In the pipe making community we use what's called "carnauba wax" to buff the wood (briar or morta ) to a shiny finish 😊 anyway take care man ! 😊

These rings are cool and they would of took a long time to make but I looked on his website and this ring is probably £700 no offence but no one would want to spend that much money on a ring you could get one exactly the same as this on amazon for £20

It is an honor to watch a craftsman like yourself create such master works. I wanted to tell you some way to improve your videos or help you in some substantive way. Instead I find myself oddly drawn to becoming a jeweler. My uncle had a piece of Indonesian rosewood, which he brought out while we were viewing a series of your videos, with a beautiful dark line running along it's grainy edge. All I could think of was, "You could cut ring blanks right along here," as I pointed along the dark edge. Could you make a carbon fiber ring with an Indonesian rosewood core. Maybe even inlay a bit of exotic metal or mineral? Just wondering... Thanks for making some awesome videos. I'm hooked. Subscribed.

This wooden ring could not to be a strong one. Without stabilizing "stoned" wood rings they falling apart from a relative small force. I know it from my practice. I made rings from a swamp bagged out partly mineralised ancient oak bole. Wonderful material but very brittle. By the way the vid is OK.
if by chance you see this comment. why don't you (if you don't already) make the little circle center pieces left over into jewelry like necklaces. cross, diamond, hearts, Spades. i like spades. i would buy a necklace. it also saves a bit of left over material right?

Hey Pat , When you are doing the glow shots can you get LEDs around the ring that can be slowly turned down instead of completely switched off... It will add a lot of character to the shots.... I hope you understand what I am trying to say..
Adding water to Bog Wood turns it to mush and activates old bacteria. Should have lightened the colors (hydrogen peroxide perhaps) and sealed it.
How long does the glow powder last? Will it always glow or slowly fade after some time? I really want to buy a ring but I'd like to know this before I spend that much money on a ring. I appreciate a response

Why is the inside white when it's suppose to be black? I've seen wood soaked in swamp for years and they have a darken inside but it isn't hard so you let it dry up to regain it's harden back. That shit look ed like some black spray paint
This is really cool, but I want to suggest that on your website you should show what the ring looks like without the glowing affect, seeing as so many people will order it thinking it is always blue, and feel ripped off by the white, but I think it is still a badass ring!

A friend of mine from Finland told me that they chew on (still wet) bog wood there, apparently it tastes like mushrooms.
Why don’t use finer sandpaper to finish it like 3000 or even finer, which can the wood shows its own gorgeous looking.

I've seen all your videos and I've noticed the ring on your right hand, it's very pretty and id like to see you make one similar to that one if not exactly the same.
I know that wood becomes soft when boiled so what if you used an adhesive that wouldn’t Melt so you could fold the wood and make a glowing ring on the inside of the ring.
Where did you get your ring mandrel? I've been looking around but can't find one.

Melt tungsten and titanium and put them in process of forging into ring and crush diamond into pieces add diamond during the process of ring forging and the remaining glow parts will be added.
