What if junk was all that’s left

- This thing is so clapped out who knows if it works. It’s been outside in the rain for at least 15 years. It has not been plugged in since then and the last report, it works. To avoid running full current and getting an over voltage event in the logic I need to verify the circuitry and bring her up slow with a auto transformer. Because of the corrosion, I cannot remove the cards for verification via normal methods as would have been described in the service manual. So I’m goin in thru the side. All the sides.
Junk? It's a thing of beauty, worth preserving and restoring, or at least circuit-bending to make a synth out of it, as Sam Battle probably would :)
it really is but IDK where to even start fixing this thing or figure out what its cards do but I haven't even tried reverse engineering it. Didnt know if itd even be worth it. power supply is fixed tho :D it turns on but has no X Y output. Don't know if you know but its actually a logic analyzer that you have too hook up to an X,Y scope and it writes out a bunch of 1s and 0s on the scope. I donnt think I fou nd any docs, maybe I forgot. I think Ill pull it back out. Not sure my scope is up to the task with a max 1Mhz at just as many samples probably. It works for most stuff but not radios and computer logic. I found a beautifull old scope of 5GHZ @ 2Gsamples and 4 channels but it had a very odd issue where I would go past 2 Ghz and the scope would shut down. I got it to not do that but didnt know why yet before i broke the seal on the amber display because my elbow hit the tube connector behind yolk, i left it attached like moron. the nipple cracked and i heard the most awfull ssssst. I cried instantly, before i even saw. ive heard that sound before. :(
I actually live next to a scope repair shop but the dude freaks me out a bit. I cant exactly ask for a free 5Ghz tek.
But I'm thinking i need one bad because imma start fixing peoples car computers amongst a shortage. people dont realize most times its a FET ad not the micro thats bad
