I am an actor and content creator with Hollywood credits including roles on Lucifer (Netflix), Starlight Christmas (Hallmark), JT Leroy (Universal Studios), etc. In this channel, I offer insight to Kpop performances using my 10+ years of training in dance, acting, singing and overall performance. In dance, my forte are contemporary and musicals and have done most of my performances in theatre. Although my channel is mostly known for dance analysis, I am currently inactive in the dance community.

Now that you dove deep into the choreo, I just realized that it is better to be a short song cause these poor girls are gonna suffer harder dancing to this song HUNDREDS OF TIMES.
and they dance in heels too, very impressive but i know that must've been so tiring

Why call them 'poor girls'. They love it and they are passionate. "Suffer harder" they are trained well and they can even sing it while dancing that dance. "Dancing to this song" ok so you dont like the song you can just say that. If the girls were to read that it will not cheer them in anyway its like youre not appreciating it. They dont need pity

idk if anyone said this but NMIXX's concept is exactly that, they say the genre of their songs is "mix pop" where they combine two genres in one song, also in their debut video you can see a sign that says "pick n' mix" which I think refers to this and also their group name :)

Everytime I see the first switch up, Kyujin (red hair) always gives me biiiiig Hyunjin vibes. This is a very Stray Kids section. Love it.
I suggest watching their live performances they're really good at singing live
you should totally watch more Nmixx stuffs, I stan a lot of groups but I gotta say Nmixx is one of the best groups in the industry right now talent wise. I'm saying this because not every one likes their songs tbh even me although O.O grew a lot on me but it's still not something I would choose to listen if I have to. But their talent? seriously they're insane, you have to watch their live performances for you to know because these girls are crazy stable. The most stable 4th gen group 100%. And even in their new song Dice, they dance this song with very high heels while maintaining their energy as well as being stable. I'm not even the biggest stan of them like I do with other groups. I haven't watched a lot of their variety stuffs except for their performances but they are really really talented. Their covers during pre debut days are also great. I lovee Lily and Haewon's cover of survivor. And they also covered ABC after debut and the harmonies are soooo good😭 I'd say they have the same level as A.C.E when it comes to harmonies. And we all know that there can't be a single performance of A.C.E without their harmonies. You know it yourself.
same thing here!! I stan(ed) a couple of 3rd gen groups but is slowly transitioning to just a casual fan, so now I'm just mostly enjoying the music and didn't care that much about most of 4th gen but holy wow NMIXX really is a bunch of talented girls. like you've mentioned, their stable vocals are insane and despite their songs that have been getting mixed reviews, them being able to pull it off with these choreographies are just incredible. I'm partially sad that most awards are based on sales and streams because if it's purely on talent and skill, they would no doubt come on top every time. enjoy seeing them so much and rooting for the best in their very bright future.

I was taken back a bit seeing the duration of the video of this one but I can't lie, after I started watching it didn't feel that long because of how informative everything mentioned is. as a casual Kpop fan & dance enjoyer (who learned a couple of them in my spare time), learning about these trivial yet educational things about dancing and performing from here is such a treat on top of already getting Jeff's reaction. felt kinda being reminded of why I subscribed to the channel in the first place ^^

The fact that he keeps talking about core ans legs strength, or how his tight and knees are burning already kinda make me 🥲🥲🥲 because have you seen those freaking high and heavy looking shoes they performed with on music shows?? I know they practiced a lot in those shoes but it's still kinda anxiety inducing somehow whenever I see them.
Ye and the girls said themselves seeing what they worked hard for feels very good. They feel like improving more. If youre trained enough it'll not be that hard on you. Just like how twice said how much they are used to it they memorize choreo in just a day or two

Nmixx’s entire thing is mixpop (petant thing for nmixx only) where they switch up the song, they did it in O.O aswell so they kinda started the ‘trend’ they didn’t follow it :))
they just named it, lots of groups (mostly under sme) had done it before them (ex. next level by aespa, igab by snsd)
