When I saw a physiotherapist, he did the initial consultation but did not explain what would be included in the treatment plan. Then he passed me to his assistant who is a kinesiologist who seemed to be the one designing the treatment plan exercises that only included strengthening and no flexibility exercises (which I also needed) and her medical knowledge was limited in that she could not understand the functional limitations of my injury. It became a messy situtation that I will never again choose a physiotherapist who works with an assistant.

do you think the work amount for a pharmacist in uni is more than a physio

Hmm I honestly couldn’t say, we would need some input from a pharmacist too but I think both parties would be biased towards their experiences

Hi Masud, I would like to ask which sector/area/field of physio makes up the highest percentage of the physio workforce in uk (ie. The field that offers most job opportunities). Please kindly guide me. Thanks

Hi Masud. how can I possibly get work experience with a physio ?

Hey Leciel, at the moment it’s quite hard because of the pandemic.
But if you try and reach out to MsK outpatient departments via phone and email that would be ideal to set up a couple of days of shadowing.
Similarly with a private practice, just ring them up and speak to them about it.
If they don’t get back to you, keep calling until you get an answer and don’t give up.

Hi Masud, I am thinking of applying for physiotherapist course in St George university and have only four days to apply but I am so unsure as my partner doesn’t like me massaging and being so touching other’s people . Do you recommend this for me?And plus I am 35 years old. Is it not too late?
I am currently team leader in retaining section but I am not enjoying it. I do appreciate your advice

Hi Shahrzad, there is no massage on the course but you will be in close contact with other people. It is apart of the job.
You can do it as I know previously people in similar situation who have done the same and now work with children or somewhere else.
Don’t give up if it’s what you want.
35 is young , I knew people on my course close to 50 .. you will be ok , but it is a lot of work - you have to be dedicated for 3 years of your life .
