You can’t expect them to think everyone is coming in and could be a champ. They hold 52 events a year, and have 550-700 fighters on their roster at any given time. Burgos’s contract is bigger but he isn’t making championship money solely based off the contract. If he wins the tournament and gets the million then he’d have that type of money. He got offered more from the PFL when he was a free agent years ago but turned it down because the opportunities you get from just being in the UFC and on a big stage. It's a slow drip, and Burgos isn't exactly the last straw. But as more and more of the fighters we love to watch spread out into other organisations, the more people will start to watch those promotions.

I thought Shane is one of the most complete fighters in the ufc. I remember the first time I saw him fight I thought this is the best fighter I have ever seen because I understand martial arts but when I mentioned his name people were like who is that Guy. I was surprised.
I don’t know why some people have it but just can’t bring it all together in the cage. He seems to knock out easily.
Same thing happened to the young Christian lad that was beaten by Babarina - That boy is another complete fighter.
Anyway Wish him all the best.

Dana has had an MMA monopoly for over 20 years..he's had a good run..it's all about the $$ and when you are paying 2004 prize money in 2023 fights..you have to sit back and watch Jake Paul give Nick Diaz more money in one fight (that he lost)than he's ever made in his entire UFC career and say..hmm..maybe I need to up my offers..🤔...naw🤑 business as usual..Jake had his fight the weekend before UFC Nashville boresville..that's why Dana skipped the latest press conference..he didn't want the "what do you think about Jake Paul's prize and ratings vs yours"..

The biggest issue for fighters going to PFL, the audience is minuscule compared to something like the UFC. Having a partnership with ESPN and giant visibility, these guys are building big profiles in the ufc to go and fight in the dark for tons of loot. But they’re losing the visibility and chance to expand on their fanbases.

    • @josephfeore5984

@@dharmalock5032 Burgos isn’t even active outside of the cage all of his fans he’s earned just though fighting the way he does. If Burgos was an active personality online gaining fans he would have leverage to get the big bucks but he’s just a good fighter which the ufc has plenty of those. UFC is still the place to go if you want to the make the big bucks but the thing is, you have to be earning for the company before they have you earning serous money, that’s why the champs gets paid so much more money.
