also, love the fact you really been bopping and enjoyed the most & noticed the amazing details in ALL their songs on the show that were otherwise ranked lower ☺️
**THERE ARE LITERALLY NO WORDS IN MY ENGLISH VOCABULARY, THAT CAN DESCRIBE THIS GROUP!!!** I have also come to the conclusion, that Mitch is an Alien, from the planet of WTF 🙃 😊🙃 I truly love how Pentatonix will put their own spin on a song, yet still manage to keep the integrity & respect the original artist. I believe Marvin Gaye would be proud ❣❣❣
This was the moment where every other group knew it was over for them and they were all just going for second place. Just an incredible magical performance! There are actually 15 performances for that season. #12 was the mic drop for PTX, and was also the last judged performance. 13 & 14 were on the live finale show which were not judged but were voted on by the viewers. After 14 was when the champions were declared, then 15 was a final farewell performance afterwards.
Yup, after that, the rest of the groups left were just fighting for 2nd place. #12 was the final nail, I read on another reactors comments and I agree, #12 is where they released the Mitch beast. Nuf said
#10 was the one that left the rest of the groups fighting for second place. #11 was a fun show of their talent that actually encouraged their desire to do mashups. #12 was the GOAT.
I’ve been watch a program that had reaction to the sing off after each show. It was really interesting that in the first show they didn’t think much of PTX, but flipped in the middle of the season. They began commenting half way through the season that the other groups were trying to copy PTX tricks. They said the chat rooms were 5 to 1 comments about PTX vs any other group. Anyway it was interesting to hear people opinion without the 20 20 hindsight.
Seeing this as it aired in 2011 was a jaw-dropping experience. Like... that's it, just as you said. All the other remaining groups had many more members, yet it was their performances that sounded big and harmonically complete. My only worry was whether the national viewing public (which voted for the winner) would think the same as the judges. Luckily, it did! This was also (with all due admiration for Mitch's opening solo) pretty much their simplest arrangement. Just Scott solo, with the others backing him up. But for this song, that was the right choice.
This is my number two performance. I love their twelfth performance where everyone is awesome. Mitch shines, Scott slays, avi and Kevin are insane and kirstie holds it all together.
Mitch sings three notes and they get a standing ovation from the entire audience, 2 of the judges and at least one other contestant packed his bags that night. I'm joking of course. The standing ovation was earned by Scott who was really starting to lose his voice at this point and Kevin being fully dialed into that drumbeat. There is a audio battle between Avi and Kevin that is 100% worth it in 11, but the Mashup itself is so off the wall it's fun. There is also a really cool Trio moment in that one as well where Kirstie and Mitch are off key and Scott corrects them. So watch for that but you really need to listen to catch it
I SO agree with you on this. Scott was killing it every single week and barely got a mention after the first couple of weeks. I love me some Avi and Kevin too, but damn I wish Scott had gotten some more love from the judges especially on this one. He put everything he had into this and it was 🔥🔥🔥.
@@packerkats7578 I might be a bit biased. Scott is my favorite. I know most go for the others, but it is Scott for me all day long. His riffs are legendary.
For me, Scott is like the anchor... he often works below the surface, and his power is how he holds everyone else in place. Sure is great, though, when he comes to the surface and shines. That's when PTX really moves!
Mitch’s “wah-wah” at the beginning is, I’m sure, familiar to fans of their Bohemian Rhapsody cover, in which he used a megaphone for the guitar solo. Except, apparently, he didn’t?? I’ve since learned that it was just a fool-your-ears prop. Damn! Edit: The wah-wah reminded me: I’d love to hear them do Peter Frampton’s “Show Me the Way.” With Kevin *and* Mitch, I think they’d *kill* his “talkbox” effect!
You look very smart and your facial hair looks great, what did you do to it? I love your reactions and I was missing this one. I was so looking forward to it.
It's just shocking how good they were then and yet how much better they are now! No wonder they have had such success!
This is my favorite sing off song . I hear the smooth slides, Avi & Kevin perfect and Mitch's whoa, who's....... They nailed it 🤣❤️🤣🚐😜
& in a suit to match their vibe *chefskiss*

Lookin' fab! Love the jacket! Perfect attire for this song! Smoooooth! Always love your take on these! Keep them coming!
Make sure you also watch when they return to the show for the next seasons finale. I Need Your Love.
I love that performance! Shawn playing proud papa... and Avi gets a chance to do a real singing solo. Great energy all 'round.
YES!

What program are you watching? Genuinely interested.
@@packerkats7578 it is called Afterbuzz TV. It was often long and rambling.
@@annmc3878 Thanks. Long & rambling...Noted!
This was when us voters knew it was in the bag. Locked in. A done deal. I was hollering at the TV screen.

Stellar! Yup, you know at this point they are the winners. Loves It!!!!

I think they have around 19 million subscribers! Hard to imagine! BTW beard looking on point! Great reaction!
I love your personality and I loved this reaction.
He said 3 or 4 million subs 😭 try 19 MILLION😭😭 they’re so elite!
7 and 11 were my fav . I'm SUPER excited for your next sing off reaction
Yayyyyyyy thank you
Looking forward to the rest of the ptx journey 😀

Scott never get enough credit for his voice. Love Avi doing the bass too.

I agree. I don’t understand why he didn’t get a single word from the judges
Shawn was the original pentaholic 😂
And Shawn Stockman loses his mind!
Whoo yeah! I knew you’d love this one!
This is a good one
This was great, I think 11 was my 2nd fav of all of them. Looking forward to your reactions.

12 judged performances, then 2 non-judged performances during the finale.
