My favorite part is :28 where the previous race starts. Looks like a straight line from the stands but those things be all over the track. Great driving!
I was the tech inspector at a local track. If I EVER saw such crap at OUR FACILITY I would have called the owner and helped his goon squad escort the moron off the premises. Fortunately, that is the only instance I have ever witnessed of stupidity on parade of this magnitude. Now I'm glad I DON'T race anymore, if this is an example of the nature of the sport now days.
@Karpiel73 Thanks! The one on the left isn't used...the middle button is a rev-limiter (6500rpm) during the burnout...and the one on the right is the Transbrake button.
I've noticed in both runs i've viewed, you are losing oil pressure at throttle off, after the lights on the big end,, the oil pickup is either becoming uncovered due to the g force of deceleration, or a lot of oil is trapped in the upper portion of the engine. i don't believe it is getting whipped to froth from windage or your performance would be suffering a bit... clearly, your performance is right on the money...check out the oil control issue, don't need starved parts..keep up the good work... :)
DaGingerHeadMan Not sure why idiots like you try to correct a statement that was never made, I never said funny cars use powerglides or top fuel dragsters. You do know the term dragster refers to more than just one class right? There are multiple classes and levels of dragsters. The title of this says "top dragster". Cars in that class do use powerglides, not saying everyone of them do but powerglides are still widely used in the drag racing world. If you were to say top fuel dragsters dont use powerglides you would certainly be correct. But your blanket statement that no dragsters use powerglides anymore is simply factually wrong. Either you have never been to a drag strip or havent been to one since the 80's if you dont know this. Get your facts right dip shit.
@DaGingerHeadMan lol what? You were the one saying dragsters don't use power glides any more You'll probably disagree since you want to make this guy look so bad but then why did you delete your original comment?
...and not knocking you're preference of racing. If you really race Indy style cars, you guys are nuts! I'll jump in a top dragster and hurl myself through the lights in 6 seconds before i jump into an open wheel indy car! I think the following is true of most drag racing fans- they love their 'home' sport, but have much respect for other forms of racing. We all love the smell of rubber and racing fuel. One love!
hey i dont drive a dragster but my camaro has about 900 hp. always keep your head facing down the track, ALWAYS, circulate your breathing (through nose out mouth) while staging, helps keep focus, and lastly never think something wrong is going to happen.
@IndyCarDriver To each their own, brother. We have competitors also, "pit-stop strategies" too...only in-between rounds...having to perform with the utmost consistency every round. I wouldn't say one style of racing is better, because I know each has it's perks...but it sure is a rush pulling over 3 g's off the starting line, trying to steer this beast straight all while reaching over 200 mph, then dumping the 'chutes to stop it safely. Thanks for watching though, man! Good luck to you!
They go so fast, I imagine they must focus toward the end of the track to not be distracted by how fast they are going. Still, I don't see how they can control the machine under those G forces. I was on a simulator once that produced 3 Gs and it was hard to raise my hand and trying to turn my head to the side was actually painful.
It's because they have to be extremely fit to drive under those conditions. Racing drivers, whether they drive in F1, WRC, NASCAR or dragsters, are some of the fittest people in sport because of the constant G-Forces pulled on them and be conscious enough to do that over long periods of time for F1, NASCAR, WRC, Le Mans, etc.
I've never seen an obese driver in those categories except maybe Tony Stewart - at 5' 9" 190 pounds, probably could spare 20 pounds For comparison, Jeff Gordon is 5' 8" 150
I'm here in BR I'm going tomm to pickup a Dakota swing arm dragster with a bbc motor , guy said its making 950-1000hp I've never driven one before I come from dirt track racing sprint cars mainly got any tips to help me out ? Thanks
Nice vid that puts us viewers in the seat...on that note,...what up on that staging?...in then out before a time out!...opponent did take all day gettin’ staged too!...good job...guessing that it was a qualifying run tho’....🤔?
forgive the total ignorance but, do you burn out the tyres to get grip? i dont understand why lots of drag racers drive up and down before they are released..
As a christian I'm hesitant to say it, but I wouldn't want Jesus to fly through the airbox or engine, or get away and destroy a tyre in the process. To me in the car it would be a major distraction. Better let Him take the wheel ;)
I like how he has a cross on his car. God bless.
Might meet him if something goes wrong
My favorite part is :28 where the previous race starts. Looks like a straight line from the stands but those things be all over the track.
Great driving!
next car goes down the track blows tire and flips 5 times cause of accident a 2 inch jesus was stuck in tire

nunyer beeznaz Jesus Christ, that's a little bit of an over reaction don't you think?
But if you hang a crucifix from your roll cage, you go .5 miles an hour faster. It's a scientific fact.
+russell cragman no but the mainstream media attempt to convert you all to Satanism is working perfectly well i see
Left : Not Used
Middle : Burnout Rev Limiter
Right : Transbrake
2:03 the steering wheel looks like its ganna break off
@Karpiel73 Thanks! The one on the left isn't used...the middle button is a rev-limiter (6500rpm) during the burnout...and the one on the right is the Transbrake button.
Back in 2004 my dad had a blown top dragster that ran 6.00 at best. We won the championship that year
+Josh Worley oh god
Nice touch with the cross necklace hanging!!! Godspeed, friend!!!!!
Man, i like to watch the minutes before the launch to feel the same tension that the driver are feeling.
Haha, jesus have left the party :D

Or simply a faulty oil pressure gauge.
@@AdamKyleAnderson x to doubt.
Legend has it Jesus is still flying through the air after letting go during that pass.
Powerglide. 50 year old technology still works best.
+causeimbatmaaan Sometimes old school is the best way to go.
DaGingerHeadMan Many dragsters use powerglides, if you dont know that then youve never been to a drag strip.

