- Ever been whitewater rafting? While on our 11-Day #Vanlife adventure, we had the chance to raft the Upper Pigeon River here in Hartford, Tennessee with an incredible outfitter - “Rafting In The Smokies.” They’re been doing this since 1978 and will absolutely show you and your family or friends a good time outside!
They are adventure experts that offer rafting, a zip line canopy tour, a ropes course, and a rock climbing wall! They’re locally owned and operated and believe that the best way to see nature is to get as close as possible. Every detail of their business reflects their philosophy of sustainable tourism.
The Pigeon River offers a thrilling ride, but doesn’t require expertise. The Class III and IV rapids are perfect for a beginner and yet still challenging enough for someone who rafts every chance they can get.

Rafted here twice and took my middle school class both times. They LOVED it and the guides are fantastic! Lots of humor, lots of "uhhhh, here we go" moments... just so much fun!
Glad you enjoyed it! Such a fun experience
I rafted at this same place this past summer so fun!!!
Awesome! Glad you had a blast. 😀
This is dope! We have booked it for the long weekend. Can't wait \m/
Nishad Thanks! Great to hear. Have a blast! 😃
Oh wow this looks so exciting!
Thanks, we had a blast! Ever been rafting?
@@QuenchYourAdventure nope I haven't lol I'm entirely too chicken hearted
@@cherishingflo haha you should try it! The other party in our raft had never been before and they were quite nervous, but ended up having a great time and said they're excited to go again sometime! They also have even milder sections of river if you really want to ease your way into it.
Love the footage!! Definitely want to go white water rafting😎
Thank you! Awesome, so you've never been?
@@QuenchYourAdventure not yet! Wanting to though!
Who’s going next month? I am and can’t wait😁👌
Nice, Michelle! Have a blast and don't fall out! haha
I'm doing this same rafting adventure next month!! May I ask did you use a GoPro and if so what accessory(ies) did you use to film this?
So cool! Have a blast. Yes, my GoPro was used. I’m trying to remember if they had a helmet with a mount already or if I used my headband. I would ask if they have a helmet with a GoPro mount and then you just need the plastic piece that fits into the mount, the pin to screw it in place, and of course the case that goes around the GoPro. They’re all slightly different. I do also have a floaty case that’s probably smart to use here just in case it pops off. Now that I’m typing this, I think I may have actually used my chest piece lol sorry there are many options! The chest is cool because you can really see the padding, but the head is probably best here so you can see up out of the raft well to catch more of the eye-level action. And if you have an elastic head piece you can always put those around helmets. Hope this helps!
Oh and don’t forget to subscribe if you haven’t already!

@@QuenchYourAdventure great. Thanks
I’m surprised the water was that cold! I went yesterday July 3 and it was 65 degrees:)
@@engagingtragedy5895 Yep, a bit chilly in June! 65 is still chilly lol but not bad. Such a great time regardless!
Is this kid friendly
Depends on your kid haha but I’d say yes! I believe they also have a more relaxed section of the river if that’s what you’re looking for.
