- How To Weave on a Loom Series by Michael Sellick. I'm using a 15" Cricket Loom by Schacht. You can also use this loom for a 10" Version by Schacht as well. Today, I will be showing you some of the basics of what can be done with this loom. Today's lesson, you will learn how to finish off the project by releasing it from the loom. I show you how to do overhand knots and trim your tassels. This concludes this video series. #crochet #learntocrochet #crochettutorial .

This video series is the clearest set of instructions I've found for the Cricket Loom. I like the fact that you explain things clearly and in real time - not skipping ahead, allowing people to view the process again & again as you proceed, adding side comments as you go along that are so often really helpful. Thank you!
I love this series on weaving. This would make a great hobby for winter - plus you get a warm scarf to wear. I enjoy your videos very much, and thanks for all your hard work putting them out here.
Just finished watching your tutorials on the Schacht Cricket Loom; the best tutorial of all I have watched. You are a true teacher. You start by not assuming your pupil knows anything about what you are sharing; you build on each basic step as you progress. You keep your sessions brief and not wordy. And most of all, you stick to the topic! Excellent series! I will be saving your series to my Pinterest board. Got to finish up some other needlework, then weaving is on the agenda!
I have the 10” now I need a bigger one so I can do kitchen towels! Great tutorial, thank you!
Thank you so much. I've watched this series step by step, back and forth between your video and my Cricket. So well done. I really appreciated your positioning of the camera so that I could see exactly what you were demonstrating. So helpful. I've just finished watching how to take the project off the loom and so I'm off to take my very first project off! The videos were clear and concise and at a perfect pace for a beginner to follow. Many thanks.
Thank you! You are a wonderful teaching. I am inspired to try weaving!
I really enjoy watching this series! These videos are really helpful for a new beginner like me.
Hi! Thank you so much for your pleasant and enjoyable teaching style. I have watched all of your videos and am inspired by all of them. :)
Thank you ! I have watched about 5 other videos and they confused me. However, I learned so much from you series of videos. I am a beginner weaver and I am now confident that I can do this. Thank you for your time and talent.
Thank you. Great video.
Thank you for sharing your talents. I weaves along with each section and completed my scarf. I have a 10 inch Cricket.
Thanks Mikey for this weaving series (and all your videos). I've been thinking of asking Santa for a 15" Cricket Loom. Seeing how it works was a big help!
Thanks again!
Thank you for showing how to secure the endings because I had no clue how to do it.
I just found your tutorial Mikey! Nicely done! And timely as a 15" Cricket loom is on it's way to me. Looking forward to hanging out scarves and destash the excessive amount of yarn I have.
Thank you Mikey! Great tutorial! Well done!
Great videos Mikey, I can tell a LOT of work went into all of these. You make it look so simple, this company should give you a bonus for your demonstrations. I
still would like to have you by my side if I ever try to do this :)
Thanks Mikey for your Cricket series! I learned ALOT. I wondered why you didn't use the weaving terms, like warp, weft, and weaving vs looming? Thanks again, you are a really good teacher! I'm planning on watching more of your videos.
One thing I know I wish I had was a picking stick or two. Rulers work decently, but I'd like the real thing in the future.
Hey I know what you use the yarn you cut of the tassles for.... Hair for crocheted dolls! :)
