking cool
Raven Holt what would she do
#KatieForCatwoman in Gotham Sirens
It was just a joke and Jeremy was right. Kara and Lena are just friends. Also people need to chill out. It is not that serious. Crying over nothing.
Jesus. Imagine hating your lgbt fan base this much...
are they thought or are you forgetting the REAl LGBT couple sanvers or is SC all that matters to you a
darthman vader my comment stands. mocking a f/f ship (canon or not) the way they did is a lack of respect for all lgbt fans of the show regardless of ship.
darthman vader Imo, Sanvers is rather shallow in terms of development and screen time.
Imagine having a group in your fandom constantly attacking actors and then wanting to play victims.
joseph robinson so that makes it okay for grown ass adults to mock lgbt fans.... your math isn't adding up
Please save Katie McGrath from this shitshow
let's get her in a show with a lovely supportive cast, fully well-rounded characters, and writers that don't flip flop on the message of the show. i'm thinking Wynonna Earp
Raven Holt good choice
please god let the angry people on Twitter not come for her or chyler.
#freekatiemcgrath2017
or something like that...
I'm ready to see her front and center on a show. I don't count Slasher because that was...not great to put it politely. I think if given the right material with the right directors, producers, cast etc., Katie would shine in a show of her own.
yeah. she would.!
was she the only person in the room who was not drunk beside odette btw
Everyone seemed a bit more over the top goofy ball than cute goofy ball like usually...
istg if the made supercorp canon their ratings would go 📈📈📈 because a lot of people stopped watching cuz they keep forcing kara into relationships that have no chemistry.
They would make so much money and twitter and tumblr would go crazy.i dont understand why they dont make it canon
and it would also trend more. Kara and Lena are the only show pairing that ever went viral on twitter, not even Karamel or Sanvers ever did that
ehh i feel like its the toxic lena stans who send ppl death threats for not shipping supercorp
The thing that bothers me about these comments is some people trying to brush off the people who speak out about the things that were disrespectful in this, you may not agree but listen to your argument, some people are trying to say things like "you're ignoring that they already have lgbt representation" as if we should excuse everything they do because they gave us one couple, as if we shouldn't complain because they gave us something, as if it's weird to ask for more, we got one couple that has been confirmed that next season, one half of the couple won't even be a season regular anymore
I'm just disturbed that people are using this attitude of YOU'VE ALREADY GOT SOMETHING, STOP TRYING TO GET MORE as if we haven't had to deal with every hetero pairing they could fit in with always a possibility of more to come, also having to deal with the fact that even though we've accepted that there's a low chance of it actually happening(becoming canon), we're still not happy with what the show has done, most of us plainly don't like Mon-El as a character and would be perfectly content with Kara and James (which not to forget that they built that up to throw him to the side for a disrespectful white guy who got a pass for every bad thing he's ever said or did since "he's learning")(also add that little fact to the whole J'onn/M'gann thing where they built up something that would be great and then sent M'gann away)
And to address the other excuse(the actors have all been attacked by supercorp fans):
Stop assuming this entire fanbase is toxic, we're not, we can't help that there's terrible people in the fandom who blatantly disrespect the actors, most of us generally avoid those people (there's a whole group of people who are plain disrespectful who most of us do our best to avoid) and we don't support their behavior, stop thinking the majority is toxic, because actually a lot of them are just nice people providing to a fandom who support something they know have a low chance of actually becoming canon and they're really cool people and most of the toxic part of our fandom only shows through because of toxic karamel fans who rile them up and sometimes they can't just sit back and listen to people disregarding/disrespecting them (like some of the cast in this video) and then others use that to represent all of us, sorry for ranting, this subject just bothers me in how people think our fandom is toxic and don't even point out how other parts of the supergirl fandom are just as bad and sometimes worse, we just want to live in our fantasy world in peace instead of being put down by actors we looked up to, that's all, just take into consideration how you'd feel if people you looked up to made fun of something you were passionate about knowing that many people, not just you, love it, it hurts...
Dasia Zientek this exactly this
Dasia Zientek Amazing explanation, Preach 👏
Its like we need a poll and percentages of the Supercorp fandom to see how many of us ACTUALLY comment the extreme negativity to show that we aren't all toxic, smh.

