The noise at the hotel in Costa Rica is a howler monkey, they're not dangerous without lots of provocation, and it's super cool to get a whole troupe of them howling back and forth through the forest. They might wake you earlier than you'd like in the morning, but for the most part they're quiet from a few hours after sunset until around dawn.

What's weird is seeing foreigners who I guess don't know what skunks are, and they'll pet the skunks as if they were cats. I keep waiting for one of them to get sprayed in the face for it, but so far I've never seen it happen.
But damn do they make an awful smell when they get hit by cars.

The hotel "mistake" noise was a male howler monkey. They usually start singing around 4:30 or 5 AM and do it for a while. Then they do it at random times all day. They really can be annoying if you're trying to sleep. I learned to live with them and their noise. I lived there for 9 years and heard the howlers many many times. I miss them and that kind of stuff there. To me it's not a mistake to get that hotel, it's a blessing and an adventure and it's part of why Costa Rica is absolutely awesome.

WARNING: Animals with weird behavior like that skunk may have rabies. Rabies doesn't always appear as anger, a lot of times it manifests as confusion, dizziness, or lack of fear, like it appears here. Be very careful!

People will be SOAKING wet from them. And when they end the ride they can pay $1 for big dryer ... i hate that ride and will never go on it again lol. Its in Energylandia, Poland
