this is the best way to setup the bowtie antennas to get maximum range. here is the link to Betsos site to get more info and diagrams on the setup: www.betso.eu/b...
I don't know the answer to this....But I'm assuming the bowtie antennas are still linearly polarized just like a whip or sharky, so would it be a good idea in a dual antenna bag setup to slightly angle the two antennas in different planes? I don't see many people doing this, usually they have them both vertical which to me is somewhat missing the point of having two antennas. I'm really interested in your experiences whether there is a significant distance capability over whips. I do see an advantage in the broadband nature of bowties over whips but I'm rather uncertain they actually increase the gain/range.
Welcome back and thank you With such antennas the reception will be more powerful but maybe more directionnel ? If we don't have the SL6 (or any slot-in receivers) and we have for example 2 dual receivers, is it enough to link each receiver with one betso (and what about the other "free" antenna input)?
Yeah it should be enough to link to any distro for 1 antenna and with the other free port you can add a whip or another Betso for more range coverage if needed.
Hi Matt Price, sorry to bother you with this product being released for so long. I'm a location sound mixer from China, what I want to ask is whether this product can be powered? Because I don't have a slot-in receivers like yours, I use many receivers with a Chinese-made psc splitter, so when the betso bowtie antenna is connected, my receiver does not have any signal gain change, but once I turn it on The power on the pcs distributor, the signal of my receiver is very stable, but will it damage the Betso Bowtie Antenna?
Hi, I have a similar one.. I used it for a while but I didn't like its performance If i want greater stability in the RF signal and a safe distance (to 100 meters), what do you recommend? I am using wisycom mcr54 with Zoom F8
Useful info. Thanks for sharing. Off topic question. Where did you buy your glow pots?
Hey, did you ever find out the answer?
Nice setup

For whip diopoles I have seen people mix them especially for indoors with reflections etc...
Welcome back and thank you
