    This video came at the best possible time for me. I messed up recently and now I just gotta let things happen, face the consequences and move forward. I suffer from depression, anxiety, and who knows what else due to things I’ve experienced out of my control. Ive always given bad reactions but now imma focus on me and controlling myself. Imma just build something to satisfied with and try to be happy again.

      @tomaccino 2 роки тому +3

      Oh my, same! I have always reacted negatively but that's just a personality type and everyone reacts differently in situations. We're not wrong for being like that. After being ridiculed at two workplaces I rage quit from two jobs and turned into a hikikomori. Well, more like a hermit. I do go out, I workout, buy groceries, but I don't socialize at all. People have taken a piss out of me for way too long and now it's time to stand up for myself.
      It isn't fun, no one plans to drop out of high school or move into dad's house in your 30s, but I needed a real-life block button and I don't feel bad for burning bridges behind me. To abandon things and disappear was the most liberating feeling ever!

    you talking about how you were so tired of fighting the current is something I relate to very heavily. This past year has not been very easy, and the way you explained it, and the metaphor you used for it was wonderful, I love these videos so much, thankyou Mika

    I love the visuals of an AE86 desperately trying to control the drift, succeeding sometimes, trying too hard or not hard enough when it fails. Also just the fact that I see it drifting makes it easier to digest the video. The music in the background is a great choice too, good stuff man, thanks for making that, I think it's really important

    you upload this exactly on the day the girl I love decided to break up with me because of circumstances I had no control of.
    I'm devastated and the "wake up, go back to sleep until 1pm and stay in bed for hours" bit is suprisingly spot-on.
    some may think this message is obvious, but I really needed someone to tell me this simple truth now.
    thanks for the heads-up, Mika, you made me feel a bit better.

    I don't know how you do it Mika, but you have some disturbingly good timing with these (excellent) support videos.....I know it's probably coincidental timing, but videos like the "got legs?" shorts (got legs?, got arms?, bad anxiety bro, keep going, etc) and "you are doing your best" were uploaded around points where I was struggling with things in my life, and it was always a welcome bit of positive- now this is uploaded a few days after life *really* threw a wrench in things for us, and....it couldn't have been better timed. Thank you, I really needed that ^-^

    The short version of my story is that somebody out there over the course of months successfully sabotaged my relationship with my girlfriend. It was a lot of nights of stress, fear, and paranoia. Like a ghost hovering over my shoulder attacking me, not directly, but through other people. Yesterday it really hit the fan and I just felt something snap. Im tired of fighting. Im tired of defending myself. Ive done nothing wrong but I dont have the energy to try and clear my name anymore.

    • @BirdEgg123

    This is explained in that episode from adventure time, "The hall of Egress". Where Finn is trying as hard as possible to escape the dungeon, but every time he escapes he can't open his eyes because he simply goes back. The way he escaped was simply to go with the flow and not even try to escape anymore. "No more treads to follow, no more egress". Only than he found a way out.

    Last two years, I pushed myself to draw a lot, I managed to increase my drawing practice hours by a lot I had a lot of burnouts and artist blocks but at the moment I can sit down and work for hours easily, it was so extreme that I drew almost everyday those two years with only some breaks here snd there
    This year though I decided to take a lot more breaks and draw when I feel like it and take it easy, just enjoy it more.
    This year is my year of balance I guess and I decided I won't mind if I don't draw that many hours since it'll be my career for life.

    This is very important, I'm thankful for learning it early in life. Even nowadays I notice things that I want to be in control over but are simply impossible to be, the more you notice these things, the better you get at letting go, and that's when things start to move and you get progress. Focus on what you can really do, trust yourself and go for it without fear. You are more powerful than you can imagine.
    Thanks for the video mika, that's good information for everyone.

I worry about my self and my worth, like these last few years i haven't done anything that would be considered amazing, but at least i can say i tried and grown a bit. It feels a lot like i am floating in a current but the problem is i don't know if the place i want to swim back to is a place i WANT to swim back too. I want to believe that there's a place for me somewhere, maybe even over the horizon of the cold deep blue, just out of sight. I want to believe i can make it. anyway, thank you mika for making these videos. they make me feel like im not alone in this journey. I hope 2022 treats you well and i hope to see more of whatever it is you create.
