Glad to hear you enjoyed it, hopefully as much as I enjoy putting the videos together. Yes, the climb was brutal, pretty much all centred on that 25% section - either side of it I was getting slowly by. Still need to press on and gain confidence out of the saddle! Lower rpm, hardly moving forward it's all about balance- you feel like your just going to stop on tbe spot and fall sideways!
Ah this is an old but a goodie - Mow Cop! Yeah that climb is tough - been back since somewhere on the channel. A short, but satisfying climb. Thanks for watching.
Hi Liz, so how did you get on?! Tough right, I put my foot down on this sportive, but went up it again this year as part of a little get away from things and managed to keep on going. A real lung buster!
Thanks for watching Chris my old mucker. Have to get a ride in some time - let me know if and when you fancy that 200km! Talking of which it's Lincolnshire's Bomber County audax this weekend :)
i was relaxing into the video enjoying the suffering on the climb, i had headphones on and when you beeped out the swearing i jumped so hard lol, great video
@@BikepackingAdventures Thanks Richard. I have a 34 - 30 on my Wilier so hopefully I'll be able to get up it in a month or two ( after a 33 year layoff ).
this banana finds them really useful, some of the best action i've shot that way. however, been a few months now that i've just been using a regular handheld one, the wrist one's keep breaking. the best thing about them is no risk of dropping them!

Great to see you riding on a lot of my home roads, Mow Cop, Biddulph Moor & bastard Hill 😀. The 'killer mile' up Mow Cop is seriously horrendous!
Yeah I think I walked it in this sportive. I've been back since fully loaded and some how managed to keep on pedaling.
That climb looked brutal... especially as it brought you to a stand still. Great rid, great video. Thanks for sharing.

Mmmmm, pork pies for mid-ride snacks! I love driving over Biddulph Moor when I visit my Mum-in-Law. Thanks for the video.

Hehe sorry about that. Enjoying my suffering lol yeah definitely something to be gained from watching yourself back/watching how others try and cope.
That car was like... "ZERO fucks given!" Love it. I hate cycle wankers!
You've earned a sub for your efforts ; - ) Just wondering what gearing you had there on Mow Cop. Oh and what camera do you use, thanks.
Most likely 11-28 as I was riding on my Cube. The camera is GoPro Hero 5 Black. Thanks for the sub. 👍