@@tylerbonser7686 man I love internet XD
Wow, thats a VERY FAST RAIL JOB! John P.
Racin' with the Lord, I love it! Cool vid!
I've made many a pass at No Problem. Enjoyed the video.
nice run bro. Love the cockpit view
Fn hell that looks like fun. Theses guys make it look easy. I've been as fast as 9.42 @ 141 and that's enough for me... For now
Yes. To heat up the tires, which makes them stickier for more grip.
jesus has left the building
A transbrake will hold the car steady by locking First and Reverse together. It is used so you can come up on the RPM's before launching.

When she says you can come over and her parents gone
They do it to heat the tires up and make them hot so they expand and get better grip... Hope that answered your question ;)
Sheesh, I got a adrenaline rush just from watching that.
Love the video but dang I wish go pros would get better audio
Wow, what a way to let go of the trans brake. Looks very inconsistent.
People probably say the same about me though.

My dad has a pro mod that go's 5.75 at 249 mph

"Jesus has left the building!" Great video, man, thank's for sharing.
How much are these to run on average? My father told me back when he used to run alcohol dragsters, it would cost ~$800 just to start the motor.
My grandpa races TD he was a division champ last year. His fastest was 6.04 231 MPH
Is this for real at no problem in Louisiana
why don't you have to hold the transbrake to go in reverse if you have a powerglide?
what are the three orange buttons on the steering wheel
i dig the new K&R box. how do you like it?
i have one in my top dragster as well i love it
Beautiful rail. What are the three orange circles on the steering wheel?
Jusus must have the ride of his life!
Pardon the ignorance but why does it have bicycle tires up front?
Jesus Christ how much g forces is he taking during acceleration?
That Jesus just wouldn't ride along with a speed demon... Way to go bro
That cross look dangerous there.
it was a jump start, dnf for me or not?
what the hell just happened ??? I think I missed it
What size of engine do you have? And how much horsepower?
I'm here in BR I'm going tomm to pickup a Dakota swing arm dragster with a bbc motor , guy said its making 950-1000hp I've never driven one before I come from dirt track racing sprint cars mainly got any tips to help me out ? Thanks
how are the vibrations in that thing at 200 mph? Im guessing there arent any dampers in there...
ok, 1080p it is. since you said please.
How was the dragster running after
Nice vid that puts us viewers in the seat...on that note,...what up on that staging?...in then out before a time out!...opponent did take all day gettin’ staged too!...good job...guessing that it was a qualifying run tho’....🤔?
RIP HEADPHONES USERS!
forgive the total ignorance but, do you burn out the tyres to get grip? i dont understand why lots of drag racers drive up and down before they are released..
Why are you guys give a top speed hold on drive back and then the whole line?
What transmission that this dragster use? No shifting at all during race..
@DALYuseTAYLORMADE Thanks, i've been racing since I was 8 years old...
no its to make the rubber sticky and to put down a layer of hot rubber on the tarmac. not for the tires to expand lol
Is this a top fuel or a top alcohol seems more like a alcohol
Shouldn't that be Saint Christopher?
What is the big red buttons??? Emergency stops???
I like the cross.
i got a tip! dont buy a dragster with mufflers and a swingarm and 37 computer to control how quick it is!
yeap, gotta have Jesus on your side when you're in a situation like this.
hotpapayasalad Yeah man! Jebus will hold the dragster steady with his giant transparent hand!
not jesus but jeuse
I found jesus he was at the 60"light
@KartingHD , Yes, it is raw r5 1080p...
legends say jesus still looking for car
The crucifix THO Jesus is with you
I thought the cross was a stupid idea
I meant bad idea,in case he crashes, that's one more think flying around at sudden decelerating. Sorry, bad choice of words on my part
LMAO !!!!!
what,and make another you ??
Jesus has left the game
nice video!
the engine is still working after the run?
Thanks for the ride, sweet..
awesome and that's great he has Jesus and crosses with him. Amen brother!
how much horsepower and torque do these things have?
Once a Catholic, always a Catholic!
One 5 min confession brings you back to communion with Jesus! J.M.J :)
I can see why you keep a cross on the rollcage
I'd like to see the fuel tank gauge
basically it's the thrill of controlling an explision up to 500 km/h
2:19 speed of light?
Vid starts at 2:17
@black8oy8thst Shane Lejeune from Eunice, LA built the engine. He owns a shop called Craig's Automotive.
"where's jesus?"
"back there".
Thats my home track
who builds your engines
As a christian I'm hesitant to say it, but I wouldn't want Jesus to fly through the airbox or engine, or get away and destroy a tyre in the process. To me in the car it would be a major distraction. Better let Him take the wheel ;)
Ggyfu
Yea man, I love it!
DAMN that was fucking fast
Jesus was like, "screw that! i'm out of this danger zone!" lol
This is so fast that Jesus just flew off
Why do a burnout when it takes you over a minute to stage -.-
he did go before the green though
Jesus got pinned, then resurrected to dragster heaven!
Anyone notice the cross hanging?
Jesus says , " Fuck this shit im out "
What motor do you run?
This car has roughly 1600hp...torque is undefined as it has not been on a dyno.
cool thanks... ill try that in town :)
Did you find Jesus?
sad taht there isnt a proper mic, GoPro allways sounds likethe audio is recorded in a glasbowl