Dasia Zientek THANK YOU. My god.
Dasia Zientek this ++++
This really was very embarrassing and felt insulting to watch.

@@random.stuff_. Oh yeah ofcourse its a joke to you. But that doesnt mean there aint other category people for whom it actually is bad worder & seems offensive. So stop justifying acts, you are invalidating actual emotions here. Stop being a police patrol of internet for invalidating stuff.
@@maddymahool3828 yo they're making a Jake about FICTIONAL CHARACTERS OF A TV SHOW. THEY ARE NOT INTENTIONALLY TRYING TO GO OUT THEIR WAY TO HURT ANYONE. Especially those of the lgbtq community. its not that deep
i don’t think melissa really cares if you look at her other interviews she laughs at EVERYTHING so i don’t think she was being homophobic at all
What if a little gay kid that loves supergirl and the cast and Lena and kara, and they see this video of their idols screaming about how Lena and kara is invalid and the rest are laughing at it.
Edit: I'm NOT saying that the show has NO representation. I'm talking about the way the actors behave. Different people have different reactions and sensitivity to the actions of others, just cause you aren't affected does not mean that the person beside you is the same. What I'm talking about is the behaviour of actual, living people and not what the show represents.
gay penguins Then that little kid needs to learn how to find fanfiction.
gay penguins you act like the show has zero lgbt representation.
Cabello Jauregui But you ARE represented on the show. Hello.. We're just gonna act like the beautiful story of Sanvers didn't happen? But still this doesn't excuse their behavior though.
You don't want to get it, do you? Have a little empathy! It's not
abt the show here, but abt how the actors behave. They mock a gay fandom.
Grown ups can maybe handle that, but for teens who just look for support, validation & representation it's like being laughed at in
school for being gay.
I honestly love Jeremy and I realize how people can get mad if they shipped Supercorp but still, he didn’t do anything, really, that wrong.
katie is the only respectful person in this video

What about Odette?
And Melissa?
No, she’s just the only one not really doing anything other than keeping to herself. She’s showing no personality. She may have one but it doesn’t show here nor many other interviews. The ones singing and playing around would be fun to spend a day with though.

WHAT TIME STAMP?

i've been searching for that comment
Why are people working so hard to start drama. When Jeremy said they are only friends, she started hysterically laughing. She wasn’t awkward about it. Everyone is trying to start drama and it’s ridiculous. Let the cast joke around and have fun
When Jeremy said that it's never gonna happen it reminded me of the time that I was told that my best friend is never going to love me back.
Okay so let's cancel supergirl and have a spinoff of Lena Luthor

Can we just appreciate Katie losing her shit in the back while the cast was singing the recap of season 2 😂
I see people commenting on Chris Wood's Instagram to: "go choke and die"
This is getting toxic if it were or already.
Welcome to the generation of SJW.
Anna Baker Can I marry your comment?
bUT Maggie herself said you'd be surprise don how many gay people I heard say that. :)))
Thank you, Kate, for being the only person with more than two functional brain cells in this video. Thanks for talking about a gay ship like any straight ship and not treat it as something weird
. I appreciate you ❤
ok it has nothing to do with sexuality, they aren't homophobic, just bc a ship is queer doesnt make it true or a good relationship. Actually treacting it like any other relationshiop is recognizing that its possible that its not there

sam aldred yes exactly except all the cast wanted bechloe to happen and the supergirl cast apparently really don’t want supercorp to happen
Katie seems like the only mature one out of all the cast members. I can definitely see why they've been getting a lot of hate. :/
Everyone's saying that Katie was uncomfortable and stuff when they said that Supercorp were only friends, but she was also laughing like the rest of the cast so everyone needs to just calm down
Chris wasn't laughing
@@TheFrosty-bb7jz true but then he said something about sexuality which he soon said was just sarcasm but it didn't sound like it
my thoughts:
- most people knew that it was a non-canon ship that wasn't going to happen
- BUT, that doesn't give actors the right to completely mock that ship
- i understand that this was a joke, but it was really going too far
- odette, david & katie seemed really uncomfortable throughout the song and it's obvious that they were trying to save the situation, but awkwardly laughed in the moment
- katie is such a classy lady, i love her so much
- i wish chy was here to tone this shit down, because chyler worked for almost a year to get that representation on screen, but when she's not there; it's all fun and games and the cast just begins to make fun of a non-canon wlw ship
Applez Beez they are all fictional characters. Both haters AND the cast are in the wrong. You guys, for sending hate and taking it too seriously, and the cast because yeah, it hurt fans. Sure.
BUT THEY ARE FICTIONAL CHARACTERS.

