They’re a bit more than besties they’re family and they both play the same character but different incarnations. Except Peter fathered the daughter of David’s incarnation who David later married! The mind boggles!
Not just Besties he was even his Father in law.

He was my Doctor but I think we only scratched the surface of how much personality he could have brought to the role.
Yeah, it was only towards the end that he was allowed to bring any humour or spontaneity into the role. Sad.
The humor was certainly lowered for his run but it was present at the beginning as well. Towards the end his character was more fleshed out but the stories were also terribly bleak @@therealpbristow

The *intense vibing* is so true, I was lucky enough to be able to see Sylvester and Sophie Aldred have a jam session together at a convention recently- Sophie plays the trumpet, and so someone found one for her, and Sylvester brings his spoons everywhere with him in a tiny little case, so he whipped those out, and it was great fun!
This kind of chaotic energy must be in full force every time David and Georgia pop round for Sunday lunch.
I wish the actual 5th doctors era had more of this kinda energy. It’s clear that all the cast had great chemistry and a bit more comedy would have really improved what is, sadly, my least favourite era of classic who. Still, watching the stories with the DVD commentary on does help a bit (especially with black orchid, that’s a brilliant track)

Very late to this but I'll answer: Mattew (Adric) was acting a bit stiffly in the clip. Then Peter said: And the Campest Acting Award goes to: mattew Waterhouse. Camp has a few different meanings. I'm not British, so I don't know all of them. I can only assume he meant "silliest."