Come on guys. This is so blown out of proportion. Jeremy is a nice guy. Hes not JRoth. He doesn't deserve this.
we knew it was never gonna be canon but to drag it this hard? jeez well thats overdoing it like its a good ship let us ship in our corner of tumblr with our fanfics and fan art you don't have to fucking yell
heelee fill in blank to proceed
Not even to mention it is THE biggest ship for the show at the current moment. Most of the fan ads are LGBTQ+ members and I have a feeling that they lost at least half of those viewers
yeah i get shipping non canon ships bc i have follow posts on that ship but honestly some people ship then way too much like one tumblr account called mon el racist(why tho) but no all only some
+trashbagdottv mon-el is a literal slave-owner, so yes he's still a shitty person lmaoo
What is canon? 🤔
like legit , confirmed , written by the writers in the show
Ok but how is this disrespectful?
@@kylie3112
They never said the fandom can’t ship them, they just said it won’t be canon because canonically they’re just friends.
San Junipero ^^^^^^^^^^
👏👏👏👏👏
(Don't get me wrong I like Sanvers a lot - this is just a general statement)
Nothing wrong with doing what we did since ages - shipping crack ships.... who inspire us.
7:15 I love you Katie, and thank you. You're incredible babe
“ it fine I just want my broccoli” 😂😂😂😂
He literally just said: "They're only friends, they're not gonna get together, they're only friends?", and suddenly that's homophobic? Geez, people call everything homophobic these days.
It's not about that. If you want to educate yourself watch Sarah Z's video about queerbait. That's all.
@@amphalure I'm not sure the writers intended for supercorp to be a couple and idk
Ikr, he's just saying that he doesn't ship them
I watched this to see what all the outrage was about.
Seriously? This is what has you all up in arms? " They're only friends "? And Jeremy Jordan is suddenly a raging homophobe who deserves to be fired, and already has several fanfics depicting Winn's horrible death???
Linda Bandy I agree with you. (I'm kind of a Supercorp/Karamel Shipper
One month ago, Winn was officially left the show.
Neah_Clown HONEY PREACH ❤️🙏
Most of Sc shippers are bad people haters bullies then when someone say they are friends and all agree and you start playing the victims.
Mikayla Toyne
They weren't making fun of you as an individual or ANY LGBT+ human being. (:
BUT If you want to pick through every little thing a bunch of HUMAN BEINGS say who are apart of an amazing and beautiful show, then do it. Do you. You're just seriously over complicating a situation that was full of laughs and love.
I know it's 3 years later but sending you virtual hugs and love. This moment was messed up and you were valid in how you felt I'm sorry the asshat that replied tried to make you feel like you weren't. Much love 💜
Shut up snowflake
@@Chintukichachi what's wrong with you? She is absolutely right.
I think if they're not really into supercorp it's because of the negativity it created.
well, that happened :/
Honey... she's not real.
Katie is such a role model. I love her.
1:36 make 10 hours of Katie Mcgrath laughing plez
I miss Chy, she's funny for real, the rest of them, they're too much, it's kinda annoying.
They have become very cocky instead of funny. I agree.
Right?! I don't get this need to show that they're super happy and cool, I'd rather their support to **their** fans.
its like they were trying to over compensate for the fact that chyler wasnt there.
the energy or something felt...shifted or idk.
Katie and odette barely spoke it felt like
David seemed half way between bored and amused
and everyone seemed little drunk honestly...
yes. they were a little bit rowdy. they looked high to me. yep katie odette and david appeared more professional.
Miss Chy she would have not let it go down like that. She would have been on Katie's side.
HONEEEYYY YAAAASSS PREACH!!! ❤️🙏 i literally have to surf deep into the comments to find reasonable comments like this, thank you
Thank you so much for addressing this👏👏👏
Amelia not every person that is a shipper does that , only desperated people maybye , and it's not okay to loop in other people because of it and blame it on the whole fandom
The level of entitlement and immaturity in this fandom has put me completely off
please look back at this and say that you have changed your mind. this is extremely close minded
